Repeat.gg has closed

Repeat.gg announced that it was closing and gave members up to 6 months to withdraw their remaining earnings. On June 15, 2026, coin balances of 70,000 coins or more were set to be converted to cash automatically, and smaller balances were not. You cannot join or earn on it now. I keep my review below as a record. The sites I would pick instead are further down.

Repeat.gg let you win cash and coins in free tournaments of popular e-sports games. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.

When it was running, it was legit: you could really win cash and coins in free tournaments. But it was never a guaranteed way to earn. You had to rank among the top players, and with players from around the world, the competition was cutthroat.

Was Repeat.gg legit and safe?

Repeat.gg has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because you could really win cash and coins in its tournaments. These were the catches.

  • It has closed

Repeat.gg announced it was closing and gave members up to 6 months to withdraw their remaining earnings. Coin balances below 70,000 coins were not converted to cash.

  • Never a guaranteed way to earn

You only got a prize if you ranked among the top players when a tournament ended. If you were not very good at the game, you would not win anything.

  • It took a lot of time

Tournaments usually ran for several days, and you competed with players from around the globe, so the competition was intense.

  • Accounts could be suspended

One reader reports that their account was suspended twice and that they were accused of score manipulation after climbing the ranks quickly.

My takeRepeat.gg has closed, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, I only recommended it if you were confident in your skills at one of its games. If you want a simpler way to earn, see the alternatives below.

How you earned on Repeat.gg

There were two ways to earn. Tap one to read more.

TournamentsCoins or cash prizes
Choosing a gaming platform on Repeat.gg

You first chose your gaming platform: PlayStation, desktop, Xbox, mobile or Switch. Then you picked a game and connected your game account to Repeat.gg, so it could track your progress.

The tournaments were free to join. Most rewarded you with coins, and some with cash. Each tournament had its own rules, usually ran for several days, and paid prizes to the top-ranked players at the end.

You could play in tournaments of different games, as long as they ran at different times. But you had to be good at the game to have a chance at a prize.

Referral program1,000 coins
Repeat.gg referral program

You shared your referral link, and the people who signed up through it became your referrals.

When a referral took part in at least one tournament, you got 1,000 coins and they got 500 coins. Not very generous, but the requirement was simple.

How much could you make?

It depended mostly on your skills as a gamer, because the only way to win was to rank among the top players. That is easier said than done.

The total cash prize per tournament usually ranged from $200 to $400, divided among the top players. The winner usually got around $50 to $80. Repeat.gg could pay this because it was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment, and brands and sponsors helped cover prizes through branded tournaments.

If you were a casual player, you would find it hard to win anything, because the competition was cutthroat.

How Repeat.gg paid

Tournament prizes were either cash or coins. Referral rewards were coins.

MethodMinimumNotes
Tipalti (cash)$10Up to $500 per withdrawal
Gift cards (coins)110,000 coins for a $10 Amazon gift cardAmazon, Google Play, Apple, Steam, Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation and more. Rates differed per gift card.

The payment system was straightforward, but I would have liked a direct bank transfer. For sites that offer one, see the top sites that pay via direct bank transfer.

You need to be good at the game1 comment

A reader with over two years on Repeat.gg agrees that you need to be good at a game to earn a lot, and that winning got easier as they improved.

Suspended accounts1 comment

One reader reports that their account was suspended twice and that the admins accused them of score manipulation.

“Sadly, it is true that you need to be good at a certain game to easily earn a lot. Take Fortnite for example, as a user on Repeat.gg, back when I used to suck at the game, it’s quite difficult to even get a win.”

  1. Im currently getting suspended twice because I’m too good at the game… Somebody seems to report me because they thought I was cheating by beating their rank at last minute…

The admin also accuse me of score manipulating… Maybe because I quickly reach higher rank within less than hour… ?
Do you think the admin is wise to do that??

Also, how one can be considered manipulating scores if :

    > The opponent is the one who purposely afk

    > The opponent literally gave you free goals (it happen to my last 2 match which makes me get unusual score)

    > The opponent is play dirty by demo-role (meaning the opponent keep ramming you for every opportunity, makes you distracted, unbalanced your car and cant concentrate because you bumped too often)

    > The opponent skill is equal to Champion/grand champion while playing at gold and platinum rank

    > The opponent teammate just gave up, makes the game easier for my team and win with higher scores

.> My teammate gave up and the opponent whole team is strong (so instead winning, I using that opportunity to build scores because it’s impossible to win, especially if Opponent keeps demoing me)

    > Your teammate suddenly sides with opponent and being an A$$h0le from start (last time it’s 1-13 at final goal score)

    > The opponent teammate suddenly joins you because your teammate is gave up and immediately disconnected (which makes game sometimes easier, sometimes happens in 3v3)

    > You played too well against same skilled opponent that you end up 8-0 to 10-0 and score almost perfect at repeat tournament

  2. Sadly, it is true that you need to be good at a certain game to easily earn a lot. Take Fortnite for example, as a user on Repeat.gg, back when I used to suck at the game, it’s quite difficult to even get a win. For your info, a win with 20 kills can guarantee you Top 10 (in daily tournaments from what I’ve observed) – but you need to consistently do that 3 times.

But hey, at least I’m quite decent at the game by the time I’m writing this. If you do only daily tournaments and join about 6 of them, you could earn $1 – $5 depending on how well you perform on games.

Just leaving my own 2+ years experience here!
