Quiiiz App Review – Worth It? (All Details Revealed)

Quiiiz Rating

Quiiiz is not for everyone. I only recommend you join if you are confident with your trivia game skills. If you have a wide scope of knowledge, or you are very knowledgeable in certain aspects, then this can be a viable option.

I tested Quiiiz, a trivia platform where you can win cash by beating other players. It is legit and pays through PayPal or bank transfer, but most games cost money to join, so you can also lose money. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick first.

The short answer

Quiiiz is legit: you can really win cash from its trivia games. You answer questions against other players, and the player with the highest score wins the pot.

But most games and tournaments cost money to join, so you can end up losing money. In my opinion, it is borderline gambling. The payout minimums are also high: $20 for PayPal and $100 for a bank transfer. Only join if you are very confident in your trivia skills.

Is Quiiiz legit and safe?

Yes, Quiiiz is legit, because you can really win cash from its trivia games. But it works very differently from a survey or GPT site. Here is what you should know.

  • Most games cost money to join

You pay a buy-in from your balance or a top-up. The winner gets the pot, which is the total of the buy-ins minus Quiiiz’s share. If a game costs $2 and only 3 players are allowed, you receive $4 if you win. If you do not win, you lose your buy-in.

  • Borderline gambling

There is no guarantee you earn anything. In my opinion, it is a gamble, and you should only go for it if you are confident that you can win the game.

  • High payout minimums

You need $20 for PayPal and $100 for a bank transfer. Unless you are very good at trivia, it can take some time before you can withdraw.

  • Limited availability

Quiiiz is only available in the US, the UK and Western Europe. In the US, it is only available in 37 states, mostly states that allow apps with cash prizes.

My takeIn my opinion, Quiiiz is not for everyone. I would only recommend you join if you are confident in your trivia game skills. If you have a wide scope of knowledge, or you are very knowledgeable in certain topics (especially pop culture), it can be a viable option. Otherwise, you will just end up losing money.

How you earn on Quiiiz

There are 4 ways to earn. Paid trivia games are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Trivia gamesBuy-in, winner takes the pot
Trivia games in the Quiiiz lobby

Go to the lobby to see the trivia games you can join. Each game shows the topic of its questions. Most games cost a buy-in, which you pay from your balance or with a top-up. There are free games from time to time, but their rewards are very small.

The game starts when it reaches its maximum number of players. You score points for every right answer, and you get more points when you answer faster. The player with the highest score wins the pot. Quiiiz keeps a share, which is how the platform makes money.

There is no guarantee you earn anything, and you can lose money if you do not win.

Time-based tournamentsBigger pots, buy-in
Quiiiz time-based tournaments

These are large-scale trivia games at a set time. You need to pay to join most of them. Once you pay the buy-in, log back in before the tournament starts and score as many points as you can.

Quiiiz does not make it clear how the rewards are divided. From what I saw, the pot is usually divided among the top scorers, and the highest score gets the largest amount. It is a risk, but the rewards are a lot higher.

Weekly lottery$100 prize, free
Quiiiz weekly lottery

This one is free. Every day, you get two chances to play a lottery trivia game. If you win against another member, you get a ticket for the weekly lottery. The more tickets you have, the higher your chances.

The prize is $100. Do not expect to win it. Think of it as a bonus if you ever do.

Private games$0.20 per game
Creating a private game on Quiiiz

You can set up your own trivia game and invite your friends to play it for the pot. You choose the category, the buy-in and the number of players. Every time your private game runs, you get a $0.20 commission.

Private games do not show up in the lobby, so you have to bring the players yourself. It is not easy, because they cost money to play. A private game usually runs for one week, and then you create a new one.

How much can you make?

It depends mostly on how good you are at trivia. If you win often, the earning potential is quite decent. If you do not, you lose your buy-ins.

As it is now, it is borderline gambling, in my opinion. That is why I would only suggest it if you are very confident in your trivia skills. For more ways to earn with games, see the best ways to earn money by playing games online.

Payout methods and minimums

MethodMinimum
PayPal$20
Bank transfer$100

Everything you win goes to your account balance. You can use it to pay for buy-ins, or withdraw it through PayPal or a bank transfer. The process is simple, but the minimums are high, so it can take some time before you can withdraw.
