I tested Moneywalk to see if it is worth your time. It is legit, but the rewards are low and slow to reach. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but not worth your time
A step counter that pays in points. The daily cap is low, and most rewards are small gift cards.

The short answer
Moneywalk is legit, because it really does offer rewards. It is a step counter app that gives you points for your daily steps, plus a few small extras like video ads, games and referrals.
But the rewards are low. You can collect at most 100 points a day from your steps, and most rewards need at least 10,000 points. It takes a long time just to redeem a small reward, and not all countries offer cash rewards. The app also shows a lot of ads.
- Offers a simple way to earn
- Available worldwide
- Counts your steps in the background
- Contains a lot of ads
- Offers low rewards
- Not all countries offer cash rewards
- You collect your step points one tap at a time
- No FAQ, and the support email is hard to find

Is Moneywalk legit and safe?
Yes, Moneywalk is legit, because it really does offer rewards. But that does not mean it is worth using. Here is what you should know before you install it.
- The rewards are low and slow
You can collect at most 100 points a day from your steps, and most rewards need at least 10,000 points. At the step cap, that is 100 days of steps alone for one small reward.
- The games can cost you your points
Most games ask you to bet the points you have earned. If you win, you double them. If you lose, the points are deducted from your account. Be careful with this.
- A lot of ads in the app
The app shows a lot of ads, so you might click some of them by accident. It makes the app unpleasant to use, in my opinion.
- You need to give your phone number
You must verify your phone number to use the full features of the app, including the referral program.
- Cash rewards are not available everywhere
The rewards depend on your country. The most common reward is a gift card from a store in your country. Only some countries offer cash rewards through e-wallets.
My takeIn my opinion, Moneywalk is not worth using, mainly due to the low rewards it offers. It will take a lot of time just to redeem a reward. You are better off investing your time in apps or sites with better earning potential.
Moneywalk pays too little for your time. The top sites in your country give you better ways to earn.

There are 4 ways to earn. Your daily steps are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Daily stepsMax 100 points a day
Allow the app to count your steps when you install it. It then counts the steps you take in the background. To earn, you log in to the app and press the Shoe button to collect the points from your steps.
You can collect at most 100 points per day, and it takes 5,000 steps to reach that. After that, you wait for the next day.
The process is quite annoying: every press of the Shoe button collects only 1 point. So if you earned the maximum, you tap the button 100 times. They could have set it to collect everything with one press.
Watching video adsRandom points
Click the “Get Points” button below the daily step counter, and a video ad pops up. Watch it to the end to get a random number of points. The ads are usually 30 to 40 seconds long.
There are not a lot of video ads, and you only unlock one after a certain number of steps (up to 5,000). So your earnings from this are quite limited.
GamesA bet
The games are easy to play, but most of them ask you to bet the points you have earned. If you win, you double your points. If you lose, the points are deducted from your account.
It is high risk, high reward. I recommend you be careful with it.
Referral program500 points each
After you verify your phone number, you can share your invite code. When someone installs the app and enters your code, you get 500 points. You can have at most 15 referrals, and you also get a small number of points when your referrals invite others.
It is a decent way to earn points, but Moneywalk is not an app I would recommend to my friends.

How much can you make?
Very little. Your daily steps can give you at most 100 points a day, and you need at least 5,000 steps for that. So there is always a cap on the main way to earn.
The only way to grow your points quickly is to get lucky in the games and double them. In my opinion, that is next to impossible over time, because you will eventually lose, and then you lose your hard-earned points.
So the earning potential of Moneywalk is very low. It takes quite a long time before you have enough points to redeem even a small amount.
How you get paid
| Reward | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gift cards | Usually at least 10,000 points | From stores or companies in your country. The most common reward. |
| Cash through e-wallets | Usually at least 10,000 points | Only in some countries |
Which rewards you can redeem depends on the country you live in, and so does the number of points they cost. There is no fixed conversion rate, so the value of your points is hard to work out. Most rewards are worth around $2 to $5.
The payout system is relatively straightforward. But not all countries offer cash rewards. If you prefer to earn cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.
Who can join Moneywalk?
The app and its website do not say which countries it is available in. From what I can see, it is available more or less globally, so you should be able to sign up anywhere.
To register, you install the app and accept the terms when you open it for the first time. Then you can log in and start earning. To use the full features, you must verify your phone number.
Moneywalk is mobile only and works on Android and iOS. You will never need a computer for it.

A reader in Denmark wrote that no rewards were available there after more than a year, and that support did not help. Rewards depend on your country, so check what you can redeem before you start walking for points.

Mikael: Thanks for sharing your experiences. There are luckily many other great options in Denmark.
