Purple Circle has closed

Purple Circle can no longer be downloaded from Google Play, and its website no longer exists. You can still find an APK version of it, but I doubt it will do you any good to download it. You cannot join or earn on it now. I keep my review below as a record. The sites I would pick instead are further down.

Purple Circle was an Android app that paid you in TRX coins for winning trivia games. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which apps and sites I would pick instead.

The short answer

Purple Circle has closed. You can no longer download it from Google Play, and its website no longer exists.

When it was running, it was legit: you really could earn from the trivia games. But earnings were not guaranteed and were capped every day, and it only paid in TRX coins, from $20. Apart from the trivia knowledge, it did not offer much value.

Was Purple Circle legit and safe?

Purple Circle has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because you really could earn from the trivia games. These were the catches.

  • It has closed

Purple Circle is no longer on Google Play, and its website no longer exists. You can find an APK version, but I doubt it will do you any good.

  • No guaranteed earnings

Your earnings were a share of the daily ad earnings, so what a win was worth depended on how much the app earned and how many wins other members had.

  • Capped and slow

You could earn at most 121 wins a day, you had to wait 9 minutes between attempts, and you needed $20 to cash out.

  • Crypto only

You could only withdraw TRX coins to a TRX wallet. If you are not used to crypto, that takes time to learn.

  • One account, one device

Using the same account on more than one device at the same time could get your account banned.

My takePurple Circle has closed, so it is no longer an option. Even when it was running, there were far better apps and sites to earn extra cash. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on Purple Circle

There were two trivia modes that paid. Tap one to read more.

Survival mode2 wins
Purple Circle trivia game modes

You had to answer five questions correctly in a row. There was no opponent and no time limit per question.

Before the game, you watched a video ad, and more ads popped up between questions. One wrong answer ended the game with no reward. Five correct answers gave you 2 wins.

The questions were quite hard. A practice mode helped you get used to them.

True/false mode2 wins

You decided if each statement was true or false. Like the survival mode, you needed five correct answers in a row, and one wrong answer ended the game with no reward.

After each attempt in either mode, you had to wait 9 minutes before you could play again.

How much could you make?

It depended on how good you were at trivia. But with a limit of 121 wins a day, the earning potential was really quite low. Together with the $20 threshold, it took a while before you could withdraw anything.

How Purple Circle paid

Purple Circle shared 50% of its daily ad earnings with the members who earned wins that day. Your share depended on your wins. For example, if the pot was $100, all members together earned 100 wins and you had 10, you got $10.
