I joined Future Talkers and took the surveys it invited me to, to see if it is worth your time. It is legit with a low threshold, but there are few opportunities and you only get gift cards, no cash. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but few opportunities and gift cards only
Rewards from 500 points, roughly £4.56. Only in the UK, Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

The short answer
Future Talkers is a legit survey site that rewards you for answering surveys and doing other research activities. It is simple to use, and the payout threshold is relatively low.
But there are few earning opportunities, so the earning potential is relatively low. In my experience, there will quite often be no activities for you. And there are no cash rewards: you can only redeem gift cards. It is not the best site if you want a primary way to earn extra cash.
- A simple way to earn rewards
- Relatively low payout threshold
- Every invitation shows the reward
- Activities other than surveys pay better
- Mobile-friendly website
- Limited earning opportunities
- Limited reward options, and no cash rewards
- The website lacks relevant information
- Only available in five countries
- No mobile app

Is Future Talkers legit and safe?
Yes, Future Talkers is a legit survey site that rewards you for answering surveys and more. But it has some limits you need to know before you join.
- There are few opportunities
You cannot control how often you get invited. If there are no activities for you, you do not earn anything, and in my experience there will quite often be none.
- No cash rewards
Future Talkers used to offer PayPal, but it has stopped. You can only redeem gift cards, and which ones depends on your country.
- Little information on the website
The website does not say much about what it offers. Read each email invite carefully: it has everything you need for the activity.
- Only five countries
Future Talkers only has communities in the UK, Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
My takeIf you are looking for a primary way to earn extra cash, Future Talkers is not the best site to do it from. It offers limited earning opportunities and reward options. There are simply better survey sites that let you earn on a more regular basis. I would only recommend this site if you need another survey site to join.
Future Talkers has few opportunities and no cash rewards. The top sites in your country give you more ways to earn.

There is one way to earn: research activities. Online surveys are by far the most common.
Research activitiesAround 50 to 100 points per survey
Future Talkers uses your profile survey to pick activities for you, and sends you an invite by email when there is one. The email shows the reward and everything you need, so read it carefully before you start.
The activities can be online surveys, real-time discussion groups, online research communities, individual blogging and real-time online interviews. Online surveys were the only activity I was ever invited to.
For a survey, you first answer qualifying questions. If you qualify, you answer the survey and get the promised reward. If not, you move on to the next activity. Surveys of 5 to 10 minutes usually pay around 50 to 100 points. The other activities take more time and pay more, so take them when you are invited.
How much can you make?
What you earn mostly depends on how often you get invited, and you cannot control that. The best thing you can do is fill out the profile survey as honestly as you can.
Short surveys do not pay a lot. Activities other than online surveys pay better, so grab them right away when you get an invite.
Overall, the earning potential is relatively low, because the opportunities are limited. In my experience, there will quite often not be any activities for you.
Payout method and minimum
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gift cards | 500 points (roughly £4.56) | The gift cards depend on your country. The value of 500 points can vary by country. |
When you have 500 points, click “Redeem” and fill in a few details, which is a legal requirement to receive your reward. You then get the reward by email, and you choose from several rewards for your country. When I tested it, I chose between a bunch of gift cards.
There are no cash rewards. Future Talkers used to offer PayPal, but it has stopped. If you want to earn cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
Who can join Future Talkers?
Future Talkers only has communities for people in the UK, Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. It has moved to a new platform: its website links to the community for each country.
To join, you answer a profile survey. You do not get a reward for it, but it is a necessary step. Then check your email regularly for invites.
There are many great survey sites in the UK and survey sites in Germany. If you live in one of these two countries, Future Talkers will not be the best use of your time.
