The short answer
Razer Cortex Games is a legit app from Razer, the company known for its gaming products. You earn Razer Silver by playing featured games and completing offerwall tasks.
But the earning opportunities are limited and the rewards are low, and it does not offer cash: you redeem gift cards, in-game currency or Razer Gold. It is a decent way to pass the time with new games, not a way to earn extra cash.
- Offers a fun way to earn rewards
- The app is user-friendly
- No pop-up ads in the app itself
- Decent support from a big company
- Limited earning opportunities
- Low rewards
- Doesn’t offer cash rewards
- Android only, and only in certain countries
- The featured games have a lot of pop-up ads
My experience with Razer Cortex Games
I installed Razer Cortex Games, played featured games, looked at the offerwall and checked the rewards. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Razer Cortex Games legit and safe?
Yes, Razer Cortex Games is legit: it really rewards you for playing games. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- No cash rewards
You cannot cash out. The closest you get to cash is Razer Gold, Razer’s virtual credit for games, in-game items and digital content.
- Few games, one reward each
There are not many Play to Earn games, and when I tested it, I earned Razer Silver only once per game. When you have played them all, you wait for the timer to refresh the list.
- The app tracks your data usage
To earn from a game, you allow the app to track your data usage, and you open the game from Razer Cortex Games, not from your phone’s menu.
- Pop-up ads in the games
The app itself has no pop-up ads, but the games I had to play had a lot of them.
My takeIn my opinion, Razer Cortex Games is not for everyone. If your goal is just to pass the time and play games, this can be a good option since the app will introduce a lot of fun mobile games you can play. But if your goal is to earn extra cash or rewards, then this is not the best option to go for because of the limited earning opportunities and low rewards it offers.
Razer Cortex Games pays no cash and few rewards. These apps and sites pay you in cash.

There are 2 ways to earn. Tap one to read more.
Play to Earn gamesRazer Silver, once per game
Pick a game in the Play to Earn section and allow the app to track your data usage. Install the game, and always open it from the Razer Cortex Games menu, so the app can track your progress.
Usually, you play for at least three minutes to earn the reward. It is credited when you go back to the dashboard. When I tested it, I earned Razer Silver only once per game, and there were not many games.
The featured games expire. When the timer runs out, a new batch of games is listed.
Offerwall tasksRazer Silver, depends on the task
The offerwall works like the ones on Get-Paid-To (GPT) sites and apps, but there is only one, so the tasks are limited. Most tasks ask you to answer surveys or sign up for websites.
In my experience, there are more tasks in tier 1 countries like the US, UK, Canada and Australia, and fewer in other countries.
How much can you make?
The earning potential is quite low, mainly because of the limited earning opportunities. It takes quite some time to earn enough Razer Silver to redeem rewards.
That is not surprising: the purpose of the app is to enhance your mobile gaming and help you discover new games. You can think of the rewards as a bonus, in my opinion.
Rewards and minimum
| Reward | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Razer Gold | $1 (4,000 Razer Silver) |
| Gift cards, like Discord Nitro and Nintendo Shop | Depends on the reward |
| In-game currencies | Depends on the reward |
There are no cash rewards. If you prefer cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
