Warning: PaidForResearch did not pay me the $100 it promises
Its FAQ says you earn up to $100 for taking its sign-up survey. I went through the whole sign-up, and I never received it. You do not take any surveys: you go through 9 screens of promotional offers, end on a blank “Thank you” screen, and agree to calls and texts from marketing partners.
I received an email saying PaidForResearch.com was looking for new members, so I signed up to test it. It ended up being one of the worst survey experiences I have had, and I have tested hundreds of sites. Below is what really happens after you join, and which sites I would pick first.
Not a survey site, and the $100 bonus never came
You cannot earn on PaidForResearch. You give your contact details and go through many promotional offers.

The short answer
PaidForResearch is not a paid survey site, and you cannot earn on it. You sign up, go through 9 screens of promotional offers, and end on a blank “Thank you” screen. There is no member area.
It says you earn up to $100 for the sign-up survey. I never received it. By signing up, you also agree to calls and texts from its marketing partners. This does not necessarily mean it is a scam, but it is a complete waste of time in my opinion.
- Some of the offers are legit survey sites
- It is not clear what you sign up for
- Many of the offers it promotes are poor
- You agree to be contacted by unnamed marketing partners just by signing up
- It uses a fake countdown to push you into signing up fast
- It makes it look like there is a $100 joining bonus, which there is not
- There is no member area, just promotional offers
My experience with PaidForResearch
I signed up for PaidForResearch and went through every step to see what you really get. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.
- First tested
- December 2019Review first published Dec 11, 2019
- Latest retest
- Checked: sign-up, offers, terms
- Sign-up offers
- 9 screensAround 20 offers on the first screen alone
- What I got at the end
- A blank “Thank you” screenNo member area, no surveys
- $100 sign-up bonus
- Never receivedA complaint on BBB says the same
- The sign-up form
- All 9 screens of sign-up offers
- The “special offer” at the end
- The terms and the FAQ
- The membership countdown, in a second browser
- The offers themselves. I would stay away from them.

Is PaidForResearch legit and safe?
I would not call PaidForResearch a survey site, and it did not pay me the bonus it promises. Here is what you should know.
- The $100 bonus is not real
The FAQ says you earn up to $100 for taking the sign-up survey, which means going through all the offers. I could not find the $100 in the terms it links to, and I never received it. A complaint I found on BBB says the same. $100 did sound too good to be true.
- You agree to calls and texts
By signing up, you agree to receive phone calls and texts from PaidForResearch, Research Unlimited Inc. and their marketing partners. You cannot see a list of these partners. This applies even if you say no to every offer.
- Many poor offers
Most offers have nothing to do with surveys: supplements, credit cards, loans, lawyers, life insurance, free trials and biz opps, plus several “get money fast” offers. If you say yes, you often agree to be contacted by the advertiser, and sometimes by their partners.
- A fake countdown
The homepage shows a counter of memberships left that keeps counting down. In another browser, the number was back up again, and years later it still showed the same numbers. It is a trick to make you sign up fast.
My takeThere is really not much good I can say about PaidForResearch after testing it. Some of the sites it promotes are good, but you have no idea which ones, and the lack of transparency about what you get before signing up is a big deal-breaker for me. If you want to earn from surveys, join sites where you can actually get paid to share your opinion.
What happens after you join
There are 3 steps after you give your email. None of them pays you. Tap one to read more.
9 screens of promotional offersNo earnings
After the sign-up form, you get a long list of offers. There were around 20 on the first screen, and that was screen 1 of 9. You have to say yes or no to each one to continue. If you say yes, you fill out more info to register for that offer.
I found some legit survey sites, like Toluna Influencers and Survey Junkie. But most offers had nothing to do with surveys, and there seems to be no filter on quality. It even promoted SaySo4Profit, a site full of promotional offers with no real surveys, which no longer exists.
A “special offer” of $350+No earnings
After the 9 screens, I was told I now had a special offer and could earn $350+. You get no more information about it.
A blank “Thank you” screenNo earnings
When I went on to see the special offer, all I got was a big white screen saying “Thank you”. There is no member area, and you never take any surveys. You just give your contact details and go through offers PaidForResearch gets paid to promote.
