I tested EmeraldBux, a Paid-to-Click (PTC) site that pays more per ad than most. Below is what I found, what it takes to get paid, and which sites I would pick first.
High pay per ad, but 100 ads and then referrals before you can withdraw
Pays far more per ad than other PTC sites. You need 100 ads, and members say then 10 referrals, before you can withdraw.

The short answer
EmeraldBux is a PTC site that pays up to €0.2 per ad. At first glance it looks like a great PTC site, but in my opinion that offer is too good to be true.
It says there is no payout threshold, but you have to view at least 100 ads, and members say it then asks for 10 referrals before you can withdraw. I stopped at that point. Its terms also say it can choose not to pay you for any reason. In my opinion, for most people it will be a waste of time, and I would pick other sites first.
- Available worldwide
- No payout threshold, on paper
- Hidden conditions before you can withdraw
- The terms say it can choose not to pay you for any reason
- Limited earning opportunities
- The site is not optimized for mobile use
My experience with EmeraldBux
I signed up, viewed ads until I could ask for a withdrawal, and read the terms. I also made a video that gives you an inside look. This is what I tested, and what I did not test.

Is EmeraldBux legit and safe?
EmeraldBux pays you for viewing ads, but it sets conditions before you can withdraw. Here is what you should know before you join.
- Hidden conditions before you can withdraw
EmeraldBux says you can withdraw anytime. In reality, you have to view at least 100 ads first. Members say it then asks for 10 referrals, and some say that after that you have to spend money. Its FAQ does not tell you this.
- Terms that let it not pay you
The terms say it can close your account at any time, that it can choose not to pay you for any reason, and that it will not pay you if it has not made a profit from your membership. Terms like that are a complete deal-breaker.
- The pay per ad is a red flag
You will never find a PTC site that pays you €0.2 per ad. You do not even have to view the ad: you wait for a bar to load. Why would advertisers pay this much when nobody checks that the ad is watched?
- You can lose money on upgrades
EmeraldBux strongly encourages you to pay to upgrade, with up to €0.50 per click. Most people will end up losing money.
My takeWhen a site asks you to jump through hoops before you can withdraw your earnings, it is usually a sign that it is not a good site to join. I stopped when I got the message that I needed 10 referrals, and when I then read the terms, it became even clearer why it was a great decision to stop.
These sites let you withdraw what you earn without hidden conditions.

There are only 2 ways to earn. Tap one to read more.
Viewing ads€0.05 to €0.2
Log in and click “Earn Money” in the menu. There are three types of ads: extended ads pay €0.2, standard ads €0.10 and micro ads €0.05.
When you click an ad, a new tab opens. You do not actually have to view it: you go back to EmeraldBux and wait for a bar to load. Each ad takes less than a minute, and there are not many ads, so you finish them all within an hour or less.
Referral program€0.05 per referral click
Share your invite link or embed your invite banner on your website. People who register through it become your referrals, and you earn €0.05 for every ad they view.
You only earn from your referrals’ clicks if you viewed at least 4 ads the day before. For a PTC site, that pay per referral click is so high that it becomes suspicious.
How much can you make?
On paper, EmeraldBux pays quite well for a PTC site. That is where the problem is: the offer is too good to be true. If you have not joined a PTC site before, you will not notice it.
It offers a very high rate, so you seem to earn a decent amount with little effort. But it virtually makes it impossible to withdraw your earnings. I am not saying EmeraldBux never pays: you can likely get paid if you invite a lot of people and get them to pay to upgrade. But the terms say it can stop paying you at any time, for any reason.
How you get paid
| What EmeraldBux says | What it takes |
|---|---|
| No payout threshold | View at least 100 ads first |
| Withdraw anytime | Members say it then asks for 10 referrals, and some say you then have to spend money |
| Pays for every ad you view | The terms say it can choose not to pay you for any reason |
EmeraldBux does not tell you how you can withdraw. Its payment proof page shows PayPal, Perfect Money, Payeer and Bitcoin.
