AmeriSpeak is legit. It is an invite-only survey panel, and I would even say it is one of the most reputable survey sites in the US. It pays a decent amount per survey, and when you are invited to a survey, you already qualify for it.
But you can only join if AmeriSpeak randomly selects your US address and sends you an invitation. You have no way of influencing that. You get about 2 to 4 surveys a month, and there are no cash rewards, only gift cards, Mastercard rewards cards and similar rewards. If you ever get an invitation, grab it.

Is AmeriSpeak legit and worth it?
Yes, AmeriSpeak is legit, because you can really earn from its surveys. But that does not automatically make it the right opportunity for you. Here is what you should know.
- You need an invitation
Your address must be randomly selected among all US addresses to receive an invite. You have no way of influencing the site to choose your address. That is why it is very hard to join this panel.
- Keep your invitation letter safe
You need the PIN in your invitation letter to sign up, and you might need it again later. Without this PIN, you cannot register.
- Few surveys
You can expect about 2 to 4 surveys a month. Because AmeriSpeak picks its participants scientifically, you qualify for every survey you are invited to, but the opportunities to earn are limited.
- No cash rewards
You redeem AmeriPoints for gift cards, Mastercard rewards cards, movie tickets or charity donations. There is no cash option.
- The first survey pays the most
Your first survey is worth at least $20. The surveys after that pay less, but still a decent amount.
My takeAmeriSpeak is a great survey site, in my opinion. The only problem is that it is a very exclusive panel. You have to be very lucky to receive an invitation to join. If you ever receive one, I suggest you grab the opportunity right away, because you can earn good rewards from it. In the meantime, there are many good survey sites you can join without waiting for an invitation.

Most surveys take around 5 to 15 minutes and pay around 5,000 points ($5). Longer surveys pay more.
What makes AmeriSpeak different is that you represent your community to business leaders and policymakers. AmeriSpeak uses a scientific process to select addresses, so you cannot be replaced. When you are invited to a survey, you already qualify for it. You do not go through a qualifying step like on most other survey sites.

How much can you make?
It depends on how many surveys you get. With around 2 to 4 surveys a month, the opportunity to earn is quite limited.
But AmeriSpeak pays a decent amount per survey: typically around 5,000 points ($5) for a 5 to 15-minute survey, which is a pretty good rate, in my opinion. So its earning potential is quite good, even though it offers limited opportunities to earn.

Every survey pays AmeriPoints. 1,000 AmeriPoints are worth $1, and you need at least 10,000 AmeriPoints ($10) to redeem a reward, which is a relatively low threshold.
