Grass (GetGrass.io) Review 2026: Is It Still Worth It? My Tested Verdict

Grass Rating

Grass can be a way to earn a bit passively. The first time they paid people, the rewards were quite decent. But after they finally annoucned their new reward structure, many people got dissapointed (myself included). Therefore, it is no longer something I recommend.

I tested Grass (GetGrass.io) when it launched and have followed it since. It paid decent rewards in its first airdrop, but the rewards announced for the next distribution look extremely low. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.

Personally Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

No longer recommended: the announced rewards are extremely low

A passive way to earn by sharing your internet. You only get paid at set times, and support is poor.

Good for you ifYou already run Grass and want to follow what happens with the next reward distribution.

The short answer

Grass (GetGrass.io) rewards you for sharing your unused internet bandwidth. It is a lot like Honeygain, but with a few key differences. When Grass did its first airdrop, the rewards were quite decent.

But you can only get paid at set times that Grass announces, and from the first airdrop until the second payout was announced, it took almost 2 years. The rewards announced in July 2026 look extremely low, and support is close to nonexistent. As of updating this review, it is no longer a platform I recommend.

What I like
  • Offers a passive way of earning
  • Runs in the background without eating up a lot of your computer’s resources
  • Desktop app, browser extension and Android app
What I don’t like
  • Limited payout options are available
  • You do not know exactly when you can get paid
  • The announced rewards for the next reward distribution are extremely low and disappointing
  • They have terrible support
  • No iOS app

My experience with Grass

I installed Grass, shared my bandwidth and followed the platform through its updates. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Grass legit and safe?

Grass is a real platform, and its first airdrop paid quite decent rewards. But it is no longer a platform I recommend. Here is what you should know before you start.

  • The announced rewards look extremely low

In July 2026, Grass showed the value of the points earned since the last airdrop. I have seen many reports from users who have been active for a very long time and only seem to be getting around $1–$3 worth of rewards. Uptime points seem to be rewarded even lower: it looks like you would need around 15 million uptime points just to earn around $1.

  • You can only get paid at set times

Grass announces when you can withdraw. In my opinion, they have not been transparent enough about this. From the first airdrop until they announced the second payout, it took almost 2 years.

  • Support is close to nonexistent

I tried the chat in the dashboard. I got a generic reply, and the representative referred me to Discord. On Discord, the support section tells you to use the chat on the website.

  • Beware of fake airdrops

Many scammers pretend to be Grass and run fake airdrops to drain your crypto wallet or scam you in other ways. Only trust announcements about the next airdrop on the official website and social media.

  • More devices on one IP do not earn more

Devices connected to the same public IP address split the earnings. It is more efficient to run it on one computer to lessen your electricity consumption.

My takeIn my opinion, GetGrass was great when it first launched. When they did their first airdrop, I think they lived up to their goal about fair rewards. But the lack of transparency regarding when you would be able to get paid, and the extremely low rewards then announced is a deal-breaker, in my opinion. Therefore, as of updating this review, it is no longer a platform I recommend.

Grass is no longer a platform I recommend. These passive income apps offer good payout options and are more transparent.

How you earn on Grass

There are 2 ways to earn. Sharing your bandwidth is the main one. Tap one to read more.

Sharing your unused internet bandwidthMain way to earn
How to earn on Grass

Install the Grass desktop node and log in. Then set up how the program shares your unused internet bandwidth and click “Connect”. You can view your connection and watch the points roll in.

It started as a browser extension. Now there is also a desktop app and an Android app. It does not eat up a lot of your computer’s resources, so you can use your computer like you normally would.

Referral program20%, 10% and 5%
Grass referral program

Share your referral link or code. You receive a 20% commission when your referral earns from Grass.

The program is three levels deep: you get 10% from your referral’s referrals, and 5% from the last level, as long as the referrals stay active.

How much can you make?

It mostly depends on your network score. The main factors are your location and the number of unique IP addresses attached to your account.

Devices on the same public IP address split the earnings, so one computer earns the same as several computers on one IP address. If you only have access to one IP address, it takes a bit of time to earn a decent amount.

But right now, the rewards look extremely low. Many users who have been active for a very long time only seem to be getting around $1–$3 worth of rewards. I will keep following the updates from Grass and update this review if anything changes.

How you get paid

PaymentPaid toWhen
Grass tokensAny Solana walletThe first airdrop
USDCAnnounced by GrassThe next reward distribution, announced in July 2026

You earn points. You can only get paid at set times, and Grass announces when you can withdraw. Grass tokens are traded on crypto trading platforms, so they have monetary value.

Readers in Canada told me they can earn, but that cash out is currently not allowed in Canada. I think it might be due to Canadian crypto laws.

    • Unfortunately, I cannot give an estimate as no one knows. This is one of the things I do not like about Grass – that they do not tell you anything about what you can expect to get for your points. But to be honest, you should not expect to get a lot for 200K.

  1. Thanks for sharing your opinion. Really hope they will give an update soon, but as I mention in the review above, we do not know yet what/if will really happen. We still have to wait and see and I am also keeping an eye on it constantly to see how it develops and hope for the best.

    • Mike Grass hasn’t launched yet, but have you noticed they introduced a new platform called Nodepay with the same concept? I strongly believe the same people behind Grass are also behind Nodepay. I’ve completely lost hope in Grass. I have over 12 billion points, but they’re useless. Do you still believe in this project?”

      • At the moment I am still just keeping an eye on it. As I also say in the review above, there is no guarantee how it will go, and with new platforms like this I have learned not to get too hopeful until they actually launch. But Grass still seems to keep developing and updates features regularly, so it seems there is still hope.
