My experience with Frisbee
I checked out the Frisbee app, its receipt scanning, points system, rewards and support, and revisited it to see what changed. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Frisbee legit and safe?
Yes, Frisbee is legit, because you really earn rewards from it. But that does not automatically make it worth using. Here is what you should know before you install it.
- Several readers report cashouts that never arrived
Several readers wrote that a gift card they redeemed never arrived, and that support sent automated replies or none at all. The latest report is from April 2026, from a reader whose earlier cashouts had arrived within two days.
- No cash payments
You get gift cards or a prepaid Visa card. There is no PayPal or bank transfer.
- Low rewards
A scanned receipt pays 25 to 100 points, and a digital receipt 25 points. With 2,000 points needed for $10, you have to submit a lot of receipts.
- A weekly receipt cap
Frisbee accepts 40 receipts a week: 30 scanned and 10 digital. For most people that is a reasonable number.
- Little information before you join
The website has no FAQ or Help page. You only find the Help section after you install the app.
My takeFrisbee is not a bad receipt-scanning app, in my opinion. However, it is not that great either. It takes a bit of time to earn a significant amount because of the low rewards. Plus, it does not offer cash payments. Think of it not as a way to earn, but as a bonus for sharing your data.

Scanning receipts25 to 100 points each
Go to the scan section in the app. Frisbee accepts receipts from any store, as long as they are not more than two weeks old. Make sure the scan clearly shows the purchase date, the store name and all items.
Frisbee reviews your scan, and if everything is in order, you get points. The number of points depends on the receipt total: 25 points for $49 or less, 50 points for $50 to $99.99, 75 points for $100 to $149.99, and 100 points for $150 or more.
You can also link your accounts with partner stores. Frisbee then sees your online purchases there and gives you 25 points per digital receipt. You find the list of stores in the linking accounts section.
Frisbee accepts up to 40 receipts a week: 30 scanned receipts and 10 digital receipts.
Referral program1,000 points each
Share your referral code. When your friend installs the app, enters your code and scans a valid receipt, they get 250 points and you get 1,000 points. It used to be only 200 points.
You only earn if the people you invite really use the app.
Daily and weekly sweepstakesLuck only
Every receipt you submit enters you into the sweepstakes. The daily sweepstakes give 10,000 points to each of 10 winners, and the weekly sweepstakes give 125,000 points to each of 2 winners.
It is purely luck, so do not count it as a way to earn.
How much can you make?
Do not expect to earn a lot. Receipt-scanning apps do not typically pay that well, based on my experience. See your earnings as a bonus, not as a steady source of extra income.
The current points system pays more than the original one, but you still have to submit a lot of receipts to reach the 2,000-point threshold. That is why I would say its overall earning potential is not that good.

I use this app and there is currently no cash-out minimum at all. However, you are either limited to an Amazon or a Virtual Visa card. Frisbee also has a Chrome extension available where you can earn extra awards for allowing the company to monitor your browsing activity.
