LiveTribe rewards people in Australia and New Zealand for surveys and other market research. I signed up and tested it myself. Below is how it works, how you get paid, what readers report, and which sites I would pick first.
A real survey site for Australia and New Zealand, but few chances to earn
Cash out from $20 (AUD). Big prize draws, but limited surveys, and several readers report slow or missing redemptions.

The short answer
LiveTribe is a real survey site that rewards you with points for surveys and other market research. Every completed activity also gets you an entry into a $5,000 quarterly prize draw.
But it has limited earning opportunities and a high threshold for cash. Several readers report that their redemptions took months or did not arrive, and that support did not reply. It is not a good primary site to earn from. The top survey sites in Australia and New Zealand give you more chances to earn and lower thresholds.
- Quarterly $5,000 prize draw and a monthly $100 draw
- Mobile-friendly website
- 1,000-point sign-up bonus
- Easy registration, also with Facebook
- Limited earning opportunities
- High payout threshold for cash rewards
- Several readers report slow or missing redemptions
- Hard to work out what your points are worth
- Only available in Australia and New Zealand

Is LiveTribe legit and safe?
LiveTribe is a real survey site that rewards you for completing its market research. Several readers report problems when they redeem. Here is what you should know before you join.
- Several readers report slow or missing redemptions
Since 2023, several readers told me their redemptions took more than 2 months or were not honored, and that the support team did not reply to their emails. One reader wrote that LiveTribe closed their account when they asked about a missing voucher.
- High threshold for cash
You need at least $20 (AUD) to cash out, so you wait a long time before you can withdraw. Readers report that PayPal needs more points than gift cards.
- Hard to know what your points are worth
The value of your points depends on the reward you pick. Readers report many screen-outs, with a small number of points as a consolation.
- Few invites
How much you earn depends on how many invites you get, and you have no control over that. A reader in New Zealand got no survey invites in 7 months.
- Australia and New Zealand only
You may be able to register from elsewhere, but you will never receive an invite.
My takeLiveTribe is only worth joining if you are looking for additional sites to earn from. It is not a great primary site, but the high cash prize of the quarterly prize draw can still make it worth a look. Just do not expect to earn a lot: the opportunities are limited, the cash threshold is high, and several readers report slow or missing redemptions.
How you earn on LiveTribe
There are 2 ways to earn: market research activities and prize draws. Tap one to read more.
Market research activitiesAround $1 to $1.5 per survey
You get invites by email. Each invite shows the reward, what you need to do, and the link. Surveys were the most common activity in my test. LiveTribe says you can also be invited to shopping diaries and online panel discussions, which pay more but take more time. I have not tried those.
You first answer some qualifying questions. If you qualify, you answer the actual survey and get the reward from the invitation. Every completed activity also gives you an entry into the quarterly prize draw.
Competitions and prize drawsLuck only
The monthly prize draw has a $100 grand prize. To join, you answer the monthly competition question.
The quarterly prize draw has a $5,000 grand prize. You get an entry for every market research activity you complete before the draw. Other members do too, so the chance of winning is very slim. It is a nice bonus if you win, but you cannot rely on it.

How much can you make?
It depends on how many market research activities you complete, and that depends on how many invites you get. Always accept the invites you receive.
I can personally attest to the surveys: they usually paid around $1 to $1.5 in my test. Readers report less. One wrote that a 15 to 20 minute survey gives around 1,000 points, which is less than $1.
Overall, the earning potential is not that good, because LiveTribe does not offer a lot of earning opportunities. The prize draws are big, but you cannot rely on them.
Rewards and minimum
| Reward | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| LiveTribe Rewards card | Shown in your account | Spend it on brands of your choice |
| Cash to your bank account | $20 (AUD) | A bit high in my opinion |
The value of your points changes with the reward you choose, so it is hard to work out what your points are worth. Readers report that PayPal needs more points than gift cards, and that a redemption can take 6 to 8 weeks or longer.

Who tested LiveTribe for this review
If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with LiveTribe, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
iLink sold all its survey products, including LiveTribe and member personal data, to a new company called Pure Profile for AU$1.2 million. From that amount, iLink paid some members reward redemptions who would continue to do their surveys. Let me see what will happen to my future reward redemptions under the new company before leaving this site.

I’ve been with LiveTribe for over three years. I did many surveys and collected more than 1.5 lakh points. Three weeks ago, I made my first two redemptions: a $100 Giftpay voucher and a $50 PayPal cash deposit, but both were not honored. PayPal cash deposits are still manual, and they need more than 2 months to credit your account. LiveTribe minimum PayPal redemption is $50; at the same time, on other survey sites, the minimum PayPal cash deposit is $5 and is automated, and money will be in your account immediately once you redeem your points. I think there are a couple of reasons why LiveTribe still credits PayPal accounts manually. Actually, they want to pay only a few redemptions if you remember and remind them multiple times. They set a payment threshold of 8 weeks, so everyone will wait for their payment and, in between, do their surveys. LiveTribe is just fooling their members, and I am one of them.
Sorry to hear that but thanks for sharing your experiences.
I joined this survey site 7 months ago by without considering the worst reviews on this company and started attending their surveys. Later, I experienced that it was very difficult to complete their surveys and collect points; in most of the surveys, you will be screened out and qualify for just 120 disqualification points same time you need a minimum of 15650 points for a minimum redemption of a $20 GiftPay voucher. Most of the surveys are 700 points 15 mins long. I attended not less than 30 surveys and completed 10 surveys for my first redemption. There is a huge difference in points required between eftpos, PayPal, and GiftPay cards ($50 GiftPay Voucher = 38650 points, but for the minimum $50 PayPal Deposit, you need 42000 points). The company itself confirms a long waiting period of 6–8 weeks to reach you with the reward.
I redeemed my hardly earned points for a $30 gift card two months ago. After the promised waiting period of 6–8 weeks they didn’t send me the voucher so I emailed their customer service, but they terminated my account, saying there was some illegal activity from my side. I honestly attended their surveys and redeemed points—I am sure nothing else I did; they didn’t say what illegal activity I was involved in. It was a complete waste of time and effort for me, but I am sure they made a good amount from the surveys I completed. They are just exploiting new members ignorance and innocence.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I have been with LiveTribe for many years, and now and then the value for members time is the same: 840 points = $1. Now payment options are very limited, and the minimum redemption has doubled to $20, so you have to complete a minimum of 25 surveys to collect points for your first redemption and wait 2-3 months. Before, even though the reward payment threshold was 2 months, they honored my claims at least within 3 months after my complaint to customer support. In the last two years, members’ claims have been ignored. I have been waiting for more than 2 months for my last 3 redemptions for $100. There has been no response to my emails from the support team, and this is the right time to boycott. Don’t go anywhere near them!
After 8 months of experience with LiveTribe, I can say this survey site is unprofessional, unlawful, unethical, useless, dishonest, and rubbish. I have already unsubscribed from LiveTribe and deleted my account. I don’t want their gift voucher that I claimed three months ago. In my opinion, just keep away from this BS survey site and save your valuable time.
I am a NZ resident joined this survey site 7 months ago but till now I haven’t got a single survey request. I think this company is collecting NZ residents personal data just for selling to other third party websites and making money. After registration with this website my inbox is filled with nonsense and useless ads.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. You can check out the best survey sites in NZ here where you will definitely find quite a lot of options.
Useless and BS survey site. I wasted my time and effort for their rubbish surveys. They used me for their surveys and rejected my claim. It took more than 6 months for me to collect points for just a $50 PayPal cash. Over11 weeks back I made a claim and it’s still not credited. For PayPal credit the waiting time is 8 weeks that is not acceptable. I don’t know why they need like this customer support team; I send many emails but no response.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Waste of time and effort for nothing. Almost all surveys are 15 minutes 700 points or less and mostly you will be screened out of some criteria and you will get just 160 bonus points. For a minimum redemption, $20 Giftpay Voucher you need @16000 points. So you need to attend a minimum of 40-50 surveys, which means you have to spend 20-25 Hrs. Tired of their poorly presented surveys you definitely stop doing their surveys without claiming any reward after completing many surveys. They want the same from each panelist then only they can make a good amount from them without paying a single penny. By chance if you could earn minimum points and make a redemption then it will take minimum 2 months to reach you the reward, that also not sure you may need to mail them frequently for their vague response. In between your account may be deleted without any proper reason. I stopped attending their surveys after completing more than 25 surveys and collected @9000 points.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. You can check out a list of the best sites in the UK here. All of those give a lot better opportunities, in my experience.
Unlucky, I got 1500 points, checked the rewards page, did the maths and immediately said nope. A 15-20 min survey will give around 1000 points (less than $1). I can make the min payout on this survey site on another in less than 90 mins of doing surveys.
I am a verified member of LiveTribe. I honestly attended and completed more than 60 surveys, and I spent a minimum of 15 hours collecting enough points for a $50 PayPal cash credit. While selecting the PayPal cash option and clicking the redeem button, nothing happens. I complained to the support team but got no response. On other survey sites, the minimum PayPal payout is $5, and it will be credited to our account immediately once we redeem. For LiveTribe, the minimum PayPal cash payout is $50, and we have to wait 6–8 weeks before crediting the amount. Utterly disappointed.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Very slow to accumulate points and they do not pay a fair reward for the effort you put for surveys. It will take months/years for accumulating points for your first redemption. Even after redemption they are not going to send you the reward. I just deleted my account.
