I checked out Angelfish Opinions to see if its paid research projects are worth your time. It is legit and the rewards per project are high, but it is UK only, pays in gift cards, and you will not qualify often. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend next to it.
Legit with high rewards per project, but hard to qualify and gift cards only
A UK research panel for interviews, focus groups and in-home visits. Projects usually pay £20 to £100 in gift cards, but you will not get in often.

The short answer
Angelfish Opinions is legit. It is a market research company that connects everyday people with paid research projects, and you can really earn rewards from them. The rewards per project are high.
But qualifying for a project is not easy, most projects take at least 45 minutes to an hour and many need you to go to a certain location, and you are paid in gift cards, not cash. It is only available in the UK. So it works as a decent secondary site, not as something you can regularly earn from.
- An interesting way to earn: interviews, focus groups and in-home visits
- High rewards per project
- No threshold: you get the gift card after each project
- Support by email and phone, plus an FAQ
- Limited earning opportunities
- Hard to qualify: researchers look for a specific demographic
- Requires a certain level of commitment to earn
- Gift cards only, no cash
- UK only
- No member dashboard and no app

Is Angelfish Opinions legit and safe?
Yes, Angelfish Opinions is legit, because you can really earn rewards from the projects it offers. But that doesn’t automatically mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know before you join.
- Qualifying is not easy
Researchers look for a specific demographic. For every project, you first answer a qualifying survey and then wait for approval. You can consider yourself lucky if you get accepted twice a month, based on my experience.
- Projects take time and commitment
Most projects took at least 45 minutes to an hour. Some are online, but most involve going to a certain location, except for in-home visits.
- Opportunities come and go
Sometimes there are a good number of projects running, and sometimes there are none at all.
- Gift cards only
Every project rewards you with a gift card, sent to your email. The list of gift cards changes from time to time. You cannot earn cash.
- UK only, and no app
Angelfish Opinions is only available in the UK. There is no member dashboard and no app, so you either visit a location or sit in front of a computer to take part.
My takeIn my opinion, Angelfish Opinions is a decent site to earn from, provided you adjust your expectations in terms of earning potential. It’s not something you can regularly earn from, but it does offer decent rewards. So, it can serve as a decent secondary site to earn from, if you are okay with earning gift cards.
Angelfish Opinions projects are hard to get into. These sites in your country let you earn on a regular basis, and most pay in cash.

There are 3 ways to earn. Research projects are the only real earner. Tap one to read more.
Research projectsMain earner
Once you are a member of the panel, you receive invites to research projects. You can also look at the current projects posted on the website and apply for them yourself.
Either way, you first answer a qualifying survey and then wait for approval. It usually doesn’t take more than a couple of days to hear back. If you get accepted, you receive further instructions on how to proceed.
When I tested the panel, there were projects for 1-on-1 interviews, focus groups and in-home visits. Most took at least 45 minutes to an hour. Some are done online, but most involve going to a certain location.
To increase your chances, follow Angelfish Opinions on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on new projects.
Referral program£10 eGift card
You are only rewarded when you refer people to take part in a research project, not for inviting them to join the site. Your referral must also complete the project.
The reward is a £10 eGift card. That is quite generous, but the chances of earning it are quite low, in my opinion.
Monthly prize drawLuck only
Every month, Angelfish Opinions runs a prize draw for people who complete the qualifying surveys but are not selected for a project. The prize is a £10 eGift card. The site does not say how many winners it selects.
Do not count on this. If you ever win, consider it a bonus for being an active member.
How much can you make?
Based on what I observed while testing it, a project pays around £20 to £100, which is quite a significant amount. Projects where you visit a certain location usually offered higher rewards than the ones you can do online.
But qualifying for these projects is not easy. You can consider yourself lucky if you get accepted twice a month, based on my experience. If it weren’t for this, I would consider the earning potential quite good.
As it is, the earning potential isn’t that high. You’ll have to be patient, because qualifying for a project takes a bit of time.
How you get paid
| Reward | Minimum | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Digital gift card, sent by email. The reward is shown in the project invite or on the project details page. | None. Paid after each project. | Some projects pay immediately, others in around two to three weeks |
The list of gift cards changes from time to time, so don’t expect to see the same reward every time. Check your inbox regularly after you complete a project.
I like that you don’t have to reach a threshold to receive your earnings. The only downside is that you can’t earn cash. If you prefer cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
How to join Angelfish Opinions
Angelfish Opinions is only available in the UK, and you must be at least 16 years old.
Fill out the registration form to become a member. Then you fill out your profile, so the site can decide which invites to send you. After that, you see all the current projects and can start applying for them.
There is no member dashboard you log in to and no app. You either visit a location or sit in front of a computer to take part in a project.

Mikael: I am testing all these sites myself and if there are some I do not have access to, I get the info by combining my knowledge after testing hundreds of sites, test while traveling as I travel often, and then I also sometimes am allowed to test certain sites because I have my website and YouTube channel.
