My first survey was the profile survey. It took less than five minutes and paid 100 points. After that, I had to wait a while for the next survey. The site says to expect no more than two surveys per month.
You do not go through a qualifying process: if you get an invite, you already qualify. Sometimes you get a very short invite without a reward. Those check if you fit certain surveys, so do not ignore them.
