I tested Apperwall, a site that pays you to review mobile apps, and made a video that shows how it works. It is legit, but there are few apps to review, and some offers ask you to post a review that is written for you. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but not worth your time: few apps to review
Each app review pays around $0.5 to $1, paid through PayPal from $9. But offers are rare, and some ask you to copy a pre-written review.

The short answer
Apperwall is a legit Get-Paid-To (GPT) site that pays you for writing reviews of mobile apps. It pays through PayPal, and the $9 payout threshold is relatively low.
But it does not offer a lot of ways to earn. If there are no apps to review, you have nothing to do, and you will be lucky to get two offers in a week. Some offers also ask you to copy a pre-written review instead of writing an honest one, which is a deal-breaker for me. There are many better options.
- Offers payment via PayPal
- Relatively low payout threshold
- Limited earning opportunities
- Limited payment options
- The site lacks relevant information, especially its FAQ page
- You are not always allowed to post honest reviews
- Their support is a bit slow
- Not clear which countries they accept members from

Is Apperwall legit and safe?
Yes, Apperwall is legit: it pays you for writing reviews of mobile apps. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know before you join.
- Some offers ask for a pre-written review
From time to time, an offer asks you not to write a unique review, but to copy and paste what the offer wants you to write. These reviews are clearly meant to manipulate the star ratings. I hate fake reviews, so I would stay away from these offers. Always read the instructions before you start an offer.
- Few apps to review
Apperwall’s homepage shows a scenario where you earn $30 in one month, which means one app review every day. In my experience, this will rarely be the case. Based on feedback from long-time members, you will be lucky to receive two offers in a week.
- Unclear where it works
You can sign up from anywhere, but Apperwall is not supported in some countries, which means you will not get any offers there. The site does not say which countries are worth joining from.
- Slow support
The chat says the typical response time is 2 hours. This is not always true: it took several days before I got a reply. The FAQ page has only four questions.
- PayPal is the only payout method
You need a PayPal account to cash out, so you also need to be at least 18. Gift cards are announced for the future, but are not available.
My takeThe main problem with Apperwall is that it does not offer plenty of ways for you to earn. If there are no apps to review, you are stuck with nothing to do. I also do not like that, for some reviews, you are not allowed to share your honest opinion. So it is not worth joining if you want to earn quickly and regularly. There are simply far better choices out there.
Apperwall has few apps to review. The top survey and GPT sites in your country offer more ways to earn and more payout options.

There are 2 ways to earn. App reviews are the only way to earn on your own. Tap one to read more.
Mobile app reviewsAround $0.5 to $1
Log in to see if there are apps you can review. When an offer is available, download the app from Google Play or the iOS App Store, use it for a few minutes, and leave a review in the store. Then send Apperwall proof that you posted it, usually a screenshot.
Read the instructions for each offer before you start. Some offers ask you to copy and paste a pre-written review. I would stay away from those.
Offers are not always available, so you have to check the dashboard regularly. Or set up the Telegram bot: you see the link to install it as soon as you log in. It notifies you when new app review offers become available, so you only need to log in when there is work.
Referral program50%, 30% and 20%
The referral program has 3 tiers. People you invite are your level 1 referrals, the people they invite are level 2, and the people those invite are level 3.
You get a 50% commission of what your level 1 referrals withdraw, 30% for level 2 and 20% for level 3. But they must sign up through your link, complete review offers and actually withdraw their earnings, so they have to reach the payout threshold first.
It is a pretty good deal on paper. But your referrals need to be active for you to earn, and with so few offers, I would not recommend Apperwall to others.

How much can you make?
Each app review usually pays around $0.5 to $1, which is fairly decent. But you are at the mercy of whether there are offers or not. Apperwall’s homepage shows a scenario where you earn $30 in one month, one review a day. In my experience, this will rarely be the case, and you will be lucky to receive two offers in a week. So it takes patience to reach the threshold.
Apperwall has income boosts: when you meet certain requirements, your earnings per review go up by a certain percentage. Most of the requirements are very achievable. But the boosts are a bit useless unless you have apps to review.
Overall, the earning potential is low. There simply are not enough earning opportunities to earn a decent amount in a short period of time.
How you get paid
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $9 | The only payout option. Add your PayPal address once you are logged in. |
| Gift cards | Not available | Apperwall says gift cards will be available in the future |
Every app review you complete earns a set amount, which goes to your Apperwall balance. Once you reach $9, you can withdraw it via PayPal.
