I joined Vanson Bourne Community, the UK business panel formerly called Vanson Bourne Business Panel, to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and its surveys pay a decent amount, but invites are rare and you can only redeem Amazon gift cards or donate to charity. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, with decent pay per survey, but rare invites and Amazon gift cards only
A UK panel for IT and business professionals. You need your LinkedIn profile to be accepted, and you redeem from 10 credits (£5).

The short answer
Vanson Bourne Community is legit. It rewards you for answering its surveys, and a survey usually pays a decent amount: around 10 credits, or £5. It used to be called Vanson Bourne Business Panel; it is the same panel.
But survey invites are few and far between, and you can only redeem an Amazon gift card or donate to charity. It is a panel for UK IT and business professionals, and you are reviewed before you are accepted. It is not a reliable way to earn extra cash.
- Surveys pay a decent amount
- No qualifying process: an invite means you qualified
- Low threshold: 10 credits (£5)
- Focus groups and interviews can pay £75 to £150
- Mobile-friendly website
- It shares survey results with you
- Limited earning opportunities
- Limited reward options: Amazon gift cards or charity
- The registration takes time, and your application is reviewed
- You must share your LinkedIn profile and company address
- UK only
- Support replies are not consistent
My experience with Vanson Bourne Community
I joined the panel, went through the registration survey, used the member dashboard, and contacted support. I first tested it before it had a member dashboard, and looked at it again after the redesign. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Vanson Bourne Community legit and safe?
Yes, Vanson Bourne Community is legit. It rewards you for answering its surveys. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Few invites
You do not go through a qualifying process, but in my experience, panels with this system do not send a lot of invites. During my testing, surveys were few and far between, and I never got a research activity invite.
- You share professional details
It is a business panel. During registration, you are asked for a link to your LinkedIn profile and your company address. If you do not share them, you will likely not be accepted.
- No cash rewards
You can only redeem an Amazon gift card or donate to a charity it supports. If you want cash, this is not the site for you.
- Support is not consistent
I have contacted them myself. Sometimes I got a fast reply, and sometimes I did not hear back.
My takeVanson Bourne Community, in my opinion, isn’t one of the best survey sites. Its surveys pay a decent amount, but the lack of reward options and the limited earning opportunities don’t make it a reliable way to earn extra cash. If you want a panel that caters to the technology industry, it can be an option. Just don’t expect to earn a lot from it.
Vanson Bourne Community sends few invites and pays in Amazon gift cards only. The top sites in your country let you start earning right after you sign up.

There are 2 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveysUsually around £5
Log in to the member dashboard and click an available survey, or open the email invite. When you get an invite, you have already qualified, so there are no qualifying questions. That saves time, but you will not get many invites.
Surveys are usually about IT and technology. Some take a few minutes, others longer, and longer surveys pay more. A survey usually pays around 10 credits (£5). From time to time, Vanson Bourne also emails you the results of a survey you took. One of the only other panels I have seen do this is YouGov.
Research activities£75–£150 per task
Online or in-person focus groups, one-on-one interviews and more. You are only invited if you ticked these activities during registration. Invites come by email.
I never received an invite, which is expected, because these are not common. According to its website, they pay £75 to £150 per task, but they also take more effort. In-person activities happen at its office, and online ones need a laptop or desktop.
How much can you make?
It mostly depends on how often you get surveys, and you do not control that. During my testing, surveys were few and far between, so you cannot depend on this site to earn regularly.
Each survey pays a decent amount, usually around 10 credits (£5), which partly makes up for the few opportunities. Overall, the earning potential is still quite low.
Rewards and minimum
| Reward | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Amazon gift card | 10 credits (£5) |
| Donation to a charity it supports | 10 credits (£5) |
After you complete a survey, you are asked if you want to redeem your credits. The threshold is low, but the reward options are limited. If you want cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
Who can join Vanson Bourne Community?
Vanson Bourne Community is only available in the UK, and you must be at least 18. It is a panel for IT and business professionals.
Click Register and fill in your details. You get an email with a link to the registration survey. There, tick the research activities you want to take part in; if you tick none, you will not get those invites. You also share your LinkedIn profile and company address. Then your application is reviewed, and you usually hear back by email in around a week. So, unlike most survey sites, you do not start earning right after you sign up.
