Solitaire Cash App Review – Worth It? (A Detailed Look)

Solitaire Cash Rating

If you are just looking for a mobile game you can play, then Solitaire Cash is a decent option (as long as you love playing Solitaire, of course). But if you are looking for an app to earn extra cash, it isn’t a good one.

I tested Solitaire Cash to see if you can really win money by playing Solitaire. You can only win small prizes in tournaments, with no guarantee. Below is what I found, what readers report, and which apps I would pick first.

Personally Tested Last tested

A fun Solitaire game, but not a good way to earn

You only earn by winning tournaments or money games, and the prizes are small. Money games cost your own money.

Good for you ifYou just want a Solitaire game to play for fun, and you never spend your own money on it.
Skip it ifYou want to earn money, or you do not want to risk your own money.

The short answer

Solitaire Cash is not a good app to earn extra cash. You only earn if you win a freeroll tournament or a money game, and the prizes are small. There is no guaranteed way to earn.

To play for free, you have to collect gems, mostly by watching video ads. Money games cost your own money, and you will most likely lose it. Two readers also report winnings they could not withdraw. If you love Solitaire, it is a fun game. If you are in it for the money, there are better options.

What I like
  • A free route through freeroll tournaments
  • Withdrawals through PayPal from $5
  • Easy to use
What I don’t like
  • No guaranteed way to earn
  • Small prizes, and money games cost your own money
  • Some readers report withdrawals that failed and support that does not reply
  • Pop-up video ads
  • The app uses more battery than you are used to
  • iOS only

My experience with Solitaire Cash

I installed Solitaire Cash and focused on the free way to win money. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Solitaire Cash legit and safe?

You can win money from Solitaire Cash, but there is no guarantee, and some readers report problems with withdrawals. Here is what you should know before you install it.

  • Some readers report winnings they could not withdraw

Two readers told me they could not get their money out. One got an internal error when he tried to claim his first cash win, and support never replied. None of the readers who commented wrote that they were paid.

  • Opponents may be bots

While testing, I noticed you do not know if the players you are up against are real people or bots designed by the app. A reader who was beaten again and again by players finishing in seconds suspects bots too.

  • Money games cost your own money

You can bet your own money through PayPal or Apple Pay in money games. There is no guarantee you will win, so I highly recommend you avoid it.

  • The free route runs on video ads

To join a freeroll tournament for free, you have to collect gems, mostly by watching pop-up video ads. It takes time, and you may not win anything.

My takeIf you are just looking for a mobile game to play, Solitaire Cash is a decent option, as long as you love Solitaire. But it is not a good app to earn extra cash. It does not offer any guaranteed ways to earn, and you have to spend a lot of time for a chance at a small amount. I agree with readers that it is a waste of time if you are in it for the money.

Solitaire Cash only pays tournament winners. These apps pay you to play games without risking your own money.

How you earn on Solitaire Cash

There are 2 ways to earn, and only winning gives you money you can withdraw. Tap one to read more.

Freeroll tournamentsUp to $7 for first place
Freeroll tournaments of Solitaire Cash

To join a freeroll tournament, you either pay with gems or with real money. I focused on the free method. You earn gems by watching video ads, playing a mini-game, or claiming the daily login bonus. You usually need around 120 gems to join.

Whoever finishes the game the quickest wins. When the tournament ends, the fastest player wins the top prize of up to $7. Second and third place win smaller amounts. If you do not win, you have to collect gems again.

It is simple, but time-consuming, and there is no guarantee you will win any money.

Referral program and money games$1 per referral
Solitaire Cash money games

Share your referral code. When someone installs the app and enters your code during registration, you get $1.

You cannot withdraw this money. You can only spend it on money games, where you bet a certain amount. You can also bet your own money through PayPal or Apple Pay, but I highly recommend you avoid that, because there is no guarantee you will win. If you do win a money game, you can withdraw the prize.

How much can you make?

There is no guaranteed way to earn. What you earn depends on how good you are at Solitaire and how lucky you are, because you only earn when you win tournaments or money games.

The amounts you can win are not that much, so the earning potential is very low. Avoid spending money on it, because you will most likely just lose money, unless you are very good at the game.

Payout method and minimum

PayPal$5The only payout method. You need a verified PayPal account.

Prizes from freeroll tournaments and money games go to your account balance. Referral money cannot be withdrawn. Readers report winnings they could not withdraw, so do not count on a payout. For sites with reliable PayPal payouts, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

Two readers could not get their money out, and one support request got no reply. A third reader asked if the problem was ever fixed.

Opponents that may be bots1 comment

A reader often won freeroll tournaments, but rarely real cash games, and was beaten by players who finished in seconds.

“Waste of time. No support what so ever. First time i won cash, couldn’t register to get it. Always internal error or contact support, which never replies back.”

Reader, August 2023
Mikael: Thanks for sharing your experiences. I agree it is a waste of time, as I also explain in the review above.

“When I play the real cash games I do not cash 90% of the time. Also when I am beaten consistently by players completing the board in 20 – 30 seconds I’m not sure this is even possible so I’m guessing they’re bots.”

Mikael: Thanks for sharing your experiences and opinion.

“They couldn’t even give me 13.00 back instead they pulled a few things about PayPal???? … This app is a ripoff. Don’t fall for it.”

  1. Been playing for sometime, I only tried it because of the reviews. Big mistake I have spent so much on that site. They couldn’t even give me 13.00 back instead they pulled a few things about PayPal???? Never entered using PayPal and not going to pay for that service . The game keeps your balance even if you do win and want a reward. Husband kept telling me I was wasting my money. 20$ every other day almost. This app is a ripoff. Don’t fall for it.

  2. I feel like its a bit of a scam. If you look through my playing history all the free tournaments I play I cash 90% of the time but just win gems. When I play the real cash games I do not cash 90% of the time. Also when I am beaten consistently by players completing the board in 20 – 30 seconds I’m not sure this is even possible so I’m guessing they’re bots. It’s easier to win money gambling!!
