ClixBlue Review – Is it Legit? (NOT Worth Your Time)

ClixBlue Rating

ClixBlue is a PTC site with several earning opportunities, but it also has some disadvantages. Even though there are plenty of ways you can earn, the rewards just pales in comparison to many other sites.

I tested ClixBlue, a Paid-to-Click (PTC) site that pays you to view ads and do small online tasks. It is legit, but the rewards are tiny, and the best earning options cost you money. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Not worth your time: tiny rewards, and you pay to earn more

Ads pay around $0.001 each. You need $2 and cashout points to withdraw, unless you pay to upgrade.

Good for you ifYou already know PTC sites, like a forum community, and only want to try it for free.
Skip it ifYou want your time to pay, you do not want to pay for upgrades or referrals, or pop-up ads bother you.

The short answer

ClixBlue is a legit PTC site that pays you for the activities it offers. It has plenty of ways to earn, a ticket system and a forum.

But the rewards are tiny: around $0.001 per ad, so about 1,000 ads for $1. As a standard member, you also need cashout points before you can withdraw. To really earn, you have to invest money in a membership upgrade or rented referrals, and you can lose that money. It is not worth your time, in my opinion.

What I like
  • Plenty of earning opportunities
  • Great support system: tickets and a forum
  • Has several payment methods
  • Open to anyone, worldwide
What I don’t like
  • Earning potential is low
  • The website lacks relevant information, which affects the user experience
  • You have to invest to have a chance of really earning
  • Many spammy pop-up ads
  • Standard members need cashout points to withdraw

My experience with ClixBlue

I registered, viewed ads, played BlueGrid and went through the other earning options, the cashout rules and the membership levels. I also made a guided video tour. This is what I tested, and what I did not test.

Is ClixBlue legit and safe?

ClixBlue is a legit PTC site, and it has been around for years. But legit does not mean worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • My ad views were not credited

When I viewed ads, the promised reward did not show up in my account, not even after I waited about a minute. Members say you wait around 10 seconds. BlueGrid rewards did reach my account.

  • You can lose money on upgrades and referrals

You can pay to upgrade your membership or to buy and rent referrals. There is no guarantee rented referrals stay active, and commissions are low. Calculate what it takes to earn your money back before you spend anything.

  • Cashout points for standard members

As a standard member, you need cashout points as well as $2 in your balance. You only get cashout points from offer walls and bonus ads. Paid upgrades remove this rule.

  • Spammy pop-up ads

The site shows pop-up ads regularly. My antivirus program was very busy blocking them, which means they can be risky. For me, that is a deal-breaker.

  • Little information on the site

The site does not list its payment methods, and many parts are unclear, like the bonus offers. You have to do plenty of guesswork.

My takeEven though ClixBlue has plenty of earning opportunities, the rewards really pale in comparison to sites with better earning potential. You have to invest a significant amount of time just to earn $1, and that time is better spent on offers from sites that pay better. If you are not sure what you are doing, you can also lose money on upgrades or rented referrals.

ClixBlue pays around $0.001 per ad. The top sites in your country pay far more for your time, and you never have to pay to upgrade.

How you earn on ClixBlue

There are 8 ways to earn, but most pay very little. Tap one to read more.

Easy JobsVaries by task
Easy Jobs on ClixBlue

Easy Jobs are like the paid offers on GPT sites: answer a survey, take a quiz, sign up for a website or do another simple online task. The jobs come from partner websites. When you complete one, the reward goes into your ClixBlue account.

Most of what you see in the Earn tab is already listed under Easy Jobs.

Watching videosVery low

You are sent to a site like Hideout.tv to watch videos. Usually you need to watch a minimum number of videos before you get the reward. It takes a lot of video watching to earn any real money.

Viewing adsAround $0.001 per ad
View Ads section on ClixBlue

Go to Earn Money, then View Ads. You click an ad, stay on the site for a number of seconds, and earn the reward. Members say around 10 seconds.

When I tried it, the reward was not credited, not even after about a minute. Even when it works, an ad usually pays less than a cent, around $0.001. You would need around 1,000 ads to earn $1.

BlueGrid$0.00010 + 0.10 credits
ClixBlue BlueGrid game

Click a square in the grid and watch the ad that pops up for 5 seconds. You earn $0.00010 and 0.10 credits, and you can win contest entries. This reward was credited to my account. It does not pay much, but it takes little effort.

Treasure chestBonus
ClixBlue treasure chest

Watch at least 4 ads and open 4 squares in BlueGrid, and you can open the treasure chest. It usually gives you points or a deposit bonus. A nice addition, in my opinion.

Offer wallsVaries by offer
Offer walls on ClixBlue

Pick an offer wall and an offer, and follow the instructions. Most offers ask you to complete a survey, sign up for a website or answer a quiz. For surveys, you have to qualify first, so not every survey pays.

Offer walls are also one of the two ways to earn cashout points.

Referral programRisky
ClixBlue referral market

You can refer friends with your link, or buy or rent referrals from ClixBlue, with your own money or your balance. You earn a percentage of what your referrals earn.

I am not a fan. Spending money to earn money defeats the purpose of a rewards site. There is no guarantee rented referrals stay active, and with the low rewards, commissions are very low. You can also sell or rent out your own referrals in the referral market.

Bonus offersUnclear
ClixBlue bonus offers

You post proof of a payment you got from another site and send it to ClixBlue. If you qualify, you get a bonus. The process is not very clear.

How much can you make?

PTC sites are not ideal for earning compared with survey sites and GPT sites. See the difference between PTC, GPT and survey sites.

On ClixBlue, it depends on how active you are and how much you invest. There are 4 membership levels. If you upgrade from standard, your earning potential rises, but you pay for it. You can pay for an upgrade with your balance, so if you want to upgrade, earn it on the site first. Then you do not lose money from your own bank account if it does not work out.

Overall, the time it takes to earn a significant amount does not hold up against the top GPT sites. The earning potential is not very good.
