Product Report Card Rating

Product Report is a legit site and you can earn as a member. But it can take patience to qualify for the high paying studies, but if you do, it can give great rewards.

I tested Product Report Card, a US market research company that pays for surveys, product reviews, product tests and studies. It is legit, but it takes patience. Below is what I found, how the payouts work, and the limits you should know about before you join.

The short answer

Product Report Card is not a scam. It is a legit site, and you can earn some cash as a member. The biggest opportunity is its studies, which can pay $100 to $500 each, but they are hard to qualify for.

But it takes patience: there are a lot of unpaid profile questions, and the surveys tend to be long. You need $25 before you can redeem, and earnings for a survey are lost if you do not reach $25 within one year. There is no PayPal option.

What I like
  • Free to sign up
  • You can earn real money
  • Low disqualification rate on surveys
  • Some studies give very big rewards
  • Free product tests, on average 32 a month
  • App for iOS and Android
What I don’t like
  • The sign-up and profile take some patience
  • No PayPal option
  • Earnings expire if you do not reach $25 within a year
  • Little information on the site about how the options work

Is Product Report Card legit and safe?

Yes, Product Report Card is legit. But that does not automatically mean it is a good option for you. Here is what you should know.

  • Earnings can expire

Once you are paid for a survey, you have to reach the $25 threshold within one year. If you do not, you lose the earnings for that survey. Take your earnings out as soon as you reach the threshold.

  • A long start

You have to fill out a lot of profile questions before you get surveys, and you are not rewarded for them. The surveys also tend to be long.

  • Older payout complaints

In 2020, readers wrote about an account blocked pending an ID check after reaching $25, and about expired points that lowered a balance. In July 2023, I replied to a reader that it is real and does pay.

  • Hard to find information

There is no About page, and the site does not explain well how the different options work or what they pay. It is not very easy to navigate.

My takeAll in all, Product Report Card can be a way to earn a bit of income. It is especially interesting to take part in the paid studies, as they usually give very high rewards, but they can be hard to qualify for. Overall, it can be a decent way to earn some extra money for free.

How you earn on Product Report Card

There are 5 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the most frequent, studies pay the most. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysShown before you start
Profile setup on Product Report Card

Complete your profile first: the surveys you get depend on it. There are a lot of profile questions, and you do not get rewards for them.

The surveys tend to be long, but you see what a survey pays before you start, and you are rarely disqualified. They are often surveys you cannot find on other sites, and at times they pay more than most other survey sites.

Studies$100 to $500
A high-paying study on Product Report Card

Studies are interviews where you share your opinion, often at a set time, so they are less flexible than surveys. They are not easy to qualify for, but if you do, you can earn $100 to $500 per study. This is the highest-paying option.

Product testsFree products

If you qualify, you get products for free to test and share your opinion. Sometimes the product is your payment, and sometimes you are paid on top of it. Product Report Card says it has on average 32 free product tests a month. You will not qualify for all of them.

Product reviewsAround $0.5
Product reviews on Product Report Card

Once your profile is complete, you can qualify for product reviews. The site does not explain the rewards, but the general consensus online is around $0.5 per review. That is decent, since a review does not take a lot of time.

Product researchNot explained

You research products in their system and enter the price, where to buy it and other information. It is an interesting idea, but the site says little about what you get for it, and it is not that easy to get started.

Payout methods, minimum and speed

MethodUsed forSpeed
Amazon gift card codeYour account balance, from $25Usually within 3 days
Visa gift card or checkSome higher-paying studies, product tests, interviews and shop-a-long studiesChecks are mailed from the USA

What you earn goes to your account balance. You see your total and pending rewards on the reward redemption page. There is no PayPal option.

Reach $25 within one year of a paid survey, or you lose the earnings for that survey. For sites with a lower threshold, see the fastest paying sites with a low minimum payout.

Sometimes surveys fill up before you get to finish them. It is frustrating, but it happens.

  1. I done the survey like it said. N here I thought i would earn a few dollars n soon as I got done with the five minutes it said. It wants to say it’s closed ?. How about that. Just crazy I thought it was real n not a scam.

    • It is real and it does pay but sometimes surveys fill up before you get to finish it. It is very frustrating when it happens but, unfortunately, it does happen sometimes.

  2. I just noticed on the member rewards page that it now says, “To redeem rewards, Available Rewards must meet $25. Once your Available Rewards meets $25, you can receive rewards via Amazon gift codes.”

I just requested my rewards check a couple of weeks ago and hope it comes through now that this is the new thing… I’ve sent an inquiry, but who knows? Fingers crossed.

      • Went from $125 to $40! They replied saying I had expired points and that they would credit my acct what was still redeemable. So I redeemed them but the check option was not apparent and I ended up redeeming for amazon codes as that was the only given option… I then received an automated response via email letting me know it may take up to 14 days to receive my rewards… we will see.really disappointing on all the “expired” and also in my check redemption never being acknowledged. It let me go through the whole process and emptied my account balance and all. So… guess I can’t complain… but somehow I am! Lol. I will post if/when any update is available!

        • sorry to hear that. But thanks for the update and info so others can see what to be aware of.

Looking forward to hearing a further update.

          Thanks

  3. Yeah it takes a really long time to get to $25. It’s funny now I only need 1.35 to cash out and I’m not receiving any invites to surveys! I’ve been a member for over 6 months! They really need to upgrade if they want to keep members. I have actually done 1 in home pet product test which was fun. They have potential!

  4. That is unbelievable that sites not scam. You got right to report that’s why i have coming all the way.

    • Sorry but I do not quite understand what you are saying Adam – can you explain it differently?

But remember that Product Report Card is only available in certain countries. If you do not live in one of those countries and still join, they will block your account when they detect it.

  5. I do NOT like Product Report Card. If you get credit for a survey and don’t reach their $25 threshold for payment within a year of taking that survey, they delete your credit for that survey. You have to make $25 within a year which, considering the infrequency of survey opportunities and the high rate of disqualifications, is next to impossible.

    • Thanks for sharing this. That is a very important point – I have made sure to make this clear in the review now.

  6. It’s not easy for someone outside United States, mostly invited be here for years without winning a single gift.

    • There are many sites that also offer good opportunities in other countries – if you do not mind sharing in which country you live, I will be happy to give a few suggestions for your particular country.

    • Hey do you know anyone that has ever received a pay out?

I earned my 25.00 and I don’t receive anything so I email for a week and get a response that my accounts been blocked pending my sending them a copy of my ID because they don’t believe I am the account holder. Like WTF
      I am beside myself.

I want to start a class action lawsuit.

      • Sorry to hear that Tina. Did they give you any explanation of why your account was blocked? Or just that they do not believe you are the account holder?
