XON Universe has closed
The team behind XON Universe has announced that it has closed the project, because it had a hard time making it profitable. You cannot join or earn on it now.
The team says it might launch a new project with a different plan, and that you would keep the XON tokens you mined if it does. I am not counting on it. I keep my review below as a record. The free mining apps I would pick instead are further down.
XON Universe let you mine free crypto tokens with one click a day. It has now closed. I used it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick instead.

My experience with XON Universe
I used XON Universe myself: I signed up, mined every day and looked at the referral program and the support options. It only took about 10 seconds a day, which is why I kept using it. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was XON Universe legit and safe?
XON Universe has closed, so you can no longer join or mine on it. When it was running, it was legit, because you really mined tokens with a click. These were the catches.

The team closed the project because it had a hard time making it profitable. It says it might launch a new project, and that you would keep your XON tokens if it does, but that might never happen.
- The tokens had no monetary value
XON tokens were not publicly traded, so you were not really earning yet. XON Universe said it had a partnership with Aura DEX to list the token once it reached 3,000,000 users.
- Impossible to predict
With projects like this, there is a lot of insecurity. Some survive, but many do not. Only use them if they take very little of your time, and with the right expectations.
- An ad in a new tab every time
Each click on Mine opened an ad in a new browser tab. Closing those tabs is quite annoying on a phone.

How you earned on XON Universe
There were 2 ways to earn XON tokens. Mining was the main one. Tap one to read more.
Mining100 tokens a day
You logged in once a day and clicked the Mine button once (it used to be four times). A new browser tab opened with an ad. When the ad had loaded, you closed it and saw the tokens you had mined in the dashboard. After 24 hours, you did the same again.
When I started, I could mine 4,000 XON tokens a day. After an update, it dropped to 100 a day. Mining several days in a row gave you a streak bonus.
Referral program20,000 tokens per active referral
You shared your referral link or code. When someone signed up with it and mined for their first 30 days in a row (it used to be 10), you got 20,000 XON tokens. This was only for the first 100,000 members.
New members could also get an extra 20,000 XON tokens once: they had to invite a friend within 24 hours of signing up, and that friend had to mine for their first 30 days.

How much could you make?
Technically, nothing, because XON tokens had no monetary value. You could only collect tokens, and their worth would only become clear if the token was ever publicly traded.
XON Universe said it had plans to give you other benefits based on the tokens you had earned, even before the token launched, but it never announced what they would be.

It did not pay out. Your XON tokens were stored in the built-in crypto wallet of the site.

Who could join, and on which devices?
The website did not say which countries it worked in, but as far as I could tell, it was available more or less worldwide, or at least in countries where crypto is legal. You signed up with your email address and a code that XON Universe sent you.
There was no app, but the member dashboard worked on a phone, so you did not need a computer.
There was no Help or FAQ section. The site showed its whitepaper with its plans, and you could reach other members and the team through its Discord channel, linked at the bottom of the homepage.
