Unique Rewards says it is a way to earn easy money. I joined and looked at every way to earn. Below is what it really offers, what is missing, and which sites I would pick first.
Legit ways to earn, but outdated and not worth it
US, UK and Canada only. Cash out from $20 through PayPal or check. Many options on the site do not work, and it is not optimized for mobile.

The short answer
Unique Rewards offers legit ways to earn and legit payout methods. It has been around since 2003, and you can cash out through PayPal or check once you reach $20.
But the website is outdated and not very user-friendly, and a lot of the options it advertises are missing. Cashback had no offers, there are no contests, and I could not find the radio option. Its promotional video can also give you false expectations. It is not a site I recommend. There are many better GPT sites in the US, UK and Canada.
- Free to join, with a $5 joining bonus
- The free Gold membership gives you a higher commission
- Reliable payout methods: PayPal or check
- Fairly high payout threshold: $20
- A lot of options missing on the site
- Not very user-friendly
- Not optimized for mobile
- Promotional videos can give you false expectations
My experience with Unique Rewards
I joined Unique Rewards and went through every earning option in the member area. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.
- First tested
- April 2019Review first published Apr 18, 2019
- Latest retest
- Checked: website still online, ways to earn, payouts
- Joining bonus offer
- SwagbucksI had to pick a partner offer to get the $5
- Missing options
- Cashback, contests, radioAdvertised, but not available to me
- Signing up and the joining bonus offers
- The surveys and the offerwalls
- The paid ads, videos and cashback sections
- The contests page and the radio option
- The website on a mobile phone
- A payout. My review does not show a payment from Unique Rewards.
- The support. What I say about support comes from its Facebook page.

Is Unique Rewards legit and safe?
Unique Rewards offers legit ways to earn and legit payout methods. But there are some things that are not clear before you join. Here is what you should know.
- Many options are missing
The cashback section had no offers when I tested it, there have been no contests for years (the latest winner I could see was from the middle of 2014), and I could not find the radio button anywhere.
- Some offers cost money
Some offers require you to use a credit card or even deposit a certain amount before they pay you. Read the conditions before you take an offer.
- Payments can be delayed
Unique Rewards might delay payments if it suspects that the advertiser may reverse the offers or surveys you completed. One reader reports that their first $20 payout never arrived.
- The promo video sets the wrong expectations
Its video says that even if you are fat and lazy, you can survive by using Unique Rewards. This is not the case. You can make some extra cash on the side, not a full-time income.
- Hard to use, especially on mobile
The design looks like it has not been updated since the site launched. It is not easy to navigate on a big screen, and on mobile it becomes even harder.
My takeIf Unique Rewards was one of the only GPT sites where you could get paid to take surveys and do small tasks, it could be worth joining. But there are so many better sites with better incentives. They are more user-friendly, give better opportunities and an overall better experience. So even though Unique Rewards offers legit ways to earn, it is not a site I recommend.
How you earn on Unique Rewards
Unique Rewards lists 9 ways to earn. Six of them worked when I tested it. Tap one to read more.
SurveysAverage rewards
They call them Unique Rewards surveys, but they come from third-party providers that are also on many other platforms. There are quite a few providers, so you get access to a decent number of surveys.
You will most likely not qualify for most of them. And the rewards are quite low compared to what you get for the same surveys on many other survey sites.
Joining bonus$5
You get $5 for signing up, more or less instantly. First, you are shown a few offers from Unique Rewards’ partners, and you have to choose one of them. The offers I got were for legit sites. I, for example, got an offer from Swagbucks.
I personally dislike it when the first thing you see after joining a site is promotional offers. You do not even get to see what is on the platform.
OffersCan boost earnings
The site has several offerwalls. An offer takes you to the advertiser’s website, and taking a certain action gives you extra credits and rebates.
Some offers give good rewards. But some require you to use a credit card, or even deposit a certain amount, before they pay you. Read the conditions before you take any.
Paid ads$0.01 per click
You get paid just to click to go to an advertiser’s site. You do not have to do anything else. Each ad earns you $0.01, and you have to wait at least thirty seconds before you can click the next one.
Videos$0.01 per 12 minutes
You can watch videos about more or less any topic. You get $0.01 per 12 minutes of video, so you would need to watch 20 hours of video to earn just $1. It is definitely not the best way to earn on Unique Rewards.
Referral program$1, $5 and 10%
You earn $1 when a referral completes their first task, and $5 when they make their first cashout ($20). You also get 10% of a referral’s lifetime earnings.
The real rewards come only when people cash out, and most people you invite will probably never become active and reach a payout.
Cashback, contests and radioNot available
These are advertised, but they did not work for me. The cashback section showed only a message and no offers. The contest tab said there were no contests at the moment, and the latest winner was from the middle of 2014.
The FAQ says you can earn by listening to the radio and filling in a captcha every 30 minutes: $0.01 in Canada or the UK and $0.03 in the US. I could not find the radio button anywhere. For cashback, see the best cashback sites.

How much can you make?
Unique Rewards has a promotional video where a man called Fat Bob seems to make really good money just by sitting at home. This can give you the impression that you can make a full-time income from Unique Rewards. That is not the case.
You can make some extra cash on the side, but it is not the best GPT site I have seen, and it is quite confusing. The small tasks, like paid ads and videos, pay $0.01 each, so most of your earnings come from surveys and offers.
Payout methods and minimum
| Method | Minimum | When |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $20 | Every Monday evening |
| Check | $20 | Every Monday evening |
$20 is a bit of a high threshold, in my opinion, but still OK. Once you have earned $20 and cashed out, you are upgraded to a free Gold membership with a higher commission on offers, surveys and cashback. The site does not say how much higher.
Unique Rewards might delay payments if it suspects that completed offers or surveys may be reversed by the advertiser. For sites with a convenient payout, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

Please stay away from this conpany. I spent a lot of time doing surveys and finanlly accumulated $20 for the first payout, but I never received money. I emailed customer service many times but they just fool me by making fake promise…and after 2months of waiting I finally realized that they are a scamer and would like to warn people not to use them.
Thanks for sharing your experiences about this so others can see.
it is ok but it takes so long to get to the 50 dollar mark.
