Playtime App Review – Worth It? (Full Details + Rating)

Playtime Rating

I don’t recommend you use Playtime because it will take quite a long time before you can earn a decent amount from it. The app has limited earning opportunities and offers very low rewards.

Playtime pays you coins per minute you play its featured games. I tested the app to see if it is worth your time. The rewards are very low, and several readers report cashouts that never arrived. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick first.

Not recommended: very low rewards for your time

50 to 70 coins per minute of play, around 6,900 coins for $1. Android only. Several readers report cashouts that never arrived.

Good for you ifYou only want to try the games, and you do not mind very low rewards.

The short answer

Playtime is a Get-Paid-To (GPT) app that gives you coins per minute you play its featured mobile games. I do not recommend it. The rewards are very low: most games start at 50 to 70 coins per minute, and you need around 6,900 coins for $1.

Since January 2025, several readers have reported cashouts that stayed pending or never arrived, and support that did not resolve it. On top of that, the app is Android only, has no sign-up, and has no help page. Your time is better spent on apps that pay better.

What I like
  • Offers PayPal and gift cards
  • Available more or less worldwide
  • Easy to use, with an intuitive interface
  • A welcome bonus of 3,600 coins
What I don’t like
  • Very low rewards, and they drop the longer you play
  • Several readers report cashouts that never arrived
  • Few featured games, depending on your country
  • Android only
  • No sign-up: your account is locked to your device
  • No website, FAQ or help page in the app

My experience with Playtime

I installed the app, played the featured games, and looked at the referral program, the rewards and the support options. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Playtime legit and safe?

When I tested Playtime, it worked as described: you earn coins for playing. Several readers report that their cashouts did not arrive. Here is what you should know.

  • Several readers report cashouts that never arrived

Since January 2025, most reader comments report a PayPal or gift card cashout that stayed pending for weeks or never came. Some readers were paid small amounts first and then not paid for a larger one. The latest report is from December 2025.

  • Support does not resolve it

There is no website, FAQ or help page in the app. The only contact is an email address on the Google Play page. Readers write that they were ignored, sent to another address, or got copy-paste replies.

  • Very low rewards

Most games start at 50 to 70 coins per minute, and the reward drops the longer you play a game. With around 6,900 coins for $1, it takes a long time to reach a reward.

  • Your account is locked to your device

There is no sign-up. If you install Playtime on another device, it counts as another account. If you uninstall the app, you lose access to all your earnings.

  • Android only, and few games

The app only works on Android. The number of featured games depends on your country, and sometimes there are none.

My takeI don’t recommend you use Playtime because it will take quite a long time before you can earn a decent amount from it. The app has limited earning opportunities and offers very low rewards. In my opinion, your time will be better spent on apps or sites that offer better earning potential.

How you earn on Playtime

There are 2 ways to earn. Playing games is the main one. Tap one to read more.

Playing featured games50 to 70 coins per minute

When you log in, you see all featured games available. The number depends on your location, so sometimes there are none in your country. Then check back from time to time.

Click a game, install it from its app page, and always open it through Playtime’s menu, not from your phone’s menu. That is the only way Playtime can track how long you play, and it pays you per minute.

The longer you play a game, the smaller the reward. Move on to the next game when the rewards drop significantly. See also the best ways to earn by playing games online.

Referral program3,600 coins each
Playtime referral program

Click the Invite button to invite people. When they accept, you and your referral both receive 3,600 coins. Playtime changes this reward from time to time. It is an easy way to earn coins, but Playtime is not something I would recommend to my friends.

How much can you make?

You will not earn a lot from Playtime. The rewards drop the longer you play a game, and there are not many featured games at any given time.

Most games start at 50 to 70 coins per minute, which is quite a low rate, in my opinion. With around 6,900 coins for $1, it takes quite a long time to reach a reward. Several readers also write that their cashout never arrived. Its earning potential is just way too low.

Reward options

MethodCoins neededNotes
PayPalAround 6,900 coins for $1When I tested. It can vary by country.
Gift cardsVariesAmazon, Google Play and more

It is quite hard to determine the exact value of your coins, because the number needed varies by reward and by country.

Several readers report that their cashouts stayed pending or never arrived. If you still use Playtime, do not let a large balance build up. For apps with a convenient payout method, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

Who can join, and which devices

Playtime does not say which countries it is available in. As far as I can tell, it is available more or less worldwide. Search for Playtime Rewards on Google Play: if it shows up, you can use it.

There is no sign-up. When you open the app for the first time, you get a welcome bonus of 3,600 coins, and you can start playing. Your account is limited to that device.

Playtime is mobile-only and only works on Android. If you use an iPhone, see the best money-making apps for iOS.

One reader wrote that the app is good.

“I have cashed out three different times to PayPal, the lowest amount being $3.00, which was paid in a few minutes. Then, I decided to save and cash out a larger amount of $10.00. It took me many hours to earn, but they never paid me.”

Mikael: Sorry to hear that but thanks for sharing your warning.

“When I cashed out the rewards just show pending. They’ve been pending for weeks. When I email for support I get told to email a different address-only to get told to email elsewhere.”

  1. They pay you in your coins for tasks but when you complete cash payout tasks they never pay you and when you try to complain you just get ignored

      • I played the games, earned points, and requested a gift card — but got nothing. Support is useless. They just send the same copy-paste replies and never resolve anything. It’s been weeks with no reward. Totally untrustworthy. Avoid this app.

  2. Playtime app. Never paid out. When I cashed out the rewards just show pending. They’ve been pending for weeks. When I email for support I get told to email a different address-only to get told to email elsewhere.

Basically I’ve earned £40 Amazon vouchers and Playtime have not honoured them.

So I’ve been defrauded. Which means there are legal recourses
