Opinion Miles Club Review – Scam or Legit? (Full Details)

Opinion Miles Club Rating

Opinion Miles Club is a survey panel exclusively for MileagePlus members. So, if you aren’t a member of United Airlines’ loyalty program, then, this survey site is not for you.

I checked out Opinion Miles Club, a survey site only for United Airlines MileagePlus members. It is legit, but it pays in award miles, not money, and surveys do not come regularly. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend if you want real money.

Partially Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit, but only for MileagePlus members, and it pays in miles

You earn United MileagePlus award miles, not cash. Surveys are not regular, and it is not always open to new members.

Good for you ifYou are already a MileagePlus member and want a few extra miles next to the miles from your flights.

The short answer

Opinion Miles Club is a legit survey site. It rewards you with United Airlines MileagePlus award miles for completing its surveys.

But it is only for MileagePlus members, and it will not reward you with real money. There is no guarantee you receive survey invites regularly, so do not expect to book flights for free with these miles. It presents more trouble than it is worth, in my opinion, unless you are already a MileagePlus member.

What I like
  • Membership tier system lets you earn more rewards over time
  • Miles go straight into your MileagePlus account
  • Mobile-friendly website
What I don’t like
  • Exclusive to members of MileagePlus
  • Won’t reward you with real money
  • Survey invites are not regular
  • Not always accepting new members

My experience with Opinion Miles Club

When I first tried to join, Opinion Miles Club was not accepting new members. I looked at the member dashboard, the rewards, the badges and the support page. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Opinion Miles Club legit and safe?

Yes, Opinion Miles Club is legit. But that does not mean you should go ahead and register. Here is what you should know.

  • No real money

You earn award miles, not cash. What you can redeem them for changes from time to time and depends on the MileagePlus program.

  • MileagePlus members only

If you are not a member of MileagePlus, you cannot join. It is also not always accepting new members. That was the message I got when I first tried to join.

  • Surveys are not regular

There is no guarantee you receive survey invites regularly. Most surveys have a limit on the number of respondents, so you have to be quick.

  • Screen-outs and personal questions

You answer pre-qualifying questions before each survey. Readers report being screened out partway through, and one found the qualifying questions too personal. A 2021 reader also reported account deactivations.

My takeOpinion Miles Club is not for everyone. It works best as a supplement to the miles you earn from booking regular flights with United Airlines. If you are interested in real money, the top survey sites in your country are a better choice, and you do not need to be a member of a specific program to join them.

Opinion Miles Club pays in miles, not money. The top survey sites in your country pay real money.

How you earn on Opinion Miles Club

There is only one way to earn: paid surveys.

Paid surveysAward miles
Paid surveys on Opinion Miles Club

After you register, complete your profile first. Opinion Miles Club uses it to decide which surveys to send you.

Survey invites show in your member dashboard, or you get an email. Before each survey, you answer a few pre-qualifying questions. If you qualify, you go on to the survey. If you do not, you are told right away. When you complete the survey, you get your miles.

Most surveys have a limit on the number of respondents, so complete them as soon as possible.

How much can you make?

You will not earn real money. How many miles you get depends on how often you receive invites, how many surveys you complete, and how many miles each survey gives. There is no guarantee of regular invites, so the earning potential is not that good.

There are five badges. As you complete enough surveys, your membership level goes up, and each badge has its own benefits.

The site works best as a supplement to the miles you earn from booking regular flights with United Airlines. Do not expect to book flights for free with the miles from surveys alone.

A long-time member wrote in 2021 that the software is broken and leads to deactivations, and that the site is worse than this review describes.

“Just signed up, have wasted about 20 minutes so far. Constantly getting partially through a survey, then “This is not the right survey for you.” message pops up.”

  1. i started the joining process, thinking it might be worthwhile. but the very personal qualifying questions turned me off. it’s fine to define a demographic, but when they started asking for intimate details, it felt like i was being cased.

so i went looking for some good, objective information about them. i differ from the previous commenter – i appreciate your review and it answered a few questions for me (although i’d appreciate more details on exactly what rewards ARE available).

i probably won’t join opinion miles. doesn’t sound worth it.

  3. As a member of that United reward site for 5+ years all I can say that your review is factually incorrect and superficial. If found more than 5 items in your report that are not factually correct. I can enumerate them on demand whenever you like. To sum it up you are simply unfamiliar with the topic and if I were you I would have remove this misleading review. OpinionmilesClub is much worse than you describe; besides, their software is broken which results in unprovoked deactivations.

    • I always appreciate feedback but please keep it in a proper tone. I do my best to keep my reviews updated and spend A LOT of time providing quality information and doing tests. If you have a look around my site you will see that I give more in-depth info about paid surveys than you can find anywhere else. But mistakes do happen and sometimes I miss some details or miss changes on platforms I have previously reviewed.

You are more than welcome to share your experiences here. But saying that it is much worse than I describe and calling my review misleading is a bit strange considering I give it only 2 stars. And personal experiences can be different so just because you have one experience does not mean everyone else has the same.

But as mentioned, I will be happy to hear more about your experiences as long as you keep it in a proper tone.
