TapChamps App Review: Worth It? (Real Inside Look)

TapChamps Rating

TapChamps is not a bad app. However, it also doesn’t offer anything special to warrant your time. It will take quite a long time to earn a decent amount from it.

TapChamps has closed

The TapChamps app is no longer on Google Play. You cannot join or earn on it now. I keep my review below as a record. The apps I would pick instead are further down.

TapChamps was an Android app that paid you diamonds for reaching milestones in mobile games. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick instead.

The short answer

TapChamps has closed. The app is no longer on Google Play, so you can no longer join or earn there.

When it was running, it was legit, because you could really earn rewards from it. But the time-to-money ratio was pretty low, you saw a lot of video ads while playing, and it only worked on Android.

What I like
  • Paid through PayPal from $5
  • The featured games were fun
  • Gift cards and a prepaid Visa card were also options
What I don’t like
  • TapChamps has closed
  • Low rewards
  • A lot of video ads while playing
  • Only worked on Android
  • Only available in a few countries

My experience with TapChamps

I installed TapChamps, played its featured games and looked at the referral program, the rewards and support. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was TapChamps legit and safe?

TapChamps has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because you could really earn rewards from it. These were the catches.

  • It has closed

The TapChamps app is no longer on Google Play.

  • Milestones got harder

You were only rewarded when you reached a milestone, and the longer you played a game, the harder the next milestone got. Sometimes the milestones were not shown, so you did not know when you would earn.

  • A lot of video ads

Video ads usually popped up after you cleared a level, which was quite annoying.

  • Android only, in a few countries

There was no iOS app, and it was only available in a few countries like the US and the UK.

My takeTapChamps has closed, so it is no longer an option. Even when it was running, it was not a bad app, but it did not offer anything special to warrant your time. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on TapChamps

There were 2 ways to earn diamonds. Playing the featured games was the main one. Tap one to read more.

Playing featured gamesDiamonds per milestone
TapChamps featured games

You picked one of the featured games in the app, installed it and played. Other apps often pay you per minute you play, but TapChamps only rewarded you with diamonds when you reached a milestone in the game.

You had to open the game through the TapChamps app, not from your phone’s menu, so it could track your progress. After a while, you had to play a long time for the next milestone, so it was best to switch to a different game.

If you played a game for at least 5 minutes on 5 consecutive days, you received bonus rewards, but they did not change your earnings much.

Referral program500 diamonds

You shared your invite link. When someone installed the app and signed up through it, you received 500 diamonds.

It was a decent way to earn extra diamonds, but it was not an app I would promote to my friends.

How much could you make?

Not a lot. Like most apps that pay you to play games, TapChamps did not pay that well. You had to spend a lot of time to earn a decent amount.

The longer you kept playing one game, the harder it got to earn from it, so switching between games was the best way to earn as much as you could.

How TapChamps paid

You redeemed your diamonds for rewards. The options depended on your country, but some were available in all countries.

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$5Mostly 1,700 to 2,000 diamonds, depending on your country
Prepaid Visa cardDepended on the rewardCash
Gift cardsDepended on the rewardFor stores like Amazon and Google Play

The payment system was relatively easy to grasp. For apps and sites that pay through PayPal today, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
