I joined Shopper Thoughts and answered its surveys to see if it is worth your time. It is legit, and you qualify for every survey you are invited to, but there are few surveys, low rewards and no cash payouts. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but few surveys, low rewards and gift cards only
A UK-only shopping survey panel. You always qualify for the surveys you get, but you need 1,000 points (£10) to redeem a gift card.

The short answer
Shopper Thoughts is legit. It rewards you for sharing your opinions about shopping in the UK, and when you are invited to a survey, you have already qualified for it.
But there are not a lot of surveys, the rewards are low, and it only pays in gift cards and Tesco Clubcard points, not cash. It can be an extra site if you live in the UK. There are simply better options out there.
- You always qualify for the surveys you are invited to
- User-friendly app for Android and iOS
- Every activity gives you an entry to the monthly prize draw
- Several ways to contact support
- Limited earning opportunities
- Low rewards: most surveys paid me 25 to 150 points
- No cash rewards, only vouchers and Tesco Clubcard points
- Only available in the UK
My experience with Shopper Thoughts

Is Shopper Thoughts legit and safe?
Yes, Shopper Thoughts is legit. It rewards you for sharing your opinions. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Few surveys and low rewards
During my testing, there were not a lot of surveys, and most of them rewarded me around 25 to 150 points. You need 1,000 points to redeem anything, so it takes quite some time to reach a reward.
- No cash rewards
Shopper Thoughts only pays in gift cards and Tesco Clubcard points. If you want cash, this site is not for you. In December 2022, a reader asked why she could no longer redeem points for Tesco Clubcard points, so check the reward list in your account.
- The prize draw is luck
You get entries to the monthly prize draw for every activity. Six people win each month, but it is a game of chance. Do not count on it.
- Surveys close fast
Each survey has an expiration date and a maximum number of respondents. It closes when either is reached, so answer invitations as soon as you can.
My takeIf you live in the UK and you need an extra survey site to join, it couldn’t hurt to join Shopper Thoughts. However, there are simply better options out there. If you want to earn extra cash, check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. They have better earning potential, and most of them offer cash rewards too.
Shopper Thoughts has few surveys and pays in gift cards only. The top sites in your country give you more surveys and cash payouts.

There are 3 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the only one that pays points regularly. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveys25–150 points each
Answering surveys is the main way to earn. When you get an invitation, you have already qualified for the survey. So you do not go through a qualification process, and you do not get screened out halfway. Very few survey sites do this; PaidViewpoint is one of the few others I have come across.
Each survey pays points and one entry to the monthly prize draw. Surveys have an expiration date and a maximum number of respondents, so answer them as soon as possible. During my testing, there were not a lot of surveys, and most paid around 25 to 150 points.
Polls and Rooms discussionsMostly prize draw entries
Polls are short questions you see when you log in. Every poll you answer gives you 1 entry to the monthly prize draw.
Rooms are discussions about a topic. You usually post a comment with your opinion and get an entry to the prize draw. From time to time, a discussion asks more of you, and then you also get points.
Monthly prize drawLuck only
Every survey, poll and discussion gives you an entry. Each month there are six winners: one wins the grand prize of 5,000 points, and the other five win 1,000 points. It is a game of chance, so do not count on it.
How much can you make?
It mostly depends on the number of surveys you get, because the other activities usually give prize draw entries, not points. So you are at the mercy of the surveys available.
During my testing, there were not a lot of surveys, and most paid around 25 to 150 points. That is quite a low rate, in my opinion, and it takes quite some time to reach 1,000 points. Unless you win the monthly prize draw, the earning potential is relatively low.
Rewards and minimum
| Reward | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Amazon vouchers | 1,000 points (£10) |
| Marks & Spencer vouchers | 1,000 points (£10) |
| Tesco Clubcard points | 1,000 points (£10) |
Shopper Thoughts offers more rewards than these, but all of them are gift cards or points. There is no cash. If you want cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
Who can join Shopper Thoughts?
Shopper Thoughts is only available in the UK, and you must be at least 18. You fill out the registration form, and Shopper Thoughts sends you an email with a confirmation link. Click it, and you can log in and start earning.
The app works on Android and iOS, and you can do everything there that you can do on the website. That helps, because surveys close when they reach their maximum number of respondents.
