GrapeData Review: Legit or a Scam? (Full Truth Revealed)

GrapeData Rating

GrapeData is a decent survey site as it pays well per survey and it offers a convenient payment method. However, in some countries and industries, you just won’t find a lot of opportunities.

I tested GrapeData and got paid through PayPal. It pays well per survey, but several readers report rejected tasks. Below is my payment proof, how it works, what readers report, and which sites I would pick first.

Personally Tested Payout Verified Last tested

Legit and pays well per survey, but few surveys

Industry surveys and interview tasks that pay around $20 to $40 each. Few of them, and several readers report rejected work.

The short answer

GrapeData is legit. It paid me through PayPal, and my video shows the payment proof. It pays you for industry-specific surveys, and it pays quite well per survey.

But there are relatively few surveys, depending on your industry and country, so you cannot rely on it as a stable source of extra cash. Some tasks ask you to interview other people. Several readers report that GrapeData declined tasks they had done properly, so they were not paid for them.

What I like

  • High rewards for most surveys
  • Mobile app for Android and iOS
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • The site does not explain clearly how the payment system works
  • I had a poor experience with its support
  • Several readers report completed tasks that were declined and not paid

Is GrapeData legit and safe?

Yes, GrapeData is legit. It paid me. But being legit does not make it a good use of your time. Here is what you should know before you join.

  • Completed tasks can be declined

GrapeData reviews your answers before it pays. Several readers, from 2021 to 2025, report that it declined tasks they had done properly, without a clear reason, and that the appeal did not help. Some were paid for a few tasks and not for the rest.

  • Some tasks ask you to interview other people

When a task does not fit your profile, you can interview friends or contacts who do fit it. Do not make up answers. Some surveys also need several completions before you earn the reward. Check the Points column in your Task History.

  • A mobile number is required

You cannot register without a mobile number. GrapeData texts you an activation code and uses your number to tell you about new tasks.

  • The payment system is not explained

The site and app do not tell you right away how you get paid. There is no threshold, and it pays via PayPal at the end of the month. I wish it were more transparent about this.

  • Poor support

I contacted support once and was shocked by the tone. Out of the hundreds of sites I have tested, I have rarely come across communication this poor. Maybe I was unlucky.

My takeGrapeData is a legit survey site that pays well for the surveys you get. But in some countries and industries, you just will not find a lot of opportunities, and several readers report rejected tasks. You cannot rely on it as a stable source of extra cash. I recommend the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead.

How you earn on GrapeData

There is one way to earn: personalized tasks in a survey format.

Personalized tasksAround $20 to $40 each
GrapeData tasks with their fixed rewards

When you log in to the site or the app, you see all the tasks you can do. They are targeted to you based on your industry or country, either to ask your opinion as a consumer or to share your insight as a professional. Each task shows a fixed reward on your dashboard.

Some tasks do not fit your profile. Then you can interview friends or other contacts who fit the target profile, ask them the questions, and enter their answers. Do not make up answers.

GrapeData reviews all your answers. If everything checks out, it credits the reward to your account.

Tasks you complete several timesReward after the last one

Some surveys need several completions before you earn the reward. The Points section in your Task History shows how many times you need to complete it. Keep answering until you reach the required points.

Profiling surveyMore invites

How much can you make?

It depends on how many surveys you can complete. GrapeData pays relatively well: usually around $20 to $40 per survey, which is quite high, in my opinion.

But you cannot control how many surveys are available to you. That depends on your industry and your location, and some industries and countries get more surveys than others.

Overall, the surveys are relatively few. You may earn a decent amount for the surveys you sometimes get, but you cannot rely on it as a stable source of extra cash.

How you get paid

MethodMinimumWhen
PayPalNo thresholdAt the end of the month, for whatever you earned that month

Every task you complete is credited to your GrapeData balance. Add your PayPal address first, so you receive your earnings.

GrapeData does not take out taxes. It pays the full amount, and you are responsible for your own taxes, depending on your country.

Who can join, and the app

GrapeData supports 87 countries, so there is a high chance you can register. You must be at least 18. You sign up on the website or in the app, and you must give your mobile number. GrapeData texts you an activation code to finish the registration.

If you are not comfortable sharing your mobile number, GrapeData is not for you. There is no way around it.

The app is on Android and iOS. It is user-friendly, and you can answer surveys anytime and anywhere.

  1. Initially I thought too good to be true, theres not many tasks , but eventually there’s a task for immunology assays, anyhow I submitted a total of 17 and out of that I was paid and accepted for 4, mind you the four accepted were no different from any other , other than different people different companies, different answers, but ALL WERE QUALIFIED AS FAR AS PROFESSIONAL, COMPANIES, ALL USES FLUROSPOT OR ELISPOT , the ones accepted were no different but they declined them my theory is , they accept some out of say 10 it’s says you can make up to 1000 , up to ten submissions, but reality no matter what only going to get paid for 4 JUST SAY THAT SAY YOU CAN ONKY DO FOUR , what happens to the declined responses my theory is they submit that shyt and get paid but who knows

    • It just does not have options in all countries and as I explain in the review above it can be hard to qualify for the tasks. That you cannot qualify for any tasks in your country does not mean it is a scam so please be careful with how you use the word scam. It just means it is not a good option for you and your country. As you can see in the video in the review above, I have been paid by it so I know it pays.

Which country do you live in? Then I can suggest some options that will work for you.

      Reply
    • No, they do not take out taxes. You are responsible for your taxes yourself and exactly how that works depends on your country. They will pay you the full amount and then it is up to you to do your taxes correctly.
