Bananatic Review – Scam or Legit? (What It Really Offers)

Bananatic Rating

Bananatic is a legit option if you want to earn extra by playing games. There are always offers available but the downside is that the rewards are fairly low and it is confusing to use. But if you like playing games, it can be an option.

Bananatic is a GPT site for gamers that rewards you with bananas for playing games. I tested it myself. Below is what you can earn, how you get paid, and which sites I would pick instead.

Legit, but it pays very little for your time

Bananatic pays you in bananas for playing games, offers and more. It is legit and has several payment options, but the rewards are low, PayPal starts at $20, and the site is confusing to use.

Good for you ifYou like playing games and want to earn a little on the side, for example Steam keys or game currency.
Skip it ifYou are in it for the money. Other GPT sites pay more for less time.

The short answer

Bananatic is a legit GPT site that will pay you to play games. You earn bananas, its own currency, for playing games, cashback offers, offer walls, writing articles and watching videos.

But the earning potential is low. You have to play a lot of games and complete a lot of offers to collect enough bananas, PayPal starts at $20, and the website is confusing, so it is easy to waste time on it. I would not recommend it if you are in it just for the money.

What I like
  • Fun ways to earn rewards, mostly by playing games
  • Several payment options: PayPal, Visa prepaid cards, Steam Wallet, game codes and gift cards
  • A small joining bonus
  • Open in any country
What I don’t like
  • Low earning potential
  • Quite time-consuming
  • The website is confusing to learn
  • A $20 minimum for PayPal
  • The BananApp mobile app is no longer in the app stores

My experience with Bananatic

I tested Bananatic thoroughly: I signed up, went through every way to earn and looked at the payment and support options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Bananatic legit and safe?

Yes, Bananatic is legit. It pays you to play games and complete offers. These are the catches to know before you spend time on it.

  • Low rewards

Most offers do not pay well. You have to play a lot of games, complete plenty of offers, and write articles or make videos to collect enough bananas.

  • A high PayPal minimum

You need at least $20 to withdraw through PayPal, which is quite high compared to similar platforms. Game rewards start lower, from 250 bananas.

  • Confusing to use

The design and interface of the website are quite confusing, so you can easily spend a lot of time just figuring out how it works.

  • Some readers report account problems

Two readers report that their account was blocked or banned, and two others that bananas or game registrations stayed pending. Contact Bananatic’s support if this happens to you.

My takeBananatic is a fun way to earn a small amount while you play games. That is better than playing without earning anything. But if you want to earn a decent amount in less time, other GPT sites are a better choice.

How to earn on Bananatic

There are six ways to earn bananas. Tap each one to read more.

Play gamesSet per game
Bananatic games you can play for bananas

This is the main way to earn. Each game shows its reward, and you get it when you meet the requirement, usually reaching a certain level or completing a certain quest. The bananas are then credited to your account.

When I tested it, there were not a lot of featured games you could play, so your earnings from this are a bit limited.

Cashback offersBananas per Euro
Bananatic cashback offers

You earn a number of bananas for each Euro you spend at a partner store, not a cash amount as on regular cashback sites.

There were not a lot of products you could buy to earn rewards when I tested it.

Offer wallsSet per offer
Bananatic offer walls

Pick an offer wall and you see a list of offers, each with a reward in bananas. Most ask you to complete a survey, register for a site, answer quizzes or install mobile apps.

Each offer has conditions you must meet before you get the reward.

Bananapedia articles and videos100 to 500 bananas per article
Bananatic Bananapedia

You can write articles or make videos about games, patches, game events and more. Articles pay by membership level: 100 bananas for basic members, 200 for premium members and 500 for master members. The article must be unique.

For videos, you upload them to YouTube and link your YouTube account. There is not much information on what videos pay, but in my experience, the longer the video, the more you get. You also earn experience points to level up your account.

Watch videos1 banana per about 1000 seconds
Bananatic BananaTube videos

In BananaTube, you press play and a timer counts the bananas you earn. It takes approximately 1000 seconds to earn one banana, so it is not an efficient way to earn. Playing games or the offer walls are better uses of your time.

Referral program€1 per referral
Bananatic referral program

You earn €1 for each person who joins through your referral link, once they have earned at least 500 bananas. You can also invite people through Facebook and Twitter.

How much can you make?

It depends on how active you are, but most offers do not pay well. The site also has a level-up system: the more games, offers and other activities you do, the more experience you get and the higher your account level. Bananatic does not say much about what a higher level gives you, but in my experience, it usually means more benefits.

There is also Bananabet, where you bet bananas to win in-game items and rewards. If you lose, the bet is deducted from your balance, so it is not a good way to earn.

If you are in it for the money, I would not recommend Bananatic. For sites that pay more for your time, see the top GPT sites.

How Bananatic pays

You exchange your bananas for rewards. These are the options and minimums.

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$20You must be 18 or older
Visa prepaid card$5 (2500 bananas)
Game codes, in-game currency and items250 bananasThe cheapest reward is a random Steam key
Steam Wallet and Amazon gift cardsDepends on the reward

Can you use it on mobile?

Bananatic had an app called BananApp (it used to be called Bananatic) for Android and iOS. When I last updated this review, I could no longer find it on Google Play or the App Store, so the app seems to be no longer available.

You can still log in to the member dashboard in a mobile browser. It is mobile-friendly, so you can earn from your phone.

Who can join Bananatic?

Bananatic is available for everyone. The website does not say so, but the registration does not ask for your location or your age. To withdraw through PayPal, you must be 18 or older.

You sign up with Facebook, Google or your email. The registration feels like creating a game character: you pick a name and answer a few simple questions. You get 50 bananas right away, and up to 150 bananas in total when you also join the newsletter or turn on notifications.

Can you get support?

You can contact the support team through a contact form. There is also a FAQ section that covers most basic topics, and forums where you can look for answers yourself.

Bananatic also has a chat where you can talk with other members and ask them for tips. Overall, it offers a decent way to get help.

  2. This was a very poorly run site with no help. I would Not recommend it to anyone. Every time I registered to test a game, it would keep saying registration pending. This would happen even when I got a confirmation email saying I was approved. I couldn’t get any help except to be told to clear my cookies etc, and make sure popup blockers weren’t enabled. Don’t waste your time.
