RapidWorkers Review – Legit & Worth It? (Closed: See Best Alternatives)

RapidWorkers Rating

RapidWorkers' website is still not accessible. It has been several months since it said that it will be up and running, but there's still no change. So, it's safe to assume that the site has closed. I recommend you check out the link below instead.

RapidWorkers has closed

The RapidWorkers website is no longer accessible. It said it would be back in May 2025, and several months later there is still no word of it going back up, so it is safe to assume the site has closed. You cannot join or earn on it now. I keep my review below as a record. The sites I would pick instead are further down.

RapidWorkers paid you for small tasks posted by other members. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.

The short answer

RapidWorkers has closed. Its website is not accessible, and it did not come back when it said it would. You can no longer join or earn there.

When it was running, it was legit. It had been around since 2009, and many people earned extra cash there. But many tasks did not pay enough, the earning potential depended a lot on your country, and PayPal was the only payout option, with a 6% fee.

What I like
  • Was available globally
  • Paid through PayPal from $8
  • Always had tasks available, also tasks open worldwide
What I don’t like
  • RapidWorkers has closed
  • Earning potential depended on the country you lived in
  • A 6% fee on every withdrawal
  • No payout option for countries without PayPal
  • Not ideal for working on a phone
  • Some task posters were not transparent about the time or the conditions

My experience with RapidWorkers

I tested RapidWorkers thoroughly: I joined, went through the micro-tasks and looked at the payout and support options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was RapidWorkers legit and safe?

RapidWorkers has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because it paid you for the micro-tasks you completed. These were the catches.

  • It has closed

The website is no longer accessible. It said it would be back in May 2025, and there is still no word of it going back up.

  • PayPal only, with a 6% fee

PayPal was the only payout option, and 6% was deducted from every withdrawal. Members in countries where PayPal does not work could join and earn, but could not get their earnings out.

  • Task times were often too short

Task posters often wrote a time much shorter than the task really took, to make it look more appealing. A task that said 1 minute could take 10 minutes.

  • Some tasks were misleading or not safe

Not everyone who posted tasks was transparent. A task named “get a free iPhone” could mean signing up for a contest and being contacted by a lot of advertisers. I would stay away from tasks that ask you to create extra accounts with your personal info.

  • Rejected work could get your account banned

Taking tasks not meant for your country, using a VPN, or having your work rejected too many times could get your account banned and your earnings lost. A few readers report that their account was banned after a poster rejected their work.

My takeRapidWorkers has closed, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, it could be a decent way to earn a bit extra in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway, but the payout fee and the low pay on many tasks made it hard to recommend. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on RapidWorkers

There was one way to earn: micro-tasks posted by other members. Tap it to read more.

Micro-tasksSet per task
RapidWorkers micro-tasks list

Micro-tasks worked a lot like paid offers on GPT sites, with one difference: the tasks came from other members of the site, not from the site itself or advertisers.

Each task showed how long it should take, what it paid and which workers it was meant for. You could filter the list by target workers, so you only saw the tasks you qualified for. Taking a task not meant for your country usually meant your work was not approved.

You followed the instructions to the letter and submitted your work. When the poster confirmed you had done the task, the money went to your RapidWorkers account.

How much could you make?

It depended on how many tasks you completed, and mostly on where you lived. In the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway, there were more tasks and the earning potential was quite good. Elsewhere, you could find tasks available worldwide, but not the higher-paying ones.

A common complaint was that the tasks did not pay enough, and I agree with that in many cases. You could always see what a task paid before you started, so you could skip the ones that were not worth it. Just look at the full description too, not only the time it says it takes.

How RapidWorkers paid

You earned US dollars for every task, and you could request a payout from $8.

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$8A 6% fee per withdrawal. You had to contact RapidWorkers by email to withdraw.

Your earnings only showed up after the person who posted the task approved your work. If they did not approve or decline it within 6 days, it was approved automatically. After you withdrew, the money usually reached PayPal in a few days.

If you live in a country where PayPal is not available, you could not get paid. For sites without withdrawal fees, see the fastest paying survey sites.

What 25 readers told me

This review has 50 comments since December 2019: 25 from readers and 25 replies from me. These are the three things readers ask about most.

PayPal and withdrawals5 comments

Readers asked about other payout options, how long PayPal takes and whether PayPal had to be verified. PayPal was the only option, and you needed a verified PayPal to withdraw, as far as I am aware.

Approval and safe tasks3 comments

Readers asked how long approval takes and whether tasks that ask for new accounts or selfies are safe. Some tasks were not safe, so choose carefully.

Banned accounts3 comments

A few readers report that their account was banned, two of them after a poster rated their work as not satisfied.

“PayPal as the available payment option kicks me out of Rapid workers.?”

Reader, December 2024
Mikael: It seems they are currently having some issues with PayPal as I also mention in the video in the review above.

“I noticed Rapid workers always ask to open an account on facebook and gmail (even if we have one they ask to create new one) or subscribe to some youtube channel or to send selfie. is this safe?”

Reader, August 2023
Mikael: As I mention in the review above, you should choose your tasks careful. Some of them are unethical, in my opinion, and others are not safe. … But personally I would definitely stay away from tasks that ask you to create extra account and use your personal info to verify them as you never know what those accounts will be used for.

“But suppose if the person who created the job doesn’t approve even after one week, so in that condition does my job gets approved?”

Reader, January 2020
Mikael: If the person who created it has not approved, it will automatically be approved after 6 days.

How I scored RapidWorkers

I use the same 100-point system for every platform. See how I test and rate.

Payout reliability and transparency10 / 25

PayPal from $8, but only PayPal, a 6% fee, a withdrawal by email, and no way to get paid where PayPal does not work.

Earning potential7 / 20

Quite good in six countries, low elsewhere. Many tasks did not pay enough.

Time efficiency and qualification6 / 15

You could filter tasks you qualified for, but posters often understated how long a task took, and approval could take up to 6 days.

Usability and onboarding7 / 15

Simple to use, but an old design, and not ideal on a phone. Registration was not always available.

Country availability7 / 10

Open in almost any country from 18, but only paid where PayPal works.

Support, privacy and transparency6 / 10

A contact form and a FAQ section that covered most of the important topics.

Unique benefits or limits3 / 5

Tasks always available, also worldwide, but some were misleading or not safe.

Total46 / 100 (2.3 / 5)

RapidWorkers scored 46 out of 100 before it closed. To earn today, see these sites.

    • There can be many reasons you got blocked from RapidWorkers. You need to make sure to live up to all their terms: Did you, for example, takes tasks that are not for your country? Did you use VPN? Did a lot of your tasks not get approved because they were not completed according to the requirements?

What reason did they give you when you got blocked?

      Reply
        • I am not sure if you need a verified PayPal account to put money into your RapidWorkers account. But to withdraw earnings, I am pretty sure it has to be verified.

  4. When withdrawing on rapidworkers does the balance go back to $0.00 after withdrawal?

Must the email used in withdrawal be a verified one?

    Reply
    • yes, when you withdraw, the balance will show 0 again since you do not have the money in your account anymore.

and as far as I am aware, you need a verified PayPal to be able to withdraw.

I have one more question do I get immediately paid when my task is completed or does it takes some time?

        Reply
        • OnnrapidWorkers, the person who created the job needs to approve before you will get paid. Sometimes people are very fast at approving but other times you might have to wait for days. There are no set rules for this as it depends on the person that you did the task for.

          • Thanks for your reply.
But suppose if the person who created the job doesn’t approve even after one week, so in that condition does my job gets approved? because I think on micro workers the job get’s approved after one week even if the person who created the job doesn’t approve.
One more last question what do you think is rapid workers best or micro workers or any other(excluding survey’s).
Please let me know and Thanks in advance.

          • If the person who created it has not approved, it will automatically be approved after 6 days.

For the best sites if you do not want to take surveys, you can check out the top GPT sites here. Many of these offer a lot of different ways to earn and they are in my experience all great sites.

          • Not on RapidWorkers. But there are many other sites that offer different payout methods. Which payout method would you prefer? And which country do you live in? Then I will be happy to give a few suggestions for some good options.

  5. The rapidworkers site still paying? Do you have a recent payment proof? I would like to start working on that site but I’m not sure if still paying or not, could you please let me know if still paying?

    Reply
    • Yes, RapidWorkers is still paying. I do not have a recent proof as it is not one of the sites I use very often as I find other sites are more effective.
