I tested SurveySavvy and made a video tour of it. It is legit, and in the US you can earn passively with its SavvyConnect software, but the surveys pay little and you are paid by check. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but low rewards and payment by check only
Surveys pay around $0.5 to $2. SavvyConnect pays $3 a month per device in the US. Checks take 4 to 12 weeks to process.

The short answer
SurveySavvy is legit. It is owned by Luth Research, LLC, which has been in market research for more than 30 years, and it pays real money from just $1.
But the rewards for surveys are simply too low, around $0.5 to $2 at most, and you are only paid by check, which takes 4 to 12 weeks to process. The best part is SavvyConnect, which pays $3 a month per device, but only to US users at the moment.
- Pays in cash, not points or vouchers
- Low payout threshold: $1
- You can earn passive income by installing SavvyConnect (US only)
- A responsive mobile site
- A phone number for support
- Low rewards for surveys completed
- Limited earning opportunities
- No PayPal or bank account payout option
- Checks take 4 to 12 weeks to process
- Support can be slow or non-responsive
My experience with SurveySavvy
I signed up for SurveySavvy, went through the dashboard, the surveys, SavvyConnect and the referral program, and made a video tour of it. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is SurveySavvy legit and safe?
Yes, SurveySavvy is legit, as you can earn from it, as it claims. But it is honestly not a good option for everyone. Here is what you should know.
- Payment by check only
You can only request a check, mailed to the address you registered with. It takes SurveySavvy 4 to 12 weeks to process the payment. In some countries, you pay a fee to exchange a foreign check, or it is not even accepted. Check how this works in your country first.
- SavvyConnect collects your internet data
SavvyConnect collects data about your internet activities, shared anonymously. Some people see this as an intrusion on their privacy. You do not have to install it to take surveys.
- Low rewards and few surveys
Most surveys pay around $0.5 to $2 at most, and there is not a huge number of them. Countries without a SurveySavvy partner company get even fewer.
- Support can be slow
Its Facebook page has not been active for quite some time. Its TrustPilot page had only a few reviews, all complaints, and SurveySavvy never replied to them.
- Little information
SurveySavvy does not reveal how much you earn for inviting others. Not having enough information about what it offers is a general problem with the site.
My takeThe longevity of SurveySavvy does not really reflect how good it is to earn from. The survey rewards are simply too low, in my opinion, and you wait a long time for a check. If you mainly want to earn from surveys, you are better off with one of the best survey sites in your country. SavvyConnect is quite easy money if it is available to you. As an extra site, it might be worth checking out.
SurveySavvy surveys pay little, and only by check. The top sites in your country pay more, and faster.

There are 3 ways to earn. SavvyConnect has the best earning potential, if it is available to you. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveys$0.5 to $2
As soon as you log in, you see the available surveys. Take a survey and submit it. Once SurveySavvy deems that it qualifies, the reward is added to your account.
Keep your profile updated to get more surveys. If you are disqualified from a survey, you get an entry in the monthly draw, with some minor prizes.
SavvyConnect$3 a month per device
SavvyConnect is software that collects data about your internet activities, a bit like the Nielsen Computer & Mobile Panel. It also gives you access to VIP surveys and helps SurveySavvy check if you qualify for surveys.
You earn $3 every month for each device you install it on. It used to be $5. You can do this on several devices, such as a phone, a desktop and a tablet, without doing anything else. At the moment, SurveySavvy only pays US users for SavvyConnect.
You need to sign up for SurveySavvy first. Then you can download the SavvyConnect app for Android and iOS.
Referral programNot revealed
The referral program has two tiers: the people you refer, and the people they refer. You earn a piece of their earnings, paid by SurveySavvy, so your friends do not earn less.
SurveySavvy does not reveal how much you earn for inviting others. As far as I am aware, SavvyConnect earnings do not count for the referral commission.
How much can you make?
This is where the main issue of SurveySavvy shows. Most surveys only pay around $0.5 to $2 at most. Say you get 6 surveys a month: if everything goes well, you earn around $6 to $12.
If you do not install SavvyConnect, you get fewer surveys. If you do, you earn $3 a month per device, which is the best earning potential on SurveySavvy, in my opinion. But at the moment, only US users are paid for it.
So overall, the earning potential on SurveySavvy is not impressive.
Payout method, minimum and speed
| Method | Minimum | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Check by mail | $1 | 4 to 12 weeks to process, plus mail time |
SurveySavvy only pays real money, no products, vouchers or coupons. Everything you earn is in dollars. To cash out, log in and request your payment. SurveySavvy mails a check to the address you registered with.
You cannot link your PayPal or bank account. If you want a faster way to get paid, see the best sites that pay through PayPal.
