Ipsos iSay Review: Legit or Scam? (Real User Review)

Ipsos iSay Rating

Ipsos iSay is a reputable survey site with decent options. But it can take some patience to earn and does not have as many options as many other sites.

I tested Ipsos iSay myself and compared it to the hundreds of other survey sites I have tested. It is legit, and it is easy to use, but it has fewer surveys than the top sites. Below is how it works, how you get paid, and the problems readers report.

The short answer

Ipsos iSay is a legit survey site, run by Ipsos, one of the largest market research companies in the world. The rewards for your time are decent, and it is easy to use.

But it has fewer surveys than the top-paying survey sites, and how many you get depends on your country. Support is slow, and some readers report closed accounts before they could redeem their points. It can be worth it as an extra site, not as your main one.

What I like
  • Has a good app
  • Good reward options in most countries
  • Easy to use
  • Available in around 100 countries
What I don’t like
  • Poor customer support in some countries
  • Not all countries have the same opportunities
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Some readers report accounts closed before they could redeem

My experience with Ipsos iSay

I joined Ipsos iSay, took its surveys, and have been in contact with its staff several times. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Ipsos iSay legit and safe?

Yes, Ipsos iSay is a legit survey site with a big company behind it. But that does not automatically make it a good use of your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Readers report closed accounts

From 2022 to 2024, several readers wrote that Ipsos iSay closed or locked their account before they could redeem their points, without a clear explanation. Others reported a voucher worth less than they redeemed, or product tests that were not paid. These reports are a few years old, and the panel still runs. Redeem your points when you reach the minimum, and keep the survey codes of product tests.

  • Support is slow

I have been in contact with the Ipsos iSay staff several times. They were slow and very poor at giving useful information. Each country has its own panel, so you might have more luck with the support where you live.

  • The site can be unstable

In September 2026, readers reported error messages on all surveys. In my experience, there are regular issues on Ipsos. Usually they are fixed within a few days.

  • Your country decides how much you can do

Some countries get several surveys every day, others a lot fewer. The reward options also differ per country.

  • Your profile does not pay

Fill out your profile after you join to get more surveys. You do not get paid for it.

My takeAs I already mentioned, Ipsos iSay is a legit survey site, and it is easy to use and offers some good rewards. I think it can be worth considering if you want to join as many survey sites as possible. But if you want to prioritize and only go for sites with the absolute best earning opportunities, you should join the top paying survey sites instead.

How you earn on Ipsos iSay

There are 2 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysMain earner
Ipsos iSay surveys

Surveys are the main way to earn. The topics are wide, like politics, lifestyle, entertainment, music and household products, so some can be quite interesting.

You get an email when there is a new survey for you. There are a decent number of surveys, but it can take patience to find the ones you qualify for, and there are fewer than on many other panels. How many you get depends on your country.

The rewards in relation to the time spent are decent compared to other survey sites, and it is quite easy to get started.

Referral program100 points per friend

Share the invitation link from your member dashboard. If a friend in the same country joins, does at least one survey and fills out the profile, you get 100 points (about $1).

You get paid for a maximum of 10 referrals a month, and the rules can vary by country. It is not nearly as good as the referral program on a site like PrizeRebel, but it can give a few extra bucks.

Loyalty program, contests and pollsNo longer offered

Ipsos iSay used to have these. Since the big update to the site, they are gone, and according to the Ipsos iSay FAQ, they will not come back. Ipsos iSay says it keeps improving the site, so new features might come later.

Sign Up for Ipsos iSay

How much can you make?

The rewards for the time you spend are decent for a survey site, and you can choose from a good range of rewards. So it can make a little extra money on the side.

But compared to the top-paying survey sites, Ipsos iSay is not that impressive and offers fewer opportunities. It can be worth signing up for as an extra site, if you plan to join as many sites as possible. If you only want to join a few, it is not a good choice, in my opinion.

Survey sites are not a way to get rich. If you want a full-time income online, you should not start with survey sites.

Payout methods and minimums

MethodMinimumWhere
Gift cards: Amazon, Starbucks, iTunes, Visa and moreUsually 500 to 1,000 points ($5 to $10)All countries
PayPalUsually 500 to 1,000 points ($5 to $10)Some countries
VenmoUsually 500 to 1,000 points ($5 to $10)Some countries
Charity donationAround $2Most countries

You earn points, and 100 points are about $1. In many cases, the points turn into rewards in your local currency. The minimum depends on your country and the reward you pick. In most countries, you need at least $5.

PayPal and Venmo are my personal favorites, but only some countries have them. If you want to be paid this way, there are PayPal survey sites with better opportunities.

The app, who can join, and support

Ipsos iSay has an app for Android and iOS. It gives you access to everything on the website: surveys and rewards. I like that you can adjust how often it notifies you about new surveys, since most survey apps only let you choose all notifications or none.

The app is not available in all countries. Then you can still click the invitation link in the email and do the survey on your phone. Some surveys need a bigger screen, and you will be told when that is the case.

Ipsos iSay is available in around 100 countries. The minimum age is 16 in some countries and 18 in others. Check the Ipsos iSay site for your country.

For support, log in and click “contact” in the footer menu. Contacting Ipsos iSay on Facebook, with a comment or a private message, might be faster.

Is Ipsos iSay worth it in your country?

Ipsos iSay works in around 100 countries, but how many surveys you get varies a lot. Pick your country to see where Ipsos iSay stands on my list of the best sites there.

  1. Hello, Mikael.
I researched Ipsos iSay in the Better Business Bureau website and I found a sufficient amount of complaints that state common problems with them: After members have spent considerable time doing their surveys, have earned plenty of points to be redeemed, they are suddenly denied access without any reason and without any warning. Supposedly, those two things (that accounts can be closed at any moment & w/out warning or explanation) is in their user agreement. However, exercising their “right” to do that, is not generally considered good customer or member service by most people with scruples. These members, understandably so, become very frustrated with their sudden inability to redeem my earned points. The negative comments also involve the poor and unhelpful responses or lack there of from their customer service. As you can read above my comments, even in this your site, some people have made you aware of these problems.

My question to you is, why do you still keep recommend this company without at least warning readers of these issues?

      • well, I have not been on there in at least a year. I am going thru my sites and seeing what rewards are on there, and either trying to cash out or just delete my account. 4. This is a crappy company and is known for disabling accounts and keeping rewards without explanation. I put in a lot of time and earned good amount of points and wanted to redeem my points for a gift card .

Before I had the chance to redeem, they locked my account and didn’t allow me access to my hard-earned points or rewards. I raised my concern to the support team and they sent me an email saying that my account has been terminated. After doing tons of surveys and earning good points, they did not allow me to redeem my gift card. This is RIDICULOUS!!!!! This is a bullshit company which is known for stealing peoples hard earned rewards. Don’t waste your time on this scam company. This is one of the worst survey sites I ever came across. I would give them a big 0 in my review .

  5. I joined this survey site and once I linked my PayPal account to get paid from the surveys, some unauthorized activity was done to my PayPal. I got an email from no name sender stating that I authorized a $567 bitcoin purchase on my PayPal account. On the bottom of the email there was a number to call to cancel the order so I called it. Upon getting someone on the phone, they instructed me to download an app called any desk in order to get my ip address and give to the representative on the phone. When I explained that I’m not going to give them any personal information about my phones up address, they hung up on me. Red flag! It appeared that they were phishing for my person data on my phone to do damage to me. I will not be continuing my quest to make any money on Ipsos iSay paid survey site again. I would be very careful to link any accounts to this site. Hopefully they won’t do any damage to me from me linking my PayPal to the site. Too many scammers online!

  6. As some others have explained, this company is known for disabling accounts and keeping rewards without explanation. I only used it for a few weeks, but I put in a lot of time and earned points I intended to redeem for a gift card.

Before I had the chance the redeem, they locked my account and didn’t allow me access to my hard-earned points or rewards. No explanation other than “something funny with your account.” I even asked what I could do to prove that I am the user and not a third party, but they gave me no further information or reasoning, no way to get the money I rightfully earned. I’m incredibly frustrated.

  9. After the change of their reward system, I don’t think it is worthy doing survey with them anyway. At the moment, they only have Uber $20 gift card available for redemption. It is the only option, except for donation to charity. I guess, unless you really have nothing to do and enjoy wasting your time and effort, don’t go with them!

  11. I was encouraged to sign up to Ipsos-Isay as a bit of a fun way to earn little rewards. At first I didn’t think it was too bad, despite spending far too much time answering screening questions before being screened out, and despite it taking ages to earn a small reward to cash out.
    BUT
Now I think Ipsos is so badly run, they have too many people signed up and a poor admin system, meaning they can’t keep track of their surveys and participants. Twice I’ve been invited to take part in product tests, and twice I done everything properly, and they haven’t paid out. And when I chase them, they say they can’t find the records and expect me to have kept records of the survey codes and dates etc etc. When I tell them I haven’t, they say there’s nothing they can do and don’t pay me.
I’m left feeling pretty cheated at having wasted my time doing tests, keeping notes, filling in the questionnaires, only to be ripped off. (Plus one product I tested was so bad it ruined my hair!)
It seems to be a buyers market, and they have so many people signed up, it doesn’t worry them if they leave disgruntled people behind.

  12. Hello there

Thank you for the reviews you do here. Saves a lot of time and therefore money. Some survey sites are just a waste of precious time.

Quick question, is this viable for people in the caribbean? I imagine the frequency might be very low. If so, Any other suggestions?

Ipsos i-say is also available for many countries in the Caribbean. I can unfortunately not say how many surveys you will get there. But if you decide to join, feel free to let me know how it goes and how the opportunities are there.. For that area, I would also recommend you to check out ClixSense.

  13. Thanks for the useful information. Can you tell me how long it takes to do an average survey? How much money could I hope to make every week if I am based in a good location? I’ve signed up with sites before but was only eligible to participate in some surveys. Are there strict demographics, i.e. age, profession, gender etc? Thanks again

    Reply
    • Hi Anita,

An average survey is about 10-15 minutes. But you can also have some that are only 5 minutes and some that are longer. But if it is longer, the reward will also be higher. It os really difficult to say how much you can make in a week, if you live in a country where there are good opportunities as it depends on a lot of things. But if you join several sites and dedicate some time every day, it can be possible to make between $50-200 in a week.

On more or less all survey sites there will be surveys you do not qualify for. That also goes for Ipsos i-say. In my experience, I do however qualify more often on i-say than I do on average on other sites.

Hope this helps, and if you have more question, just ask again.

      All the best,
      Mikael

    • Thanks for sharing your experiences Felisha. At more or less all survey sites you will regularly not qualify for surveys unfortunately. But after a while it is possible to figure out which surveys you qualify for the most and just go for those. But in general, getting rejected for some surveys is a part of doing paid surveys, but on some sites it happens more often than on others. In my experience, at i-Say I qualify quite often compared to some other sites.

      All the best,
      Mikael
