Is MindField Online Legit? (Why It Might NOT Be Worth It)

MindField Online Rating

MindField Online is a survey panel that has a low payout threshold. However, because it is difficult to qualify for surveys on the site, it can still take patience to reach the threshold.

I looked into MindField Online to see if it can compete with the many other ways to earn I have tested. It is legit, but it is now invite-only, it is hard to qualify for its surveys, and many people complain about its support. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Partially Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit, but invite-only and not worth the time

A low $5 payout threshold, but it is hard to get in, hard to qualify for surveys, and support complaints go unanswered.

Good for you ifYou already have a MindField Online invite and want a small extra survey site in the US or Canada.
Skip it ifYou want to join a survey site today. You can only join MindField Online with an invite, and there are many better sites in the US and Canada.

The short answer

MindField Online is legit. It offers real ways to get paid, and it is approved by several market research associations. So it is not a scam.

But it has become an invite-only panel, and it does not tell you how to get an invite. Many people complain that it is hard to qualify for its surveys and that the support does not help. In my opinion, it is not worth the time.

What I like
  • Free to join
  • Low payout threshold of $5
  • PayPal and gift card payouts
  • Several contact options, including a phone number
What I don’t like
  • Invite-only: you cannot simply sign up
  • Difficult to qualify for surveys
  • Outdated website
  • Many complaints about poor support
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • US and Canada only, and no app anymore

Is MindField Online legit and safe?

Yes, MindField Online is legit. It does offer real ways to get paid. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • You need an invite

MindField Online previously stopped accepting new members. Now it is invite-only, and it does not tell you how to get an invite. When it is not accepting members, it gives little information.

  • It is hard to qualify for surveys

Not qualifying for every survey is normal on any survey site. But many people complain that on MindField it is even harder than on the average survey site. Since surveys are the main way to earn, this makes it difficult to earn enough.

  • Many complaints about support

The support does answer, based on testimonials I have seen. But people are often frustrated by the answers, and when they ask for more explanation, they often do not hear back. I have not seen MindField respond to any of the online complaints I found.

  • Few signs it is kept up to date

The website looks outdated, the app is gone, and the FAQ has said for years that it will open in more countries soon, without it happening.

My takeOverall, from my research about MindField Online, I think it is not really worth the time. It will take a lot of patience to earn any money there. There are so many great survey sites in the US and Canada that it is, in my opinion, not worth spending time on a site where you are not really sure if they are even keeping it updated.

How you earn on MindField Online

There are 4 ways to earn. Surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysMain earner

Some surveys are MindField Online’s own. Others come from third-party providers, where you are taken to other sites to complete them.

It offers a decent number of surveys, but many people complain about how hard it is to qualify for them.

Focus groupsNot often

At times, you might be offered a focus group interview. They usually pay quite well and can be fun, so I recommend considering it if you get the offer. But there is no guarantee you will ever get one.

Referral program$1 per friend
Invite friends to MindField Online

You get $1 the first time a friend you invited completes a survey. It is not a sustainable way to earn, and only recommend a panel to friends if you truly like it yourself.

SweepstakesLuck only

Every survey you complete gives you an entry into the sweepstakes. You also get an entry when a friend you referred becomes active. The prizes vary; you can see the current prizes in the member area. Do not rely on it.

Payout methods and minimum

MethodMinimum
PayPal$5
Gift cards, for example Amazon or Walmart$5

The $5 payout threshold is fairly low. But with the limited opportunities on MindField, it can still take some patience to reach it. That is why it does not belong among the fastest paying survey sites, even with a low threshold.

Mikael: Sorry to hear that. As I explain in the review above, it is not really a platform I recommend as there are many better options, in my experience.
