Analysia Review – Legit or Scam? (What to Expect)

Analysia Rating

Analysia used to be a legit usability testing site that paid you for testing websites and mobile apps. However, it is now only a blog and you cannot earn as a member there anymore.

Analysia has closed

Analysia no longer offers paid tests. The website stopped offering them a while ago, and the domain now seems to have been taken over by someone who made it into a blog. You cannot join or earn as a tester there now. I keep my review below as a record. For other ways to get paid for testing, see the best user testing sites.

Analysia was a usability testing site that paid you for testing websites and mobile apps. It has now closed, and its domain is only a blog. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.

The short answer

Analysia has closed. It no longer offers paid tests, and the domain is now just a blog. You can no longer earn as a tester there.

When it was running, it was a legit usability testing site. It paid $10 per test through PayPal, with no payout threshold. But tests were not available often, usually 1 to 2 times a month, so you could not earn much from it.

What I like
  • No payout threshold
  • Paid through PayPal, automatically after each test
  • A fixed $10 per test
What I don’t like
  • Analysia has closed
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • The website did not explain well how you could earn
  • The website was not mobile-friendly

My experience with Analysia

I signed up for Analysia as a tester and did usability tests with a screen recorder and a microphone. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was Analysia legit and safe?

Analysia has closed, so you can no longer earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because it paid you for the usability tests you completed. These were the catches.

  • It has closed

Analysia stopped offering paid tests a while ago, and the domain seems to have been taken over by someone who made it into a blog.

  • Not many tests

You usually got invited to 1 to 2 tests a month, and Analysia did not guarantee a regular number. Some months you got more, some months none.

  • Your test had to meet their standards

Analysia reviewed every video before paying. The audio had to be very clear, so you needed a quiet room, and you had to follow the instructions down to the last letter.

  • You were recorded on video

Everything you did on screen was recorded, and you had to say your thoughts out loud. If you are not comfortable with that, this kind of site is not for you.

  • Little information for testers

The website was aimed at clients and did not explain well how testers earned. The FAQ for testers was not much help.

My takeAnalysia has closed, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, it was a decent usability testing site if a fixed reward per test was fine for you. But tests were not available often, so you could not earn a lot. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on Analysia

There were 2 ways to earn. Usability tests were the main one. Tap one to read more.

Usability tests$10 per test

Analysia emailed you every time there was a test you could take, and you could also check the tester dashboard for available tests.

Each test had a set of instructions. You first downloaded a program that recorded your screen, and you spoke your thoughts out loud into a microphone while you did the test. For mobile app tests, you used a screen recorder app on your phone instead.

When you finished, you submitted the video. Analysia reviewed it, and if it met their standards, you were paid. In my experience, the audio had to be very clear, so do the tests in a quiet room, and follow the instructions to the letter.

Referral program$2 per test, or 15%
Analysia referral program

For every tester you invited, you earned $2 for each test they did. If you invited a business or company, you earned 15% of whatever they paid to have their site or app tested, which was a pretty significant amount.

That made it a more unique referral program, because usually you can only refer members, not clients. But you could not invite people right away: you first had to request your invite code.

How much could you make?

You earned $10 for each test you completed, a fairly good rate for around 15 to 20 minutes of work. After a few tests, you got used to the flow and finished a lot quicker.

But it all came down to how often you got tests, and judging from the feedback of long-time members, that was usually 1 to 2 times a month. So the earning potential was not very high. Only if you invited businesses as clients could the payout be quite significant.

How Analysia paid

You did not need to reach a threshold. You were paid every time you completed a test, and you did not have to request it.

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPalNone$10 per approved test, processed automatically

That made the payment method fairly convenient, and a bit faster than some other online rewards sites. For more sites that pay quickly, see the fastest paying sites.

  1. Correct me if I’m wrong; in the beginning of this article, you said this site doesn’t pay anymore, that it’s now just a blog. But reading on, you do say it pays. Which is it? Seeing that 1 commentor stating it doesn’t appear to exist anymore, then obviously it doesn’t pay LOL
