BuzzBreak Rating

BuzzBreak used to let you earn by reading articles, watching videos, and more, but their earning opportunities are not available anymore. The app is still around and you can still read articles, but you won't earn from them.

BuzzBreak no longer lets you earn

BuzzBreak used to pay you for reading articles, watching videos and more, but its earning opportunities are not available anymore. The app is still around and you can still read articles, but you will not earn from them. You cannot earn on BuzzBreak now. I keep my review below as a record. The apps and sites I would pick instead are further down.

BuzzBreak paid you points for reading the news and watching videos in its app. It no longer lets you earn. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which apps and sites I would pick instead.

BuzzBreak no longer lets you earn

BuzzBreak no longer offers any way to earn, so it is not an option for making money. When it did pay, it was legit, but the rewards were very low and capped at 50 claims a day.

The short answer

BuzzBreak no longer lets you earn. The app is still around, and you can still read articles, but its earning opportunities are gone. You cannot make money on it now.

When it still paid, BuzzBreak was a legit Get-Paid-To app that paid through PayPal. But the rewards were very low: you could only claim rewards 50 times a day, which came to about $0.15. I saw it more as entertainment than as a way to earn.

What I like
  • Was a very easy way to earn rewards
  • Paid through PayPal
  • Had a low payout threshold
What I don’t like
  • BuzzBreak no longer lets you earn
  • Very low rewards
  • Limited the number of times you could claim rewards per day
  • No FAQ and no support in the app
  • You could not turn the notifications off

My experience with BuzzBreak

I installed BuzzBreak, signed up and used every way to earn: articles, videos, the free gifts, the daily check-in and Spin and Win. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was BuzzBreak legit and safe?

BuzzBreak no longer lets you earn, so it is not an option for making money now. When it still paid, it was legit, because it paid you for using the app. These were the catches.

  • You can no longer earn

Its earning opportunities are not available anymore. You can still read articles in the app, but you will not earn from them.

  • Very low rewards

You could only claim rewards 50 times a day. If you only read articles, the best-paying option, that came to 15,000 points, or about $0.15, depending on your country.

  • Hardly any support

There was no FAQ and no way to contact support in the app. The website lists a contact email at the bottom. A few readers report that they could not withdraw and had no one to ask about it.

  • Heavy data use and notifications

The app used a lot of mobile data, and you could not turn the notifications off, so you got news and reminders many times a day.

  • Facebook or Google needed

You could only sign up with a Facebook or Google account. Without one of these, you could not use the app.

My takeBuzzBreak no longer lets you earn, so it is not an option. Even when it paid, it was more entertainment than a way to make money, and your time was better spent on apps and sites that pay better. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on BuzzBreak

There were five ways to earn. All of them are gone now. Tap one to read how it worked.

Reading articlesPoints per article
Reading articles on BuzzBreak

When you opened an article, you saw a snippet of it and a gift icon on the right side of the screen. The icon loaded, and you scrolled down the page to keep it loading. When it was full, you scrolled all the way down to claim your points.

If you clicked through to the full article on the original website, the gift icon was gone and you did not earn. You did not even have to read the article. The number of points varied by article and by country, and articles paid more than the other options.

Watching videosPoints per video
Watching videos on BuzzBreak

This worked the same way as the articles. You picked a video and kept an eye on the gift icon. When it finished loading, you got your points and could move on to the next one after a few seconds.

Some of the videos were actually funny and interesting, so it was a way to pass the time.

Periodic giftsEvery 30 seconds or every hour
BuzzBreak periodic gifts

Every 30 seconds, you could claim points by tapping the gift icon, without doing anything else. With the limit of 50 claims a day, that was about 25 minutes for 150 points. This gift did not seem to be available in all countries, and BuzzBreak did not say where it was.

A second gift came every hour and was worth more. You tapped it when the timer was done and watched a video ad to get the points.

Daily check-in and Spin and WinUp to $10 in Spin and Win
Spin and Win on BuzzBreak

You got a gift the first time you logged in each day. You could also play Spin and Win daily for a chance to win up to $10.

When I updated my review, you had to spend points to spin. Inviting other people gave you more spins.

Referral programA bonus in your currency

You could invite other people with your invite code. They had to enter the code after installing the app, and when they signed up, you got a referral bonus in the currency of your country.

How much could you make?

Very little. BuzzBreak did not say it in the app, but you could only claim rewards 50 times a day. Reading articles paid the most, and 50 articles gave you 15,000 points. That was only about $0.15, depending on your country.

It took months to earn a decent amount. You could earn a bit, but I saw BuzzBreak more as entertainment than as a way to earn. If you know ClipClaps, the two were similar: entertaining, but it took a lot of patience to earn.

How BuzzBreak paid

You earned points, and you converted them to cash. 1,000 points were worth $0.01, but this seemed to vary by country.

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$0.02The minimum was $5 when I first tested BuzzBreak, and it was lowered later. In countries where PayPal is not available, BuzzBreak showed other options.

For more sites that pay through PayPal, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

Who could join, and on which devices?

BuzzBreak was available more or less worldwide, from 18. You could only sign up with a Facebook or Google account, so you needed one of these to use the app.

It was a phone-only app for Android and iOS, with no desktop version. The app used a lot of mobile data, so I advised using it only on WiFi. On a limited data plan, your earnings might not even cover the data you used.
