Is SoManyHits a Scam or Legit? (Full Review + Rating)

SoManyHits Rating

I do not recommend you use SoManyHits. I can understand why it might seem appealing, but you will not benefit from using it at all. All you will do is lose the trust of your audience if you use its link-shortening feature.

I looked at SoManyHits to see if its traffic and link-shortening tools are worth your time. They are not: you only earn when your referrals pay, and people who click your links see ads first. Below is what I found, and what I recommend instead.

The short answer

I do not recommend SoManyHits. It is a link-shortening site that claims to help you drive traffic to your own pages, and it lets you build a list of referrals you can email.

But you do not earn from it directly: you only get a commission when one of your referrals tops up their account. And people who click your shortened links see an ad page first, so instead of building traffic, you lose the trust of your audience.

What I like
  • Link shortening with click tracking
  • No minimum to withdraw your commission
What I don’t like
  • Does not offer guaranteed earnings
  • The site is quite spammy
  • People who click your links see a lot of ads
  • A $3 fee on every withdrawal
  • You can only earn when your referrals pay

My experience with SoManyHits

I looked at how SoManyHits works: the referral program, the link shortener and what people see when they click a shortened link. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is SoManyHits legit and safe?

SoManyHits does what it says: it shortens your links and tracks the clicks. But it does not pay you to use it, and it can hurt the pages you promote. Here is what you should know.

  • No guaranteed earnings

You do not earn from the referral program or the link shortener directly. The only way to earn is a commission when one of your referrals tops up their account to pay for their own advertising.

  • Your visitors see ads first

When people click a link you shortened, they land on a page that looks like a spam ad, and must click “Continue”. Then they see another ad that asks them to sign up for SoManyHits, instead of the page you want to promote.

  • You lose your audience’s trust

People who keep seeing spammy ads after clicking your links stop trusting what you share. Instead of driving traffic to your links, you scare people away. This is not a good way to promote any affiliate or CPA link.

  • A $3 fee on every withdrawal

There is no minimum, but every withdrawal costs $3, which is quite high, in my opinion.

My takeIn theory, what SoManyHits offers is all well and good, but in reality, you will not benefit from using it at all. The most important part of getting traffic, based on my experience as a marketer for several years, is to build trust with your audience. You can’t do that if they are bombarded with spammy ads right from the start.

SoManyHits does not pay you to use it. These sites pay you for your time.

How you earn on SoManyHits

There are 2 features. Only the referral program can earn you money, and only when your referrals pay. Tap one to read more.

Referral program and Traffic Line$4 to $20 per top-up

You invite people with your referral link. Your first two referrals are your qualifying referrals. From your third referral on, they are placed in your down line, which SoManyHits calls your Traffic Line.

You can export the people in your Traffic Line to your own auto-responder and email them your links and offers.

You do not earn from this directly. You only earn when one of your referrals tops up their account to spend on their own advertising: $4, $8, $12 or $20, depending on the amount. SoManyHits also gives performance bonuses when your commissions reach a certain amount.

Shortening linksNo direct earnings

You create a campaign that promotes a shortened link to any page you want. SoManyHits records the clicks, so you can see where the clicks come from.

The problem: people who click your link first see a landing page that looks like a spam ad, and must click “Continue”. Then they see another ad that tries to get them to sign up for SoManyHits. The experience is very frustrating, and people end up thinking all you do is promote spammy ads.

How much can you make?

Nothing, unless your referrals top up their account. Even then, it is hard to earn from SoManyHits directly.

Its traffic is also not the ideal way to build sustainable traffic to your sites and pages, based on my experience. If you want to drive good traffic, focus on giving your audience value.

Payout method, minimum and fee

MethodMinimumFeeWhen
Direct bank transfer through WiseNone$3 per withdrawalTwice a month: 1st to 7th, or 15th to 22nd

As long as you earned something in the period, you can withdraw it. The payment system is relatively straightforward, but it is quite hard to earn from this site. If you prefer easier ways to earn, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
