RewardBee has closed
RewardBee announced that it was taking a break, and it is now well past the time it said it would be back. In my experience, when a site does this, it usually means it will not come back. You cannot join or earn on RewardBee now. I keep my review below as a record. The sites I would pick instead are further down.
RewardBee gave you points for surveys and games, which you could spend on magazine subscriptions and vouchers, not cash. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.
RewardBee has closed
RewardBee has closed, so you can no longer earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, but it never paid real money, only magazine subscriptions and vouchers.

The short answer
RewardBee has closed. It said it was taking a break, and it never came back when it said it would. You can no longer join or earn there.
When it was running, RewardBee was a legit survey site for US residents. But you could not earn real money. Your points went to magazine subscriptions and vouchers, and many of those vouchers were free trials that other sites pay you to sign up for. That made it a very poor option compared to other sites, in my opinion.
- No payment threshold
- Decent support
- Plenty of surveys available, with no qualifying questions
- RewardBee has closed
- You could not earn cash
- Only for US residents
- Some rewards were offers you get paid for on other sites
My experience with RewardBee
I joined RewardBee, took a look at the surveys, played some of the games for points and went through the rewards and support. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

RewardBee has closed. The top survey sites in your country are still open, and they pay real money.

Was RewardBee legit and safe?
RewardBee has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because it gave you the rewards it promised. These were the catches.
- It has closed
RewardBee announced it was taking a break, and it is well past the time it said it would be back.
- No real money
Every reward was a magazine subscription, a voucher or a free trial. None of them could be turned into cash.
- Rewards other sites pay you for
Some rewards were free trials for services like audiobooks.com, CBS and Hulu. On most other sites, these are paid offers that earn you money. On RewardBee, you spent your points on them instead.
- Your address for some rewards
You had to give your address, because some magazine subscriptions were shipped to you.
My takeRewardBee has closed, so it is no longer an option. Even when it was running, it was a very poor option compared to other sites, because you could not earn cash. See the alternatives below.
How you earned on RewardBee
There were three ways to earn points. Tap each one to read more.
Paid surveysPoints shown before you start
Most of your points came from surveys. You saw all the available surveys as soon as you logged in to the member dashboard.
You did not have to answer qualifying questions, so you always qualified and always got the reward. Each survey showed how many points it paid before you started, so you could choose the ones worth your time. The topics were general and fairly interesting.
The reason RewardBee could do this is linked to its rewards, which were not cash.
Playing games10 points per 2 minutes
You could choose from plenty of games and earned 10 points for every 2 minutes you played. I was surprised how fast the points came when I played Scrabble.
It was a good way to earn points once you had answered all the available surveys.
Referral program5 points per friend
You earned 5 points for every friend you referred. You entered their email addresses, 5 at a time, and they had to register with that same address.
There was no limit to the number of referrals, but the reward was not much.

How much could you make?
You could not earn real money on RewardBee. The cashback rewards could save you money, though. For example, a Dish Network voucher cost only 5 points and could save you $20 per month on a Dish Network subscription.
But on many other sites, you actually get paid for offers like this, so the rewards on RewardBee did not make much sense, in my opinion. And nothing beats real money. If you want cash, see the top PayPal survey sites.
How RewardBee rewarded you
RewardBee used points. There was no payment threshold, so you could redeem a reward as soon as you had enough points for it.
| Reward | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Magazine subscriptions | Most cost 10 points | Print or digital. Print copies were shipped to your address. |
| Cashback vouchers and free trials | From 5 points | For retailers and services like CBS, Hulu and Dish Network |
To redeem a reward, you chose it and filled out the form next to it. None of the rewards could be converted to real money.
