I tested the Cash Buddy app to see if its games are worth your time. The rewards are very low, there are few games, and several readers report cashouts that did not arrive. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick first.
Not worth your time: very low rewards and few games
Coins per minute you play its featured games. PayPal from $1, Android only, no account.

The short answer
Cash Buddy is not worth your time. You earn coins for every minute you play its featured mobile games, and you can cash out $1 to PayPal. But the rewards are very low, there are few games, and the coins per minute drop the longer you play.
Several readers also report cashouts stuck on “pending” and rewards they did not get, and the app has no help page or contact form. There is no account: your coins stay on one Android device. I do not recommend it.
- Pays through PayPal
- Low payout threshold: $1 to PayPal
- Available more or less worldwide
- Few featured games, so limited ways to earn
- Very low rewards that drop the longer you play
- No help page or contact form in the app
- No account: your coins stay on one device
- Android only, with pop-up ads
- Several readers report cashouts that did not arrive
My experience with Cash Buddy

Is Cash Buddy legit and safe?
You can earn coins on Cash Buddy, but several readers report problems getting their money, and you have no account to fall back on. Here is what you should know.
- Several readers report cashouts that did not arrive
Since late 2024, readers have told me about cashouts stuck on “pending” for more than a week, and a PayPal cashout that was changed to an Amazon gift card. Support confirmed that mistake but did not reverse it. None of these readers wrote back that they were paid.
- Offers that ask you to spend money
Some games offer a cash reward if you buy coins in the game. Readers paid for these purchases and did not get the reward. Do not spend money to earn on Cash Buddy.
- No account, so your coins sit on one phone
There is no registration. If you install the app on another device, you start from scratch. If you uninstall it, you lose all the coins you earned.
- Very low rewards
The coins per minute drop the longer you play a game, until you earn practically nothing, and there are not many games to move on to. It takes a lot of time to earn $1.
- Hardly any support
The app has no FAQ, help page or contact form. The only contact is the email address on its Google Play page.
My takeIf it’s not quite clear yet, I don’t recommend you install Cash Buddy. It doesn’t offer any reason for you to use it. Its earning potential is very low, and it doesn’t provide good support. You are better off investing your time in apps and sites with better earning potential.
Cash Buddy pays very little, and there are few games. These game apps and sites are a better use of your time.

There are 3 ways to earn. Playing games is where most of the coins come from. Tap one to read more.
Playing gamesPer minute, drops over time
Pick a featured game and allow usage access, so Cash Buddy can track how long you play. Always open the game from Cash Buddy, not from your phone’s menu, or it cannot track your playtime.
You earn a certain number of coins per minute. The longer you play the same game, the fewer coins you earn, until you practically earn nothing. When I tested it, there were not many featured games, so you run out of ways to earn quickly.
Bonus challenges3 a day
Every day, you can claim extra coins for being active, mostly for earning a certain number of coins that day. Claim them in the My Tasks section. There are only three challenges per day, so they do not add much.
Share and Earn500 coins per install
Share a link to a game the app promotes on your social media. When someone clicks the link and installs the game, you get 500 coins. If they only click, you get 2 coins. In my opinion, the games are not really worth promoting.
How much can you make?
You will not earn a lot from Cash Buddy. The starting rate for the featured games is usually low, it drops the longer you play, and there are few games to move on to.
So it takes a long time to reach even the $1 threshold. You have to invest a lot of time just to earn $1, which is not a good sign.
Payout method and minimum
| Method | Minimum |
|---|---|
| PayPal | $1 (6,999 coins) |
You convert your coins to cash through PayPal. The coin-to-cash rate is not fixed, so it is hard to know what your coins are worth. Readers also mention cashouts to Amazon and Google Play gift cards. If you want more apps with a convenient cashout, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
What readers told me
This review has 18 comments since 2024: 10 from readers and 8 replies from me. These are the three things readers report most.
Readers who had been paid before waited hours or more than a week for new cashouts to PayPal, Amazon or Google Play. If this happens, contact support.
Readers bought coins in a game to complete an offer, and the reward did not come. Do not spend money to earn on Cash Buddy.
Readers got no reply, or support confirmed a mistake but did not fix it.

“I played Merkur24 slot machine and it said that if I purchased £9 worth of coins then they would send me £15.27 real cash back,Guess what happened, Yes,nothing.”
Mikael: Thanks for sharing your experiences. I agree it is not worth it and that the support is poor, as I also explain in the review above.

Hi
How do I do this ?
I explain all the details in the review above.
It’s been over a week now when I cashed out £20.00 and £5.00 on Cash Buddy for Amazon vouchers. It’s still showing as “pending”
I have had no problem in the past. So why now
You need to contact their support about this.
Let me know how it goes.
I have been playing on Cash Buddy for a couple of months and it worked surprisingly well when it comes to cashing out some money to Amazon gift card and to Google play balance. Yes sometimes it would have a “glitch” by not giving credit for reaching certain levels on some games but I haven’t had any problems with getting my cash outs until today. About a week ago it started taking away time for limited time offer on Monopoly game for spend “this much” and earn “this much”(which would be only a $2 earning each time). The count down time until the offer ends would be 11 hr 47min and out of blue it would disappear when page would refresh after I would make a purchase in Monopoly game to meet that offer’s goal, and it wouldn’t give me a credit and my earning for that. Then a day or two later it would pop up with amount needed to spend being the same as when it disappeared when I made purchase for that specific amount. Frustrating, but I figured they would try to cut corners here and there sometimes. Well, today I tried to cash out $20 to Google play and $50 to Amazon gift card and it’s been 10hrs and it’s still showing being processed (where normally it would take 10-30 minutes). I did my share of in-game spending to play the game believing I would get my money back plus extra few bucks. Oh well, nothing is fair these days, and the scammers are multiplying faster than flies. It’s a shame what people will do to still a few bucks
Thanks for sharing your experiences and your warning.
In the past I never had any problems cashing out money from Cash buddy to my paypal but recently after reaching my goal of 30$ I withdraw the 30$ to my paypal, to my surprised the withdraw was changed for an Amazon gift card. That was their error. I reached the support desk and they confirmed of their mistake but could not reverse their own error without any explication. Without any support, this app is a completely a waste of time.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Keep me updated if anything changes.
Why has my 2nd comment disappeared?. I wrote about CashBuddy on 30/9/24 and now its gone just like my 1st review.
I do not know. I have not deleted any comments from you.
The game levels don’t always get credited to your total. I played Merkur24 slot machine and it said that if I purchased £9 worth of coins then they would send me £15.27 real cash back,Guess what happened, Yes,nothing. No cash for me. I tried to contact them numerous times but got no reply,I tried to get a refund off GooglePlay but apparently being scammed isn’t against their policy for a refund. Go figure. Anyway Avoid this app.
