Binance is a cryptocurrency trading platform that also has an app. Here you can also find earning methods, and you can, for example, get high interest just for having money or cryptocurrencies in your account. You can also earn really high interest by staking.

As mentioned, it will just take a bit of time to get into how it works, but then you can earn some really nice extra money passively. And the great thing is that you do not have to put your own cash into Binance to be able to start using the passive earning methods – several of the other earning options on this list offer to pay in cryptos, and you can then withdraw into Binance and grow the money further there.

Are passive income apps truly a passive way to earn?

Passive income is a very overused and misused term today. Many articles claim to show you passive ways to earn through apps, but often you have to put in quite a lot of effort. In my definition, that is not really earning passively. I picked these apps based on my experience after testing hundreds of ways to earn online.

Not really passive

You have to keep doing tasks and put in quite a lot of effort to earn.

Truly passive

You earn just by having the app installed, without doing anything extra. That is what this list is about.

All of the options are free to use and to get started with, so you do not have to invest anything to earn. But you must do it with the right expectations.

A few apps are only partly passive

On the Swagbucks app, most ways to earn are tasks. The passive parts are cashback when you shop and earning when you search online. Ember Fund and Mirex Network need one click a day. On SolPulse, you stake tokens you first earn from offers.

How much can you earn passively through free apps and websites?

If you have been looking for ways to earn passively online for a while, you have likely come across some big claims about how easy it is to earn without any effort.

There is NO magic way to make a living online without effort

People and sites that claim this are trying to sell you a dream just to make money for themselves. If you want to make a living online, it will require a lot of effort and time.

But if you are looking for ways to make some extra cash on the side, it is definitely possible with these apps. To get the most out of them:

  • Set the right expectationsKnow that it will not be a way to make a living.
  • Download several of themThen it can be a very easy and nice way to make some passive money without any extra effort. Find the apps that are available in your country and sound most appealing to you, and use as many as you are able to qualify for.
  • Use more than one deviceWith some of the apps, you boost your earnings by installing them on several devices.

Who can earn with these apps?

There are options for everyone. You do not need any special skills or training, and you can get started right away. All you need is one of these:

  • Android phone or tablet
  • iPhone or iPad
  • Computer

Sharing internet makes most sense with unlimited internet

Your connection can be slower while an app uses your bandwidth. If you need it, just close the program. On Honeygain and Pawns, only one device per network counts, so put extra devices on a different connection, like your mobile data.

Check that an app works on your device before you join:

Which of these apps work in my country?Asked about 45 times

My answer: Many of the options on the list are available in all countries. If few of them work where you live, check my list of the best international sites. For apps that share your internet, your location is the main thing that affects what you earn.

Why do these apps pay so little?Asked about 12 times

My answer: Little effort usually means little money. These options are free and need no effort, so you will not earn a lot from them. There is no magic way to get rich online, and you will not become rich completely passively.

Can I invest a little money to earn more passively?Asked about 8 times

My answer: First be realistic about what you expect back. Investing a small amount and getting a big daily income, guaranteed, is just not realistic. Paid upgrades on GPT sites are usually not worth it, in my experience.

PayPal does not work in my country. How else can I get paid?Asked about 6 times

My answer: Many of the platforms offer other payout options than PayPal. I show the payment methods of each platform on the list, so use the ones that pay in a way that works for you.

Can I run several apps at the same time?Asked about 4 times

My answer: Yes. You can use several of them at the same time, and you do not need the screen open. Similar apps on the same connection might affect your earnings, so the best way to find out is to test it with your own setup.

Why can I not share my internet in the Pawns app?Asked about 3 times

My answer: Internet sharing on Pawns now only works on a computer, not in the app. The other ways to earn are still in the app. If you want to earn passively from your phone, use some of the other options on the list.

Is it safe to install these apps?Asked about 3 times

My answer: I only sign up for legit sites and only install legit apps. If I am not sure about an app, I first test it on an old phone. Sharing a gigabyte with an app uses the same amount of your data.

Can I make $100 a day using my phone?

Not with these apps. There is no magic way to make a living online without effort. Passive apps pay small amounts, because they need no effort from you.

What they can give you is some extra cash on the side, especially if you install several of them.

How to make $1000 a month passively?

Not with free passive income apps. If you want to make a living online, it will require a lot of effort and time. You will not become rich completely passively unless you have a lot of money to invest and know exactly what you are doing.

Be careful with anyone who promises big passive earnings: they are trying to sell you a dream to make money for themselves.

    I live in Malaysia, and have been tried install multiple earning apps example: honeygain, packetstream, pawnsapp, repocket and earn.fm, but it seems running very very slow which tested almost 2 week but earning less than 0.50 cents, am know probably due to my region issue causes the demand low, but any others recommendation or tips or tricks how to configure it or so ? hopes help

    • Your location is definitely the main aspect that will affect your earnings from platforms like this.

      Other things are your internet speed, your device, and how many IPs and devices you are using.

      I also suggest you try Grass I have on the list above. It is one of the highest paying options like this, in my experience.

    • You can use several of them at the same time, and you do not need to have the screen open. As long as they are just installed and running in the background, they will work.

  29. Here’s what happened when I joined Tapestri:

    It didn’t take me very long to reach the $10 minimum threshold stated in the FAQ, but I did not receive the automatic payment at the beginning of the next month as stated in the app and the FAQ. I started investigating to see what I had done wrong, and lo and behold, when I logged into my wallet, it stated that the minimum threshold was now $25.

    So, I kept going, and when I reached $25, once again, I did not receive automatic payment at the beginning of the next month. I checked my wallet again, and now it’s a $65 minimum threshold.

    I’ve now got $89 in there and they have not responded to my support messages. In fact, when I look for them, there aren’t any – so either they deleted them, or they just disappeared into cyberspace. There is no support. And, I’m sorry to say, there is no payment.

    Furthermore, I was foolish enough to pay for the $20 upgrade, and they don’t provide a way to cancel it on the website.

      As I mention in the review above, the threshold has been $65 in some countries for a long time. Also, I have been paid by it several times myself. But I agree the support and the conditions definitely could be better.

    • If you run all at the same time it might affect the earnings but this depends on your device/devices. But overall you can definitely use several options at the same time. The best way to find out the best combination is by testing it with your exact setup.

      As for making $5 that will likely not be possible with just passive income apps like this, to be honest. But there are many ways to do this even if you do not want to take surveys. What the best methods are depends on the country you live in, but you can read an article about the best free ways to earn without surveys here.

    How do you prevent your inbox from getting spam smothered from all these sign ups the best I could think up was junk email address where all the adds can go. Do you clean your phone after using some of these apps as you know when we sign up we are volunteering our personal information so how do you stay safe and clear your phone when you are done using these apps?

    • I make sure to only sign up for the legit sites and then it is not a problem to keep the inbox clean and safe.

      The same with apps. I make sure to only install the legit apps. If there is one I am not sure of, I install it to test it on an old phone I have.

    • I am planning to maybe test it in the near future. But tried to get in contact with them as I had some questions as I think there are certain red flags when it comes to the platform – and I never heard back from them. For that reason, it is NOT a platform I recommend.

  91. You should update the SurveySavvy one, friend of mine has not gotten anything from them and he’s from the UK, they removed the UK last year. As for the US, I redeemed a couple checks worth $160 quite a while ago and for some reason I have only gotten 2 checks worth $50, it seems some of the checks have gotten lost in mail, boy it sucks. It’s a matter of luck it seems with them.

    Lately all survey panels that is under Cint have not been honouring any payment redeemed via PayPal. This has been going on since July till now. Initially they claimed PayPal has been delaying payments, then it turned into their accounts being exhausted from charges of PayPal and assured payment will be re effected from end August. Now they claim being unable to honour PayPal payments hence all points to be returned to participants account which can only be redeemed for vouchers. It’s extremely frustrating to hear lame excuses from such an established organisation. Is PayPal the only payment plattform in the world that is able to make payments. I do believe there are more choices available in the market now which are far more cost efficient however it’s very disappointing that some organisation is still lame in their payment solutions.

      And there definitely are other options than PayPal to get paid in cash, luckily. And many sites also use other options like Payoneer, Skrill, Transferwise, and similar. Let’s hope they will also start using some of these options if they have problems with PayPal.

      Which country do you live in? Because this might also be a country-specific issue.

    • I can guarantee you that you can NOT make $1588 in 16 days with Sweatcoins. How did you calculate this would be possible?

      I am sorry but I do not know any other apps like Sweatcoin. And in general, there are just not many options like this in Rwanda, unfortunately.

    • I do not really know it. But had a quick look and it is very different from the apps I mention on the list above. It is an app you can use if you are very good at taking pictures or recording videos. Then you can upload them to their marketplace and potentially sell them.

    • In Bangladesh you should go for the worldwide sites.

      But be aware that these sites are not a way to make a living or a part-time income. They are for some extra cash on the side so you need to do it with the right expectations. And you will not have that many opportunities in Bangladesh so you need to make sure to use all the different earning methods the sites offer.

    • If you are talking about GPT sites or PTC sites where you can pay to upgrade your membership to earn more, the ones that offer a paid option are usually not worth it, in my experience.

      If you are talking about investing in building an online business to grow then that is another story – but you cannot do that for a $10 investment. So if you can say a bit more about what you mean, I can give better advice.
