OnePoll is a UK survey site that pays cash through PayPal and BACS. I tested it and compared it to the hundreds of other survey sites I have tested. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick first.
Legit, but low rewards and a high £20 threshold
UK residents only. Cash through PayPal or BACS, but it takes many surveys to reach £20.

The short answer
OnePoll is legit. You get paid for the surveys you take, in cash through PayPal or BACS, and its support is good.
But the rewards are fairly low and the payout threshold is £20, so it takes weeks or even months to cash out. It is now only open to UK residents. It can be an extra site, but do not rely on it alone.
- Good customer support, usually within a day
- Cash payouts through PayPal or BACS
- User-friendly app for iOS and Android
- A £5 bonus when you register
- Fairly low rewards for completing surveys
- High payout threshold: £20 (2,000 points)
- Few earning opportunities
- Payouts can take up to 28 or 30 days
- Only open to UK residents
My experience with OnePoll
I tested OnePoll and recorded a video guide that shows how it works. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.
- First tested
- May 2019Review first published May 17, 2019
- Latest retest
- Checked: surveys, payouts, app, support
- Typical survey reward
- Around 20 points (£0.20)Most surveys I could get
- Surveys available
- Often noneBased on my testing
- The surveys in the dashboard and their rewards
- The payout options and the threshold
- The app and the website on a mobile phone
- The Contact Us page and the contact form
- A payout. My review does not show a payment from OnePoll.
- The BACS and PayPal waiting times. These are what OnePoll states.
Inside OnePoll: my video
In the video below, I give you a full guide to how OnePoll works. The design of the platform has changed a bit since I recorded it, but it still offers the same kind of earning opportunities.
Screenshots from my test
OnePoll pays little per survey and has a £20 threshold. The top sites in your country let you cash out sooner.

Is OnePoll legit and safe?
Yes, OnePoll is legit. You get paid for the surveys you take, as long as you reach the threshold. But it has some big drawbacks. Here is what you should know.
- The threshold is high for the rewards
You need £20 (2,000 points) to cash out, and a survey usually pays less than £1. Expect it to take weeks or even months to reach the threshold.
- Two readers report closed accounts
Two readers wrote that OnePoll closed or banned their account before they could cash out. One was asked for photos of their ID and of themselves holding the ID. I have not been able to check this myself.
- Payouts take a long time
BACS payments can take up to 28 days. PayPal payments can take up to 30 days, and PayPal comes with a transaction fee, so you do not get the full amount you earned.
- Often no surveys
Paid surveys are the only way to earn. Based on my testing, there are often no surveys available, and then you cannot earn.
My takeAll in all, OnePoll is a decent survey site. But the high payment threshold and the fairly low survey rewards just don’t make it a very appealing choice, in my opinion. It might be worth checking out as an extra site, but I think you should definitely make sure to also join other sites as OnePoll alone will give too limited opportunities.
How you earn on OnePoll
Since the move to the QuestionPro platform, there is only one way to earn: paid surveys.
Paid surveysUsually under £1
When you log in, you see all the surveys you can take, with the reward for each one. In my opinion, the rewards are a little too low compared to many other survey sites, and some surveys take quite a while to finish.
There is no guarantee you qualify for a survey. That is how it is on all paid survey sites. If there are no surveys available, which happens quite often based on my testing, you cannot earn.
Before the move, OnePoll offered a few other ways to earn. Now surveys are the only one.

How much can you make?
Most of the surveys I got when I tested OnePoll paid around 20 points, which is £0.20. At that rate, you need more than 100 surveys to reach the payout threshold.
Some surveys pay more, and the rewards vary from survey to survey. But no matter what, expect it to take weeks and even months to reach £20, so you need patience.
The fairly low rewards and the high payout threshold are what put me off OnePoll. In my opinion, you are better off spending your time on survey sites that offer better rewards.
Payout methods, minimum and speed
| Method | Minimum | Fee | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|
| BACS (UK bank payment) | £20 (2,000 points) | None mentioned | Up to 28 days |
| PayPal | £20 (2,000 points) | A transaction fee | Up to 30 days |
BACS is an automated payment system that mainly operates in the UK. The payout methods are nice, because you get your earnings in cash. But the threshold is too high compared to the fastest paying survey sites, and the wait is long.
The payout speeds are what OnePoll states. The threshold used to be £40.
What readers told me
This review has 4 comments since 2022: 2 from readers and 2 replies from me. Both readers wrote about the same thing.
Two readers report OnePoll closed or banned their account when they were close to a reward. One was asked for photos of their ID first. One mentions a $65 minimum, which is not the £20 threshold OnePoll shows now.
“… my experience was that as soon as I had enough points for a reward they closed my account. When I queried this I was told that I had to submit all kinds of ID…”

“They are a scam company and ban members before they can reach the $65 minimum to cash out.”

Who tested OnePoll for this review
If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with OnePoll, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
I agree with Ben’s comments. The site gives every appearance of being legit, but my experience was that as soon as I had enough points for a reward they closed my account. When I queried this I was told that I had to submit all kinds of ID, including photos of my ID and photos of myself ‘holding the ID’ An attempt to unsubscribe was also unsuccessful because ‘my account was no longer active’, so I had to list the site as Spam
Best avoided!

One Poll is no longer legit. They are a scam company and ban members before they can reach the $65 minimum to cash out.
