Paid to Read Email Review – Worth It? (Real User Review)

Paid To Read Email Rating

Paid-to-Read-Email.com can be a way to earn a bit extra. But the downside is, it has a fairly high payout threshold and the rewards are a quite low compared to many other sites.

I tested Paid to Read Email to see if reading emails is a good way to earn. It is legit, but the rewards are low, the $15 threshold is high, and the email system is confusing. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Partially Tested Last tested

Not recommended: legit, but low rewards and a high threshold

Open worldwide and pays through PayPal, but you earn very little per email, and it takes patience to reach $15.

Good for you ifYou want a small extra site that works in any country, and you do not mind waiting a long time for your first payout.
Skip it ifYou want to earn regularly, or you want a low payout threshold. Most people should pick a better site.

Paid-to-Read-Email.com is legit. It is possible to earn by reading emails and doing other activities on the platform. But that does not make it a good opportunity.

It has a slightly high payout threshold of $15, and the rewards are a bit low. The method of earning by reading emails is confusing and not an effective way to earn. It is not really a platform I can recommend, as there are many better options.

Is Paid to Read Email legit and safe?

Yes, Paid to Read Email is legit: you can earn from it. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Low rewards and a $15 threshold

The rewards per email and per survey are low, so it takes a lot of patience to reach the $15 payout threshold. Many other sites pay more and let you cash out sooner.

  • A confusing email system

You only earn from paid emails while your guaranteed paid emails (GPE) are above zero. When they run out, you have to earn points and buy more GPE. Earning from emails is a balancing act.

  • You can lose your earnings if you are inactive

Paid to Read Email may terminate your account if there has been no activity for three consecutive months. If this happens, you lose all your earnings.

  • A few readers could not withdraw

In 2022 and 2023, two readers wrote that they could not withdraw their earnings, one because the site did not accept their phone number at payout. I told them to contact support. I have not seen how these cases ended.

  • Inactive social media

Paid to Read Email has social media pages, but they have not been active for quite some time. The contact form is the way to reach support.

My takePaid to Read Email can be an ok site to join. It offers a convenient earning opportunity and PayPal payments. However, the rewards are a bit low, the threshold is slightly high, and earning by reading emails is confusing. It is not really a platform I can recommend, as there are many better options.

How you earn on Paid to Read Email

There are 5 ways to earn. Paid emails and surveys are the main ones. Tap one to read more.

Paid emails$0.01 to $0.1 per email
Paid to Read Email dashboard

The site sends two types of emails: paid emails and paid survey reminders. You earn from the paid emails. When you join, you get $2 worth of guaranteed paid emails (GPE): 100 GPE at an email rate of $0.02.

You only earn from paid emails while your GPE is above zero. Every paid email you read lowers it. You can set the rate you earn per email from $0.01 to $0.1, but a higher rate uses up your GPE faster. To get your GPE back up, you do other earning opportunities or redeem points for GPE.

Paid surveysAround $0.3 to $0.5
Paid surveys on Paid to Read Email

The site does not have its own surveys. You take surveys from other survey sites. There is no compensation if you do not qualify.

It can take quite some patience to find surveys you qualify for, and they do not pay as much as when you take them through many other sites. Answer honestly: speeding through surveys can limit your future surveys.

Earning pointsFew offers
Points offers on Paid to Read Email

You earn points by completing the offers in the points section. In my experience, these offers are mostly surveys too. You need points to buy GPE, so you can earn more from paid emails, or you can turn them into cash or an Amazon gift card.

There are not a lot of offers in this section, so complete any offer you see right away.

Cashback offersFew offers
Cashback offers on Paid to Read Email

Buy a product through the link on the site, and the cashback is credited to your account. Do not expect a lot: there are far fewer offers than on the best cashback sites.

Referral program15% of their earnings

You earn 15% of your referrals’ earnings from offers, surveys and online shopping. It is a pretty decent rate, but your referrals have to be active for you to earn from them.

How much can you make?

It mostly depends on how active you are. There are several earning opportunities, so you will almost always have some way to earn rewards. But the rewards are low.

Paid emails pay $0.01 to $0.1 each, and a higher rate uses up your GPE faster. Surveys mostly pay around $0.3 to $0.5. That is in the middle compared to other survey sites.

With a $15 threshold, you have to be patient to reach your first payout. The $3 sign-up bonus helps a bit. If you want a lower threshold, see the fastest paying sites instead.

Payout methods and points

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$15Processed within three business days
Amazon gift card1500 pointsA $15 Amazon gift card
Points to cash100 points = $1.00Added to your cash balance
Points to GPE50 pointsBuys more guaranteed paid emails

Emails and surveys pay cash, which you can withdraw to PayPal once you reach $15. Points can be turned into cash, GPE or an Amazon gift card. The threshold is a bit high when you consider the rewards per offer and survey.

    • As I explain in the review above, PaidToReadEmail is not really a platform I recommend as there are many better options. But if you really want to use it and have problems, you need to contact their support.

  2. Cool article, but as a full time student i have to say – i dont really have time to read mails all day long LOL thats why i use Honeygain to make extra $25 every month. so basically this is an app that lets you sell your unused internet traffic via it. Oh and plus now they have extra $5 coupon for new users.
