PlanetPanel rewards you for answering surveys, but the reward is an entry to its sweepstakes, not cash. I signed up and looked at how it works. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick first.
Legit, but you only earn sweepstakes entries
A completed survey gives you a chance to win a prize, not a guaranteed reward. Little information before you join.

The short answer
PlanetPanel is a legit survey site. It is owned by MSI – ACI Europe BV, a research and consulting firm in the Netherlands.
But the only reward for a completed survey is an entry to its sweepstakes. So you are not guaranteed to earn anything. The site also tells you very little about the prizes and the draws. It is not a good site to join if you want to earn.
- The website is mobile-friendly
- You can pause a survey and finish it later
- Available in 21 countries
- You only get a sweepstakes entry, not a guaranteed reward
- No earning potential unless you are very lucky
- Not clear about what it offers
- Paid surveys are the only way to earn
- The confirmation email can take a long time

Is PlanetPanel legit and safe?
Yes, PlanetPanel is a legit survey site. But being legit does not make it a good way to earn. Here is what you should know before you join.
- You earn sweepstakes entries, not rewards
When you complete a survey, the only thing you get is an entry to the sweepstakes. You get a chance to win a prize, usually a specific cash amount, but there is no guarantee you earn anything.
- Little information before you join
PlanetPanel does not explain what you can win, or when the sweepstakes are held. You only get a hint after you register, and the prizes are named in the invitation emails. The FAQ page does not cover it either.
- The confirmation email can take a long time
I waited for more than a couple of hours and did not receive the confirmation email. My best guess is that it arrives when you get invited to your first survey. PlanetPanel does not tell you this.
- You depend on survey invitations
Paid surveys are the only way to earn. If there are no surveys for you, you cannot earn anything.
My takePlanetPanel is not a good site to join, in my opinion. Unless your only goal is to share your opinion, there are simply far better survey sites you can join to earn extra cash or even gift cards.
How you earn on PlanetPanel
There is only one way to earn: paid surveys.
Paid surveysA sweepstakes entry
When you are a panelist, you get email invitations to answer surveys from time to time. You click the link in the email to start. The topics range from technology, products and services to leisure activities.
First you answer a few qualifying questions. If you pass the screening, you answer the survey. Most surveys have around 20 questions and take 10 to 20 minutes.
You can pause a survey and come back to it later. Not many survey sites offer this. Just get back to it soon, because most surveys are only live for a few days. When you complete a survey, you get an entry to the sweepstakes.

How much can you make?
You do not earn money for your surveys on PlanetPanel. All you get is a chance to win prizes.
So the site has more or less no earning potential, unless you are extremely lucky and win one of its sweepstakes. If you just like to share your opinion on certain topics, it gives you some value. If you want to earn extra cash, look somewhere else.
How you are rewarded
| Reward | What you get | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sweepstakes entry | One entry for each completed survey | The prize is named in the invitation email. It is usually a specific cash amount. |
PlanetPanel does not say much about what you can win. If you prefer sites that tell you exactly what you get, see the fastest paying survey sites.
