Answeree no longer lets you earn
Answeree no longer offers a way to earn. It has become a forum where people ask questions about a certain locale, and it started with questions for New Jersey. You cannot earn on it now. I keep my review below as a record of how it worked when it paid. The sites I would pick instead are further down.
Answeree paid you a small amount for answering questions from its members. It no longer lets you earn: it is now a Q&A forum about New Jersey. I looked at it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.
Answeree no longer lets you earn
Answeree is now a Q&A forum about New Jersey, so you can no longer earn on it. When it paid, it was legit, but an accepted answer was worth only $0.01.

When it paid, Answeree was legit: it paid you for accepted answers to questions from its members. But the rewards were painfully low. An accepted answer was worth $0.01, so you had to answer hundreds of questions to earn a few dollars.

Was Answeree legit and safe?
Answeree no longer lets you earn. When it paid, it was legit, because it really paid you for accepted answers. These were the catches.
- It no longer pays
Answeree is now a forum where people ask questions about a certain locale, starting with New Jersey. You cannot earn on it anymore.
- Painfully low rewards
An accepted answer earned 10 points, which was $0.01. Considering the time and effort an answer took, that was very low.
- Strict rules and penalties
Answers had to be original and free of grammar and punctuation errors, with no spam, affiliate or irrelevant links, and not repeat an earlier answer. A violation cost you 10% to 90% of the points.
- Payouts by private message
To get paid through PayPal, you had to message the Answeree private profile. After your first payout, the PayPal minimum went up from $2 to $5.
My takeAnsweree no longer lets you earn, so it is not an option. Even when it paid, it was not really worth joining, because you had to answer hundreds of questions to earn a few dollars. See the alternatives below.
How you earned on Answeree
There was one way to earn: answering questions from other members. Tap it to read more.
Answering questions10 points ($0.01) per accepted answer
After you logged in, the best place to start was the “Unanswered” option in the menu. You chose a question, typed your answer and posted it.
Your answer had to be your own. You could use sources from the internet, but you had to rewrite them, not copy them from a site like Wikipedia or Quora. You could not repeat an answer that was already posted, and you could not add spam, affiliate or irrelevant links.
Your answer became the accepted answer when the member who asked the question thanked you by upvoting it. Upvotes from other members also helped. An accepted answer earned 10 points, and any other answer earned 5 points. Violations cost you 10% to 90% of the points, so it was a good idea to read the guidelines first.

How much could you make?
Not a lot. An accepted answer was worth $0.01, so you had to answer hundreds of questions to earn a decent amount. Even with a low payout threshold, it took a long time before you could withdraw.
Answering questions was also the only way to earn. There was no referral program to boost your earnings. If the pay had been better, Answeree would have had decent earning potential, but as it was, it was very low.
How Answeree paid
You earned points for your answers and exchanged them for cash. 10 points were worth $0.01.
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $2 the first time, then $5 | You requested it by messaging the Answeree private profile |
| Skrill | $10 | Always $10 |
The payment system was relatively straightforward, and I liked that it offered PayPal. For sites that pay through PayPal and still let you earn, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
