Is Zest Legit or a Scam? (Real User Review)

Zest Rating

Zest is not worth your time. If your goal is to earn rewards online, there are better options out there. This site simply doesn’t provide enough good reasons for you to sign up for it, in my opinion.

I tried Zest, formerly Blockreward, to see if its surveys and offers are worth your time. It is legit, and the threshold is low, but the rewards are very low. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Personally Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit, but not worth your time

Surveys and offers from a $1 threshold, but surveys paid only around $0.10 to $0.30 when I tested. Specific countries only.

Good for you ifYou live in one of its countries and only want to try a few surveys or offers.
Skip it ifYou want rewards worth your time, or you live outside the countries it accepts.

The short answer

Zest is legit. You can really earn rewards from it, and the lowest threshold is only $1.

But it offers very low rewards. Surveys paid only around $0.10 to $0.30 when I tested, there are not a lot of them, and offers take time. In my opinion, Zest is not worth your time. There are better options out there.

What I like
  • Offers a decent number of earning opportunities
  • Low threshold: from $1, depending on the reward
  • PayPal, crypto and gift cards
  • Mobile-friendly dashboard without pop-up ads
What I don’t like
  • Offers low rewards
  • Not a lot of surveys, and no reward when you are screened out
  • Its browser extension is not available anymore
  • Only available in specific countries
  • Not always accepting new members

My experience with Zest

I signed up for Zest, answered surveys and looked at the offers and payout options. This is what I tested, and what I did not test.

Is Zest legit and safe?

Yes, Zest is legit, because you can really earn rewards from it. But the fact that it is legit doesn’t automatically make it a site that is worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Very low rewards

Surveys paid around $0.10 to $0.30 when I tested. Paid offers usually pay less than surveys, and the ones that pay more take a long time to finish. So even with a low threshold, it takes quite some time before you can redeem a reward.

  • No reward when you are screened out

If you are disqualified from a survey, you are sent back to Zest with a “Survey screenout” message, and you do not earn anything. There are also not a lot of surveys available.

  • Its Chrome extension was removed

Zest used to have a Chrome extension for answering surveys. It has been removed from the Chrome Web Store, and I’m not sure why. In my experience, extensions disappear when they violate the web store’s terms, or when the developer pulls them.

  • Specific countries only, and no VPN

If your country is not on its list, the site tells you it is not available in your region. If you try a VPN, Zest detects it and declines your registration. It is also not always accepting new members.

My takeIn my opinion, Zest is not worth your time. If your goal is to earn rewards online, there are better options out there. It offers very low rewards, and this site simply doesn’t provide enough good reasons for you to sign up for it.

Zest pays very low rewards. The top sites in your country give you better ways to earn.

How you earn on Zest

There are 3 ways to earn. Paid offers are the one you can earn from regularly. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveys100–300 points each

Log in, click the Earn section and hit Surveys. Complete your profile questions first, and Zest shows the surveys that match your profile. Choose a survey and click Start. A new tab opens on the survey website. Do not use the back or forward buttons in your browser.

If you complete the survey, you return to Zest with a “Survey completed” message and get your points. If you are screened out, you do not earn anything.

There are not a lot of surveys available, so it’s quite hard to earn regularly from them.

Paid offersUsually less than surveys

Offers are short tasks, such as downloading mobile apps or games, watching videos and signing up for free trials. Click an offer and read the instructions. If you miss one step, you won’t earn the reward.

They are usually quite easy, but they take more time than surveys. This is the opportunity that lets you earn regularly.

Referral programNot clearly stated

Share your referral link. When someone signs up through it, they become your referral. They must meet a certain condition before you both get the referral bonus. Zest is not clear on the details. Personally, it is not something I would recommend to my friends.

How much can you make?

It depends on how much time you are willing to invest, and survey rates vary from country to country. When I tested the site, surveys paid 100 to 300 reward points, which is only around $0.10 to $0.30. That is quite a low rate, in my opinion. The rates in your country might be lower or higher, but they won’t be too far off.

Paid offers usually pay less than surveys. The offers that pay more usually take a long time to finish, so you are not earning efficiently.

Overall, I consider its earning potential to be very low. That is the main reason why it’s not something I would recommend to my friends.

Payout methods and minimum

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPalDepends on the rewardPayPal cash
CryptoDepends on the rewardVarious cryptocurrencies
Gift cardsDepends on the rewardVarious gift cards

1,000 Zest Points equal $1. The lowest threshold available is $1, which is quite low, in my opinion. But with rewards this low, it still takes quite some time before you can redeem anything.
