Global Survey Group Review – Is It Legit? (An Inside Look)

Global Survey Group Rating

Global Survey Group has a fairly low payout threshold, but that is all it got going for it. There are simply better survey sites out there you can spend your time on.

I joined Global Survey Group and tried its surveys to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and has a low payout threshold, but it pays only in gift cards and the site is full of ads. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Personally Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit, but gift cards only and full of ads

A $10 gift card threshold, but few ways to earn and a lot of ads. US only.

Good for you ifYou live in the US, only want gift cards, and do not mind ads and promotional offers.
Skip it ifYou want cash through PayPal, you live outside the US, or you want a site you can earn from regularly.

The short answer

Global Survey Group is legit. It does reward you for answering surveys, and you can redeem a gift card from $10.

But it pays only in gift cards and charity donations, not cash, the surveys are the same ones you find on many other sites, and the site is full of ads and promotional offers. Despite its name, it is only available in the US. There are simply better survey sites you can spend your time on.

What I like
  • Relatively low payout threshold: $10
  • A decent number of gift cards to choose from
  • A contact form for support inside the member dashboard
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities: surveys only, no referral program
  • No cash rewards: no PayPal and no check
  • The site is not very user-friendly
  • A lot of promotional offers during registration
  • A lot of distracting ads inside the members’ area
  • US only

My experience with Global Survey Group

I signed up for Global Survey Group, tried the surveys and the “More Surveys” section, and looked at the rewards and support. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Global Survey Group legit and safe?

Yes, Global Survey Group is legit. It does reward you for answering surveys. But it is not like most other survey sites, and it has some big disadvantages. Here is what you should know.

  • A lot of ads and promotional offers

After the sign-up form, you see a lot of promotional offers, mostly asking you to join specific survey sites. The members’ area is full of ads. That almost seems to be the real purpose of the site.

  • Gift cards only, despite what the site says

Global Survey Group mentions options like PayPal and check on its website. That is misleading. The reward options are only gift cards and charity donations.

  • The “More Surveys” section wastes your time

You answer many profile questions, and an ad pops up after every question. At the end, I only got a screen with a few promotional offers or ads.

  • You cannot change your login details

Global Survey Group emails you a password after you sign up. Keep that email, because you cannot edit your login details once you are on the site.

  • Only in the US, and only from your registered country

Despite its name, Global Survey Group is only available in the US. If you are in a different country than you entered at sign-up, you do not get access to the survey offers.

My takeOverall, I wouldn’t recommend you join Global Survey Group. It’s not a site worthy of your time, in my opinion. The only thing going for it is that it has a relatively low payout threshold. You are better off joining other survey sites that have better earning potential.

Global Survey Group pays only in gift cards. These sites in your country pay better and let you earn regularly.

How you earn on Global Survey Group

There is 1 way to earn: paid surveys. The “More Surveys” section is part of it. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysShown per offer
Paid survey offers in the Global Survey Group member dashboard

When you log in, you see the survey offers from sites partnered with Global Survey Group. Every offer shows how much you earn when you complete it.

When you click an offer, a new window opens. You first answer qualifying questions. If you qualify, you answer the actual survey and get the reward shown. If you don’t, you move on to the next offer.

The surveys are a standard solution: the same surveys are offered on many other sites, so you do not find exclusive surveys here.

“More Surveys”Not worth it

You first answer several profile questions to see if you qualify for more surveys. Every time you answer a question, an ad pops up, and you have to scroll to get to the next question.

At the end, all I got was a screen with a few promotional offers or ads. So this section is a waste of time, in my experience.

How much can you make?

Global Survey Group says in its FAQ that you can earn somewhere between $10 and $250 per month, and that this is not something that makes you rich.

In my experience, you have to be very lucky to reach the top of that range. You only earn from surveys, there is no referral program, and you will not qualify for every survey. You’d be lucky to qualify for 50% of the survey offers on a day. The many ads also cost you extra time.

So you can’t expect to earn a lot from this site. It has low earning potential.

Rewards and minimum

RewardMinimumNote
Gift cards$10A decent number of gift cards in the rewards catalog
Charity donations—Donate your balance instead of redeeming it

Every survey you complete adds its reward to your Global Survey Group balance. There is no option to redeem cash through PayPal or a check. If you want cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

How much you can earn depends on your country2 comments

A reader in the US says he can earn that much in points with his surveys. A reader in Kenya asked about a much larger payout from a survey site he did not receive. Realistic earnings differ a lot by country.

“i am from the usa and i can make that much in points with a lot of my surveys but it is different if your from other county”

Reader in the US, December 2023
Mikael: Yes, it is possible to earn that kind of money per month with surveys in the US and a few other countries. But in some countries this is not realistic at all.

  1. Hello. Kindly confirm I’m a Kenyan Citizen, since last month I began taking Globsl Paid Survey for penguin and completed by 8th of July thus the threshold was USD500 that was to be paid from 10th of each month, then withdrawals made and cashed out between 11th -13 of each month to our payday accounts, only to find that to date being on 15th June we’re yet to recieve my/our payments and no connections nor replies made, kindly put us into consideration, it’s never good having dedicated our time, energy, bundles used then you kind of freeze with one’s sweat?

    • Do not know which survey site you have been using. But if you have been able to earn $500 in less than a month by taking paid surveys from Kenya, then I am sorry to say it but then it sounds like a scam site as that is not realistic earnings by taking surveys in your country.
