I checked out Jet Opinions, formerly PointsForSurveys, to see if it is a good way to earn by sharing your opinion. It is legit, but it only rewards TrueBlue points, and only TrueBlue members in the US can join. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but only for JetBlue TrueBlue members
Surveys pay TrueBlue points you can use for flights, not real money. US residents with a TrueBlue account only.

The short answer
Jet Opinions is legit. It is not a scam. It is a survey panel created exclusively for members of TrueBlue, the frequent flyer program of JetBlue Airways. It used to be called PointsForSurveys.
But you will not earn real money. Your rewards are TrueBlue points, which you can use to book flights. You must be a TrueBlue member and a US resident to join. If you manage to become a member, it can be a decent supplement for piling up TrueBlue points.
- The frequency of survey invites is quite high
- The process of answering surveys and receiving rewards is pretty straightforward
- A pre-qualifying process, so you know right away if you qualify
- TrueBlue is free to sign up for
- You won’t be able to earn real money
- You have to be a TrueBlue member to join their panel
- Earning potential is pretty low
- The disqualification rate for surveys is quite high
- The website is not optimized for mobile
My experience with Jet Opinions
I checked out the Jet Opinions website, the registration form, the rewards, the mobile version and the support options. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Jet Opinions legit and safe?
Yes, Jet Opinions is legit. It is not a scam. But that does not automatically mean you should sign up right away. Here is what you should know.
- No real money
If you were expecting to earn real money, you will be disappointed. You only earn TrueBlue points, and you redeem them on the TrueBlue platform, not on Jet Opinions.
- TrueBlue members in the US only
Right from the start, the registration form asks for your TrueBlue number. Without one, you cannot register. You also have to be a US resident. TrueBlue itself is free to sign up for.
- Many invites, but many disqualifications
Based on feedback from members, the survey invitations are quite frequent, but the disqualification rate is quite high. You have to be patient if you want to earn a lot of points.
- Hard to use on a phone
There is no app, and the website is not optimized for mobile. You have to scroll left and right or zoom in and out just to read all the content.
- Accounts can be closed without a reason given
In January 2021, a reader wrote that their account was terminated after six years, and that Jet Opinions would not say why. If that happens, there is not much you can do.
My takeAs I have said, it is not for everybody. If you manage to become a member, though, this can be a decent supplement for piling up TrueBlue points, which you can then use to book free flights. You do have to be patient because it has a high disqualification rate for surveys.
Jet Opinions only pays TrueBlue points. These survey sites pay real money and do not require a membership elsewhere.
See the best sites in your countryHow you earn on Jet Opinions
There is only one way to earn: paid surveys.
Paid surveysTrueBlue points
Jet Opinions runs paid surveys to help other organizations and businesses improve their products and services. You are rewarded for each survey you complete.
After you register, you see the available surveys in your member dashboard. You also receive an invite email when there is a survey you can take.
When you click a survey, you first answer a few pre-qualifying questions that check if you fit the demographic the survey targets. If you qualify, you go on to the actual survey. The good thing is that you know right away if you qualify, so you do not waste time on a survey you will not be rewarded for.
When you complete the survey, you are awarded points. They show up in your TrueBlue account, not in your Jet Opinions account.

How much can you make?
If we are talking about real money, you will not be able to earn from this site.
If you are a TrueBlue member, you can save a good amount when you book your next flight. How much depends on how many surveys you are invited to, how many you actually complete, and how many points you get for each one. The website does not say how many points you usually get per survey.
Jet Opinions says it sends surveys regularly, and members say the invitations are quite frequent. But the disqualification rate is quite high. If you keep answering surveys, you can eventually earn enough points to book a flight without paying a single cent, or to significantly reduce its cost.
How you get rewarded
| Reward | Where you redeem it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| TrueBlue points | On the TrueBlue platform | Use them to book flights or other amenities you can get with TrueBlue points |
Think of Jet Opinions as an additional way to earn TrueBlue points without having to book a flight. That is a pretty big bonus if you are a TrueBlue member.

Who checked Jet Opinions for this review
If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with Jet Opinions, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
After being a member and participating in surveys for 6 years, my account was flagged and a few days later I was notified by a generic email that account was terminated because I either had multiple accounts or have been providing inaccurate responses to survey questions. Since I respond to all surveys with honest and accurate answers I asked for clarification of why account was terminated but email answer was that such information could not be shared. Since I do not like to be falsely accused of misdeeds I would like to know exactly what caused my account termination. Just curious
This is definitely frustrating. Was it your PointsForSurveys account that got terminated?
Unfortunately, if the platform does want to give more info there is not much to do even though it is very frustrating.
