The short answer

Saybucks has shut down. It is no longer a way to earn some extra money, and you can no longer join it.

When it was running, it was legit. Its surveys came from the big research company Cint, and it paid through PayPal. But it offered very few surveys, maybe 2 to 8 per month depending on where you lived, and a 2% fee was taken from PayPal payouts, even though Saybucks said there were no hidden fees.

What I like
  • Was free to join
  • Paid through PayPal from $10
  • Easy to use, with surveys sent by email
What I don’t like
  • Saybucks has shut down
  • Very few surveys
  • A 2% fee on PayPal payouts
  • A long profile that did not pay anything
  • Support might not answer you
  • It said you could make big bucks, which you could not

My experience with Saybucks

I joined Saybucks, went through the member area and read the payout conditions and the FAQ. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Saybucks has shut down. The top survey sites in your country are still open, and most of them offer a lot more surveys.

Was Saybucks legit and safe?

Saybucks has shut down, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because its surveys came from Cint, a big and legit company, and it paid through PayPal. These were the catches.

  • It has shut down

Saybucks is no longer a way to earn some extra money on the side.

  • Very few surveys

Saybucks offered maybe 2 to 8 surveys per month, depending on where you lived. Even getting to the $10 payout threshold could take some patience.

  • A long profile that did not pay

There were 128 profile questions when I tested it, which would take you around 30 minutes. On most other survey sites, this only takes a few minutes, and some sites pay you for it.

  • A fee, even though it said there were none

Saybucks said there were no hidden fees, but its PayPal conditions said that PayPal would charge a 2% handling fee. You also had to log in to PayPal and accept the payment within 30 days for it to go through.

  • Support might not answer

According to its FAQ, support would not answer a question when the answer was already in the FAQ section.

My takeSaybucks has shut down, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, it was legit, but it gave too few surveys to be worth it on its own, and it was definitely not the best survey site. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on Saybucks

There was one way to earn: paid surveys. Tap it to read more.

Paid surveysPaid in dollars
The options inside Saybucks

Saybucks offered surveys from the research company Cint. Inside, there were only two options: profile questions and the reward section.

You did not need to log in very often. After you filled out your profile, Saybucks sent you the available surveys by email. You only had to log in when you wanted a payout.

Every time you completed a survey, you got paid in dollars. If you have joined Panel Champ or another survey panel that uses Cint, the site would have looked very familiar.

How much could you make?

Saybucks said you could make big bucks. I think this was a big exaggeration. You could earn a bit of extra cash, but with maybe 2 to 8 surveys per month, you should not expect too much. Even getting to the $10 payout threshold could take some patience.

That is why I said you should only join it as an extra site, next to other survey sites.

How Saybucks paid

Every time you completed a survey, you got paid in dollars. From $10, you could request a payout through PayPal.

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$10A 2% handling fee, taken by PayPal according to Saybucks. You had to accept the payment in PayPal within 30 days.

A pop-up on the Saybucks website said there were no taxes or hidden fees, and that what you earn is what you get. Its PayPal conditions inside the member area said otherwise, so you could get a bit less than you expected.
