Word Breeze is a word game that pays you Bling points, which you can turn into Bitcoin or PayPal cash. I tested it to see if it is a real way to earn. It is legit and fun, but the rewards are tiny. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit and fun, but not a way to earn
A word game with a video ad every five levels. Tens of thousands of Bling points were worth only a few cents when I cashed out.

The short answer
Word Breeze is legit, because you can earn from it. It is a fun word game: you connect letters to find hidden words and earn Bling points, which you convert to Bitcoin through Coinbase or to cash through PayPal.
But the rewards are very low. When I cashed out tens of thousands of Bling points, they were worth only a few cents. You would need millions of points to earn a decent amount. The developers say it is meant for fun, not to earn extra cash.
- The game is fun and interesting
- Offers payment via PayPal
- Available more or less worldwide
- Decent support by email
- Very low rewards
- The pop-up ads can be annoying
- No exact conversion rate for Bling points
My experience with Word Breeze
I installed Word Breeze, played the game, earned Bling points and cashed them out. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Word Breeze legit and safe?
Yes, Word Breeze is legit, because you can earn from it. But that does not make it a good way to earn. Here is what you should know before you install it.
- Very low rewards
When I cashed out tens of thousands of Bling points, they were worth only a few cents. You would need millions of points to earn a decent amount. Word Breeze is clear about this: the developers made it for entertainment, not to earn extra cash.
- No exact conversion rate
Word Breeze does not say what a Bling point is worth, so you do not know how much you have earned until you cash out.
- A video ad every five levels
After five levels, you have to watch a video ad before you can play on. That is how the app pays you, but it is the most annoying part of the game.
- Link your account to keep your progress
Link your Google, Apple or Facebook account in the settings before you start. Otherwise, you lose your progress if you uninstall the app.
My takeIf your goal is to earn free crypto or cash, Word Breeze is not the ideal app to use. It takes a very long time to earn a decent amount from it, because the rewards are so low. But if you are just looking for an app to pass the time with, you can give it a shot. It is quite fun to play, in my opinion.
Word Breeze pays very little for your time. The top sites in your country pay a lot more.

There is only one way to earn: playing the game.
Playing the gameBling points every 5 levels
You find all the hidden words by connecting the right letters, a bit like a mini-Scrabble game. When you have found all the words, you move on to the next level.
After every five levels, you get a certain number of Bling points, and you have to watch a video ad before you can continue playing.
The game is quite fun, in my opinion. But the amount you earn is very low, and Word Breeze is clear about that.
How much can you make?
Very little. When I cashed out tens of thousands of Bling points, they were worth only a few cents. You would need millions of points to earn a decent amount.
The developers designed the app to provide entertainment and a safe way to get a little free crypto or cash, not as a way to earn. The real value is a fun way to spend your extra time. If you want to earn by playing, see the best ways to earn money by playing games online.
Payout methods
| Method | Notes |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin through Coinbase | Your Bling points are converted to Bitcoin |
| PayPal | Your Bling points are converted to cash |
There is no exact conversion rate, so you do not know how much your Bling points are worth until you cash out.
The payment system is relatively simple, and I like that it offers PayPal. If you want more sites that pay this way, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
Devices, joining and support
Word Breeze works on Android and iOS. You can also install it on a Windows computer through the Google Play Games Beta program. The app is user-friendly, but you have to be patient with the video ads.
The app does not say which countries it is available in, but from what I can see, it is available in most countries. Search for it in your app store: if it shows up, it is available in your country. Install it and you can start playing. Link your Google, Apple or Facebook account under Settings → Account, so you keep your progress.
The FAQ in the app covers most of the important topics. If you cannot find your answer, email [email protected]. That is decent support, in my opinion.
What readers told me
This review has 2 comments since July 2024: 1 from a reader and 1 reply from me.
A reader plays it as a mind exercise. If that is your goal, a version of the game without rewards spares you the ads.
“For old people it is a mind exercise. We are not after the money here.”
Mikael: In that case there are still way better apps. Then you should just go for apps that offer the game but without rewards so you do not have to watch all the ads but can just focus on the game.
