5 Reasons Cash4Offers is NOT Worth it (Cash4Offers Review)

Cash4Offers Rating

You can earn a bit of extra cash on Cash4Offers, but it is honestly not a site for all. It has more cons than pros and that is why I do not really find the site worth joining.

I tested Cash4Offers to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and you can earn a bit, but the rewards are low, the offers are poor and you need $35 before you can cash out. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick first.

Personally Tested Last tested

Legit, but not worth joining for most people

Low rewards, misleading paid offers and a $35 PayPal threshold. A good joining bonus does not make up for it.

Good for you ifYou live in the US or Canada and do not mind waiting a long time for your first payout.
Skip it ifYou want fair rewards, a low threshold, or a site that works well on your phone.

The short answer

Cash4Offers is legit. I have seen no indication that it is not, and you can earn some extra money there. It has been around since 2003.

But it pays lower rewards than other sites, its paid offers are mostly ads for other websites, and you need $35 before you can cash out. The site is outdated and hard to use on a phone, and you cannot stop its “paid” emails without cancelling your account. It has many more cons than pros, so I do not find it worth joining.

What I like
  • Good refer-a-friend reward of $3
  • High joining bonus of $5
  • A decent number of surveys, mostly in the US and Canada
  • Cash payouts through PayPal
What I don’t like
  • Low rewards
  • Poor paid offers
  • Not mobile-friendly
  • Very high payout threshold of $35
  • Annoying “paid” emails you cannot unsubscribe from

My experience with Cash4Offers

I joined Cash4Offers, looked at its surveys and offers, and tried one of its paid offers myself. This is what I did, and what I did not test.

Is Cash4Offers legit and safe?

Yes, Cash4Offers is legit: you can earn some extra money there. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know before you join.

  • Paid offers are mostly ads

All the cash offers I saw were links to sites that give you a free e-book. They show $8, but a small star means “up to $8”, and you cannot see what you will actually get. When I tried one, I had to sign up for another free trial before I got the e-book. I gave up there.

  • A $35 threshold and a slow first payout

You need $35 before you can cash out to PayPal. Your first payout is processed 25 days after the end of the month you request it. After that, you become a gold member and payouts are processed in 72 hours.

  • “Paid” emails you cannot stop

You are signed up automatically. The emails take you to an ad for a survey site, not an email, and pay $0.01. You cannot unsubscribe without cancelling your whole account, and you get quite a lot of them.

  • Outdated and not mobile-friendly

The site looks like it has not been updated since it was created. On a phone, the text is not adapted and it is very hard to read and navigate.

  • One reader reported unpaid polls

In October 2019, one reader wrote that polls had not been paid for 2 months and that support never responded.

My takeI have been a bit tough on Cash4Offers, but I have seen no indication that it is not legit. You can earn some extra money there, and for some people it might be a nice site. I am just explaining why it is not a site I will use in the future. There are many survey sites with better opportunities, higher rewards and more user-friendliness.

Cash4Offers pays less and needs $35 before a payout. The top sites in your country pay more, with lower thresholds.

How you earn on Cash4Offers

There are 6 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveysMain earner

There is a decent number of surveys, and this is the main way to make money on Cash4Offers. The site promises daily opportunities to people in the US. In other countries, it is more random.

The surveys come from third-party providers, so you are usually sent to another platform. That is normal. But Cash4Offers does not pay as much as many other sites for the same surveys. On the Your Surveys portal, I got around $0.50 per survey on Cash4Offers, while other sites usually pay $0.70-0.95.

Cash offersUp to $8

All the offers I saw linked to the same kind of website, which gives you a free e-book or something similar. Many are about how to quickly make a lot of money at home. Be careful with any site that promises you the secret to becoming rich with no effort.

The offers show $8, but a small star means “up to $8”, and nowhere can you see how much you will get. When I tried one, I had to sign up for another free trial before I got the e-book. I gave up there. I find it a very misleading way to get people to sign up for other websites.

Referral program$3 per friend

You get $3 for each friend who joins and completes at least one survey or offer. That is a pretty decent reward compared to some other sites.

Points for Amazon gift cardsPoints, not cash

In the “earn points” section, you earn points instead of cash, by taking surveys or completing paid offers. Most come from a partner called Peanut Lab. The points can only be used for Amazon gift cards.

Many survey sites work with Peanut Lab, and I prefer sites with better overall opportunities for the same offers. See the best sites for Amazon gift cards.

CouponsSavings, US only

A partner site gives you coupons for products like toilet paper, toothpaste and cereals. As far as I could find out, this is only for US residents, and you need to give your phone number.

Click “open in new window” to see the full screen and how to print your coupons.

“Paid” emails$0.01 each

You are signed up automatically. The email says “A paid email is waiting for you”, but the link takes you to an ad for a survey site, and you have to open the survey to get paid.

I would call it getting paid to click an ad, not a paid email. You cannot stop these emails unless you cancel your whole account.

How much can you make?

There are some opportunities on Cash4Offers, but I am honestly not impressed. The rewards are not very high compared to similar sites, and there are a lot of poor offers, especially the cash offers. It takes patience to make money here.

The $5 joining bonus looks appealing, but it is still a long way to the $35 threshold. Swagbucks also has a $5 joining bonus, with a much lower threshold and many more opportunities.

Payout methods, minimum and speed

MethodMinimumSpeed
PayPal$35First payout 25 days after the end of the month you request it. After that, 72 hours (gold member).
Amazon gift cardsDepends on your pointsOnly for points from the “earn points” section

Most surveys and offers pay in cash, which shows in your account right away. I like that PayPal is an option, but the threshold is very high: the most common threshold on other sites is $5-10, and some pay out from $1. Gold membership only makes your payouts faster; nothing else changes.

  4. I just entered this review and read up this article mainly for checking out a kind of offers that Cash4offers offer. “Paid Email”.
Oh yeah a little disappointed after I found out that wouldn’t be so worth paying attention to after reading your article. Thanks for that, I could’ve wasted my time on that area of further researching on Cash4offers and their paid email section!
