Playback Rewards Review – Worth it? (REAL Inside Look)

Playback Rewards Rating

Playback Rewards isn’t a bad site to earn from. However, it also doesn’t offer any good reason for you to use it because its earning potential is very low.

I checked out Playback Rewards, a platform that pays you to play mobile games. It is legit and pays through PayPal or gift cards, but the rewards are low, your first cashout is $25, and it is only open in four countries. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick first.

Partially Tested Last tested

Legit, but low rewards and a high first cashout

Game missions pay coins and piggy bank tokens. Your first PayPal or gift card cashout is $25, then from $5. Only in the US, Canada, Australia and Ukraine.

Good for you ifYou live in the US, Canada, Australia or Ukraine, play mobile games anyway, and do not mind a $25 first cashout.
Skip it ifYou want to earn efficiently, live in another country, or do not want to make in-game purchases for the bigger rewards.

The short answer

Playback Rewards is legit, but it does not give you a good reason to use it. You earn coins and piggy bank tokens for missions in mobile games, and you redeem them for PayPal cash or gift cards.

The earning potential is very low, and your first cashout needs $25 in both currencies. Missions that pay well ask you to make in-game purchases, and the platform is only available in four countries.

What I like
  • Pays through PayPal and gift cards
  • User-friendly, with no pop-up ads
  • Purchase missions are optional
What I don’t like
  • Low rewards
  • A high first threshold: $25
  • Two currencies make the payout system more complicated than it should be
  • Only available in four countries
  • The app only works on Android

My experience with Playback Rewards

I signed up with my Google account and went through the featured games, the weekly quests, the referral program and the rewards. This is what I checked myself, and what I did not test.

Is Playback Rewards legit and safe?

Yes, Playback Rewards is legit. But legit does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Low rewards for your time

Most missions pay around 200 to 500 coins and 20 to 50 piggy bank tokens, which is around $0.20 to $0.50. Completing a mission takes some time, so you are not earning efficiently.

  • A high first cashout

Your first redemption needs 2,500 piggy bank tokens and 25,000 coins for a $25 gift card or PayPal cash. After that, the threshold drops to $5.

  • The big rewards ask you to spend money

Missions that pay a lot more involve in-game purchases, and one weekly quest asks you to spend at least $4.95. They are optional. In my opinion, they are not profitable.

  • Only four countries

Playback Rewards is only available in the US, Canada, Australia and Ukraine.

  • The app is Android only

On an iPhone, you can still use the member dashboard in your browser, because it works well on mobile.

My takeIn my opinion, Playback Rewards isn’t a bad site to earn from. However, it also doesn’t offer any good reason for you to use it because its earning potential is very low. You’ll have to invest a lot of time just to hit its initial payout threshold (which is also very high, I might add).

Playback Rewards pays very little for your time. These sites in your country pay a lot more.

How you earn on Playback Rewards

There are 3 ways to earn. Playing the featured games is the main one. Tap one to read more.

Playing the featured games200 to 500 coins per mission
Featured games on Playback Rewards

When you log in, you see all the games you can play. They are mobile games, so you install them on your phone. Each game has missions, and most of them ask you to reach a certain level or play for a certain time.

The missions do not pay much, from what I saw. Some pay a lot more, but they all involve in-game purchases. They are optional, so you can stick to the missions without a purchase. You earn piggy bank tokens and coins.

Weekly questsBonus rewards
Playback Rewards weekly quests

Weekly quests give you bonus rewards for being active. One asks you to play a featured game for 10 minutes. Another asks you to make an in-game purchase of at least $4.95. A third one is about the referral program.

They are easy if you keep using the platform, but there are only a few, so do not expect to earn a lot from them.

Referral program500 coins per referral
Playback Rewards referral program

Share your referral link. When someone signs up through it, you get 500 coins. When your referral makes in-game purchases, you get piggy bank tokens, up to 50.

It is simple, but the reward is not that good.

How much can you make?

Not a lot. Most missions pay around 200 to 500 coins and 20 to 50 piggy bank tokens. That is around $0.20 to $0.50 per mission. It may not sound bad, but a mission takes some time to complete.

So I would consider its earning potential to be quite low. You need to invest a lot of time just to reach the $25 threshold for your first cashout.

Payout methods and minimums

CashoutMinimumMethods
Your first cashout$25 (2,500 piggy bank tokens and 25,000 coins)PayPal or a gift card
After that$5 (500 piggy bank tokens and 5,000 coins)Gift cards such as Walmart and Target. In my screenshot, the lowest PayPal option was $10.

The payout options are convenient, but I am not sure why Playback Rewards uses two currencies to redeem a reward. It makes the payout system more complicated than it should be.
