Vidcash was an Android app in India that gave you coins for watching short video ads. It has now shut down. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.

The short answer

Vidcash has shut down. You can no longer join or earn there.

When it was running, it did reward you with coins for watching videos. But many members said the app did not let them convert their coins to cash, and I could not find any good features, only clear red flags. I recommended staying away from it. It was also only for Android, and only in India.

What I like
  • Earning coins was easy
What I don’t like
  • Vidcash has shut down
  • Many complaints that it did not let you withdraw your earnings
  • Limited ways to earn
  • Only for Android, and only in India
  • Support was all but useless

My experience with Vidcash

I tested the Vidcash app and compared it with the hundreds of other free ways to earn I have tested. I watched the videos, played the spin the wheel game and looked at the payout and support options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was Vidcash legit and safe?

Vidcash has shut down, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it gave you coins, but there were clear red flags.

  • It has shut down

The Vidcash app has shut down and is no longer a way to earn.

  • Many members could not withdraw

There was an alarming number of reviews on its Google Play page saying the app did not let members convert their coins to cash. With so many members saying the same thing, I saw it as a huge red flag.

  • It took too much time

Even if you could get paid, it took too much effort and time to reach the threshold compared with many other earning apps.

  • Support was all but useless

The app had no website, its app page explained little, and the developer did not even respond to the comments on its app page.

My takeVidcash has shut down, so it is no longer an option. Even when it was running, it was a great example of an app you should avoid. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on Vidcash

There were three ways to earn coins. Tap each one to read more.

Watching videosCoins per video
Watching videos on Vidcash

This was the main way to earn. You went to the watch videos section and played any video available.

The videos were short video ads of usually 15 to 30 seconds. At the end, a message told you how many coins you had earned. You could keep watching until there were no videos left.

Spin the wheel10 spins a day
Spin the wheel game on Vidcash

Every day, you got 10 chances to spin the wheel. Usually the prize was a number of coins, and from time to time the wheel showed a jackpot prize of $5 or $10.

During my testing, I never won a cash prize. All I ever won was coins.

Referral program5,000 coins

You shared your invite code, and the people you invited entered it when they registered.

You got the 5,000 coins once your referral became an active member by watching a couple of videos. That may sound like a lot, but it was not, as the payout section below shows.

How Vidcash paid

You converted your coins to money by withdrawing them to your Paytm account.

MethodMinimumNotes
Paytm60,000 coins (₹60)Around $0.8. Many members said the app did not let them withdraw.

The threshold sounds high in coins, but it was only around $0.8, so on paper the payout threshold was low. The problem was that many members could not convert their coins to cash at all.

Who could join Vidcash?

Vidcash was only available in India, although it did not say so. If you searched for it on Google Play outside India, it did not show up. It was also only for Android.
